Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 788 Another Memory

After getting back off the ground, Rocky felt an uncontrollable urge to reach out for the dragon shaped jade. As soon as he grasped it, the jade was illuminated in brilliant light. At the same time, he felt a sudden pain in his finger as if he had been pricked by a sharp needle. The resulting drop of blood was absorbed by the jade and soon, its deep crimson color spread all throughout the jade. Suddenly, a vision appeared within Rocky's mind—the Myriad Spirit Tomb, as eerie as the last time he saw it.

A dignified, robed woman who gave off a noble and sacred aura appeared before him.

"It's... she's wearing... the robe of...a Holy Dragon Empire Witch..." Rocky remembered that this was the exact same attire that Lena had donned before.

'Is she a witch from the Holy Dragon Empire?’ he asked himself as he tried to figure out what a witch like her would be doing in the Myriad Spirit Tomb.

Despite the doubt, Rocky continued with the vision. He knew this memory wasn't his, so it had to belong to someone else. But who exactly? He had not yet to figure it out.

The witch knelt down in front of the icy tombstone and began to chant devoutly in a language that, although Rocky could clearly hear, he couldn't understand. After a moment's reflection, it seemed that this witch was chanting the language that Lena had used long ago to chat with the Dragon Master Clan emissary at the Grand Dragon Hall ceremony years ago. It was most likely the language of the spiritual race.

Although Rocky couldn't understand what she had said, he would never forget it.

Once she finished chanting the rite, the witch stood up and gazed at the remains of the spiritual race that were buried all throughout the Myriad Spirit Tomb. In her hands, she carried a square sandalwood box as she made her way towards one side of the tomb. After a few steps, she froze. Beneath the witch's feet laid the remains of a peculiar looking spiritual race member. Tall and tough- looking, his body was covered in dragon scales and a pair of dragon horns adorned his head. His armor, cracked and broken, was made of an unknown material. He looked like a valiant warrior that no one would dare to challenge unless a great loss was what they wanted.

“Could this man belong to the Dragon Master Clan?" Rocky couldn't help but guess.

The witch then placed the wooden box on the icy ground above the warrior's remains. A golden orange glow began to emanate from it as it passed through the ground and ended up landing on the warrior's chest. It appeared as if she was giving him his thing.

After, the witch raised her head and looked straight into the eyes of the owner of the memory.

"It's Moon Fox which has the first drop of blood. It ranks ninth among all the legendary guardian beasts and has already been reincarnated. It'll be a long time before the beast appears again. I'm guessing it'll be a part of the Wood Clan. I also predict that it will descend into the world with a cursed human individual. Hopefully, I can find the first drop of this divine blood in my lifetime. But if that is not part of my destiny, then I shall use the Dragon Master Clan's holy treasure as a guide for someone who will do so. May whoever comes after me succeed.” Upon uttering the last word, she bowed ever so slightly and vanished.

The visions disappeared and Rocky returned to his own thoughts.

"Moon Fox? What a familiar name..." Upon hearing her words, Rocky remained deep in thought. Soon, he remembered something—Alyssa's guardian beast was just called Moon Fox.

But that was a guardian beast. It was nothing like the legendary guardian beast the witch had just mentioned. Though they resided side by side in the same word, they were on totally different levels. What puzzled Rocky even more was how the witch knew the location of the legendary Myriad Spirit Tomb. It appeared as though she wanted someone to discover what had killed the myriad spiritual race.

But why was she so determined to figure it out? Rocky knew, based on her words, that she wanted someone to continue and carry out her will. Also, he could tell that the ancient voice wanted whoever was next in line to catch the first drop of blood from the legendary Moon Fox.

"I'm not interested in figuring out the death of those who were already dead. It's none of my business.” The corner of Rocky's lip curled up. However, he was curious. What was the holy treasure of the Dragon Master Clan that mentioned by the witch?

But since the holy treasure of the Holy Dragon Empire was the Holy Dragon Bead, the holy treasure of the Dragon Master Clan would not be ordinary.

Looking around him, he recreated the footsteps that the witch took in the vision. Due to the tomb's vastness and the numerous corpses that filled it, it took him a while before finding the exact location where the witch had put down the sandalwood box.

There, on the ground before him, laid the box. It was sealed tight and remained on the chest of the Dragon Master Clan warrior. The ice was thicker this time, which would make retrieving the box more challenging. Completely shattering the ice would surely offend the spiritual race that were buried there.

"I never expected to become a grave robber one day. There's a first time for everything, I guess.” In order to get the box, he had to try everything he could think of.

As he was about to begin, the dragon shaped jade he clutched began to shine brilliantly once more. The next moment, a light began to glow beneath the ice he stood on. Squinting his eyes to see what happened underneath, he could see the outline of a square growing bigger by the second— the sandalwood box was floating towards him.

Indeed, this was a strange occurrence. Then again, he had already experienced many strange things. This wasn't a big deal to him anymore. After tucking the dragon shaped jade away, he bent over to pick up the sandalwood box and began to open it.

As soon as it opened, a ray of bright spiritual light escaped the box and momentarily blinded Rocky. Once the light died down, he looked into the box to find a triangular piece of iron with an eye- shaped hole in its center. It appeared to be a part of a mask.

"Is this the holy treasure of the Dragon Master Clan?" Rocky picked it up and drew it nearer to his face for a closer inspection. He suspected that it used to hold tremendous power that no human had ever managed to possess. Now, however, it was nothing more than a piece of powerless debris.
