REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON -
Chapter 49: Looming Threats
KYLE'S
POV
"I mean you are my child," Ryker said as he stepped closer to me.
"No, I am not." I smiled at him and I walked away.
What does he mean that he wants to summon demons with a blood ritual? Demons are the least species you want to make a bargain with. They can never be true allies to anyone but themselves. They are very two faced and cunning. Why will you want to be allies with them, I thought to myself trying to understand Ryker's thought process and then it clicked.
They are the only species that doesn't want Lyra. They don't care because they are pretty strong and either way they thrive. Both in the underworld and in our world.
"But doesn't having something with the demons but you at high risk. You will be feared and hated by all species, but you will get the job done. Demons cannot be controlled so isn't that handful," I reasoned out loud.
I walked outside to see demons were already migrating into our territory as it was part of the bargain, they get a place to stay and they will get the girl.
Thinking about Lyra, I miss her and I realized she means more to me than I will care to admit although here is still a lot of things I will like to discuss with her. I hope I get to see her soon.
"You mean Elijah is part of this secret circle?" Aria asked with wide eyes.
"Uh, yes. I don't know who Elijah is but the queen mother sisters told me that he is plotting with people to kill Lyra and the worse part of it all is that, he doesn't know they are plotting to kill him too after he is done with the job. It is really fucked up," Merida said as she drank some more tea.
"Well, that's a pit he dug for himself, I will keep him in check there is nothing he can do to Lyra," Aria said.
"The poaters king have been found and he is stronger. Some said he drank Lyra's blood and that is raising the ranks and the amount of people that want her now,"
"Yes, that piece of information no matter how true it is getting in the way and making things a tad bit harder but it alright. It will soon be resolved.
Lyra is almost done with her training if you haven't noticed and she is way better. I think she can take over the world as she is but ...."
"Lacienda says otherwise," Merida concluded for Aria.
"I just hope at the end of the day she understands me and she forgives me and everything is alright," Aria sighed.
"You still haven't told her," Merida said giving Aria a warning look.
"This could easily blow up in your face and you know it," Merida said.
"I know but I cannot bring myself to tell her at least not yet. Thing will not be good if she finds out and it could lead to the war that would end everyone." Aria sighed. "We will figure it out later then, let's just enjoy our quality time," Merida says.
LYRA'S POV
"I'm so tired and my mind is exhausted. I haven't slept well in two days because I am trying to complete the training and I feel like I am going to pass out but I need to keep going because of my people. At this point I don't even know what that means.
I have already had a bad day today, I mean I could not do anything Lacienda taught and it all just blew up in my face as if that wasn't enough, my left eyes as been ticking there is a strange magic around the house. It is trying to break the surface our protective layer to see if I am right here," I let out everything that has happened in the last twenty-four hours.
"What do you mean by you have been sensing a strange magic in the house?" Aria asked.
"The magic is not from us and I can feel the person intent. I don't know if it is what Lacienda has taught me or if it is just my intuition because I feel it has gotten better these last few days but I know the person or magic is here with the intention to find me, just like I know that you are hiding something really big from me," I said pointedly to Aria who looked like she was about to fall out of her seat any moment and pass out.
"Oh oh," Merida said in a singsong voice and took deep breath before focusing on dinner again.
"I.. Lyra.. I want... I erm... It's not," Aria stuttered trying to get the right words out but it didn't matter to me and I really didn't want to know anything until she was ready to tell me which looks like she is not ready.
"It's fine Aria, you don't have to tell me now. You can always tell me when you are comfortable just remember that I love you and I forgive you okay," I said as I pulled her in for a hug and she was tearing up. "It's okay," I consoled.
I walked into my room and I saw something on the bed, it seemed to be a letter. Something or someone brought it here.
I looked to the ground to see a little bit of slime on the floor and when I chased it, it led to the library and I remembered the spirit said I should go into the library, so I didn't. I ran back to my room and I wanted to pick up the letter but then I realized whoever or whatever came in was with magic and it might have been a messenger but once I touch this letter, it alerts whoever sent it.
"Merida! Aria!" I called out to both of them
