"Take this fifty thousand taels of gold as a betrothal gift for marrying Isis,” said Rocky as he showed the gold in the box

However, this scene shocked everyone in the room upon seeing what Rocky had just done.

In total, all of the things inside the boxes were estimated at a worth of at least a hundred thousand taels of gold. Anyone with common sense could guess the amount for everyone knew how valuable each piece was. Everything Rocky had given Isis as the betrothal present was of so much value that it was equal to a huge sum of money.

Seeing Rocky's lavish presents, both Lance and Isis were also surprised. As a matter of fact, they had never heard Rocky mention anything about betrothal gifts. The proposal for today was supposed to just go through the motions, but Rocky had already brought such expensive betrothal presents without letting them know in advance.

Rocky had initially intended to keep the whole thing as short and as simple as possible. However, right when he realized how Isis was very much willing to sacrifice her lifetime of happiness just to help him, he felt that he needed to do more and show his gratitude to her. After all, he knew that no one other than Isis could make a sacrifice this big. Feeling that he needed to give more to Isis, he wanted the proposal to be so eye-catching that it would certainly grab everyone's attention. He thought that he could make a simple proposal even grander. Moreover, he thought that the gifts could also give Isis some comfort for all of her sacrifices. To make this happen, he went to the Super Beast Farm on purpose. There, he asked Shawn to prepare several boxes of betrothal presents for him. After all, he could actually afford several gifts for money was not an issue to him. It was no big deal for him since the treasures that he had put up for sale in the Super Beast Farm were several times more expensive than the total cost of the betrothal presents that he had just purchased. Despite of how all the people present there were astonished at the sight of the grand display of betrothal presents, they also thought that Lance would not think too much of those things. Being one of the Three Great Generals in the Holy Dragon Empire, Lance and his daughter were very known and popular with all the citizens. Even though Rocky gave his all, the citizens were still unsure if he would succeed with his proposal.

But of course, none of the onlookers in the area knew about the truth. Little did they know that everything that they were seeing was just a play. That was why it would not be so surprising if they were to be stunned by the end of it all

Right when the people were whispering among themselves, Rocky took out a seemingly precious bottle out of his pocket. Handing the bottle over to Lance, he said, "Take this bottle of miracle liquid as a gift from me, my future father-in-law. This miracle liquid is an effective complement for spiritual power practice, and can also help heal wounds quickly."

Nodding, Lance accepted the gift with a smile on his face. Initially, Lance took the bottle of miracle liquid as something ordinarily refined from a special mix of flowers and herbs, and thought that Rocky just used this to keep up appearances. But right after Lance held the bottle with his own hands, he immediately felt the spiritual power inside of it. Shocked, Lance had the ability to tell the difference between a superior liquid power and a poor one. And for a moment, he felt an intense wave happening from inside the bottle that was given to him.

Lance wondered what was inside the bottle. Curious, he uncapped the bottle in front of all the people. Once he opened it, a streak of miraculous light was emitted out of the bottle, which smelled of a special aura fragrance. It might have only been a glimmer of light, but everyone could clearly see it and smell the faint scent that it brought.

"This miracle liquid is quite unusual. This could perhaps be considered as something rare in the world, right?" Lance asked as he glanced at Rocky.

"This kind of miracle liquid is also known as magical saliva, which possesses the similar effect with the legendary Dragon Saliva. Even though it is not as miraculous as the Dragon Saliva, we can still claim that it is indeed, rare at any rate,” said Rocky, with pride in his voice.

Meanwhile, the onlookers in the hall all admired Rocky upon hearing what he had just explained. This was because everyone knew that the Dragon Saliva was a legendary elixir that could make the dead come back to life. Rocky's bottle showed that it was magical, giving them the impression that it was also something very extraordinary and rare. With that, people assumed it to be more valuable than all of the other betrothal gifts that Rocky had just shown.

"And next I have..." There was more to what he had already offered. Rocky continued his presentation, saying "next", right after showing respect to his future father-in-law.

Thinking that Rocky's presentation was already done, everyone in the hall were surprised to hear him say that there was more. In disbelief, everyone kept looking at Rocky as they were all anticipating what he would take out next.

Coming from the outside, a maid entered the hall holding a tray that was covered by a piece of red cloth. She walked towards Rocky and stopped as soon as she was beside him.

"Here. This is my special present for you, Isis," Rocky said as he uncovered the red cloth.

Suddenly, a bright light was emitted from something black on the tray. There, Isis saw four extremely delicate Dark Heaven Eggs that laid alongside the tray.

"Middle-grade Dark Heaven Eggs..."

"I can't believe my eyes! Dark Heaven Eggs! I can't believe that he has four of them!"

"I thought that it would be really incredible if we have one Dark Heaven Egg. But look at him, he's got four!"

The entire hall burst into a heated discussion immediately upon seeing what Rocky had on the tray. Even Lance and Isis were both astonished upon seeing what else Rocky had to offer. It was already amazing that he had taken out a miracle liquid, but apparently, that was still not enough for him because he also brought not one, but four middle-grade Dark Heaven Eggs!

Right at that moment, Rocky had shocked them once again and people could not help admiring him for being so low-key. Not everyone knew that he had such a great fortune and it was very easy for him to take out and present such rare and invaluable stuff even the spirit manipulators were eager for. Seeing him display his wealth like this made him seen by other people in a new light. Just when everyone's attention was on Rocky, Lance stood up and looked around at everyone in the hall. Then, he spoke with grace, "I would like to welcome all of you to my banquet. Today, I am going to make an announcement and you are all invited to witness this. As of this time, I have made up my mind on whom should I betroth my daughter to — Rocky, you may now take my daughter as your wife."

Just as soon as he finished his announcement, the onlookers were again discussing heatedly about his decision.

Looking back, Rocky was seen by everyone as nothing but a small potato. But after a year, he had already won Lance's recognition and even let him betroth his daughter. With the sudden rise in his life and his social status, everyone looked at him and saw him as a very lucky fellow.

"I see that congratulations are in order, Commander in Chief, for having such an excellent son-in- law. And to you, Miss Isis, for finally finding your Mr. Right. Also congratulations to Commander Rocky. You're very fortunate enough to marry such a beautiful, lovely, brilliant, and talented lady as Miss Isis..." said Allen, who stepped forward to facilitate this joyous occasion gracefully.

The whole room quieted down after that. It was such big news and nothing could ever change Lance's decision. Seeing it as final, the onlookers had nothing to do but congratulate the future couple, Isis and Rocky, and also Lance, in succession.

"And since there is a war approaching us, I will select their wedding day as soon as possible. By then, I will hold a grand banquet to celebrate this joyous occasion, in which all of you are invited to attend,” Lance added.

Meanwhile, after their play had ended, Lance and Allen went straight to the conference hall along with some Elite Commanders to discuss their current military situation. The onlookers left the hall, too.

Suddenly, Isis walked up to Rocky as she looked at the boxes suspiciously. Curious, she could not help but ask, "Where on earth did you get all the money for this? You have never mentioned giving betrothal gifts before. And about that bottle of miracle liquid you gave to my father, I guess it was not the one I once took, right? That was a very unusual elixir, and yet you gave my father a bottle of it. And you also offered four middle-grade Dark Heaven Eggs. You are really generous!”

"So what? You don't mean you also want to take my private coffer, do you? You are not my wife yet," Rocky asked back. "Do I have to hand all the money that I earn to you for safe keeping from now on? "Marin..." Isis called the lady at once.

Turning around, Rocky saw Marin, who was already standing beside them. However, something was pretty odd as she didn't look so well on her face...
