Therefore, it served as the prosperous trading hub between the two countries.

The Magical Beast House was very famous all across the Timber Deity Empire and spawned 10 branches across the empire. Although it didn't have as much branches like the Super Beast Farm in the Holy Dragon Empire, it still provided excellent quality beasts on sale. It even sold beasts from a two-star rating all the way to a four-star rating which were very rare for ordinary spirit manipulators. The reason why the Magical Beast House could sell a diverse set of beasts was because the Barren City itself was home to many kinds of spirit-manipulated beasts. Except for the southern part of the city, which bordered the inland area of the Timber Deity Empire, the place was crawling with spirit- manipulated beasts, including the dangerous desert where Rocky had been to.

It seemed that the area where Barren City was located was a paradise for spirit-manipulated beasts. You could even tell it just by judging from the different types of spirit-manipulated beasts found in the beast farm of the Magical Beast House.

There was no argument that there were as many spirit-manipulated beasts in Barren City as on the Gehenna Border, but the former was much safer. Because of a pact made by the Timber Deity Empire and the Magic Phoenix Empire, there were no wars between the two countries for years. Thus, on the border of the two countries, Barren City was very peaceful

As a result of the thriving spirit-manipulated beast population in Barren City, the most popular job here was hunting. Hunters specialized in hunting wild spirit-manipulated beasts, collecting rare objects and materials, as well as catching young beasts. Of course, ordinary people wouldn't be able to hunt these dangerous beasts. Those who were able to were spirit manipulators from the Timber Deity Empire and other countries. They came here to earn money.

Because of the rich spirit-manipulated beast population in Barren City, the Magical Beast House had a unique geographical advantage. Although it was not the only beast farm in the city, it was the only one that had high-end stables. Therefore, spirit manipulators from all over the world, who came to the city often chose to go to the Magical Beast House to buy the high-end spirit-manipulated beasts they needed.

However, what really set apart the Magical Beast House from their competitors was not their high- end stables. It was because they provided unique after sales service that only they offered. The buyers could send their spirit-manipulated beasts to the Magical Beast House for treatment, and the Magical Beast House made sure they would heal these beasts. Of course, the medical fees were not cheap, but it was better than buying another one because they couldn't find a doctor to heal their spirit-manipulated beast.

The Magical Beast House could offer such expensive services because it had a powerful owner. It was backed by the Xiao Clan, a known spirit manipulator family from the Timber Deity Empire. Since the Xiao Clan contained the ancestral Beast Curing Skills, each of their generation's chiefs was famous beast curer. This unique skill was the reason why the Xiao Clan was as famous as other big clans in the Timber Deity Empire, even though they were only considered as a third-class spirit manipulator family.

Just like what Sheridan told Rocky when he was teaching him the Beast Curing Skill, the beast curer profession was the rarest of all jobs related to spirit-manipulated beasts.
