Chapter 53: Into The War Zone

"How are you doing that?" Lacienda asked.

"I don't know. I just panicked and I didn't want to get hit and the bubble just came," I said to her.

I put my hand down and the bubble disappeared.

"Well, you have gotten so much better and the bubble electrocuted me when I touched it. You are definitely a pro warrior right now," she smiled at me like a proud mother. "Thank you," I smiled.

"Alright then but you are going to war now. I need you to know what it feels like to actually be in a war zone, I want to see if you can do well on your own," Lacienda said as she took me to the last battle she fought. "Are you ready? She asked me.

"Yes, I am," I nodded.

"Alright let's go now," Lacienda said as she led me to the battle ground.

The battle was full of different species and at the top was the queen mother and the colossal god. They were leading their species to war.

I looked to Lacienda and she nodded at me and the fight began. Many species died in the merciless battle and I kept fighting alongside Lacienda.

A demon rushed towards me with an axe aimed at my head and I reached and applying the kick technique Lacienda taught me kicking him backwards and many others fell with him and I looked to see Lacienda smiling at me.

We continued fighting for hours until sundown and everyone was tired. I was so tired to the point that I could barely breathe but I understood I was here to test my skills for Lacienda it was real. I was reliving one of her core memories not knowing it was her last one.

A poater rushed towards her and she fought diligently. As she was about to crush the poaters head she got attacked my three demons and they hit her continuously while blood flowed out from various points of her body. I rushed forward to help her but I realized there was nothing I could do to help her. I reached out and suddenly, it felt like I was in a different world from Lacienda. I remembered the last thing she said to me which was, "I am proud of you Lyra. You are the best student I have had so far," then she bowed to me and we faced the war.

"No!!" I screamed out my lungs sending a surge of energy that shook the ground and most of the species fell to the ground writhing in pain.

I had disrupted their time line. I had brought myself into it and the energy emitting from me sent the species to the ground as they groaned in pain.

The he looked up at me. He recognized me and my heart it.

The colossal god found me. KYLE'S POV

"I told you already but you don't listen so you will have to learn from your mistakes as you watch the demons take over everything you've built," I said to Ryker who just stared at me looking hurt.

I felt his pain Trago just killed ten rogue wolves because his demon was killed by Lyra. It hurt Ryker to see his people possessed and killed with demon's essence in them to turn them into demons.

"He is creating an abomination. They are werewolves by nature now her is creating were-demons. We haven't seen species like that in over a thousand years and the colossal god had to kill them himself because they were chaos. When he came into my pack and stroke a bargain with me I should have questioned him. Who knew he planned to create a forbidden species while tricking me to believe he was looking for Lyra when he was not.

I have to report to him," Ryker said looking worried.

Now that Ryker worded it like this, I suddenly saw his reasoning and why he was bothered. Not only will he lose his pack members but they will become something that is forbidden. They won't be able to think for themselves again. They are being reduced to the life a of robot.

"We will find something to do about it," I said to Ryker.

I needed to go back to the larger population. I needed to see what he will say. That man is more dangerous that Ryker knows and everyday it seems like there is more to the story I have been told. It looks like Ryker himself doesn't know what is going on and is just as clueless as I am, as I was.

I shake my head and head towards the route leading to the underground tunnel.

"I have told you that for Ryker anything that happens with him is none of my business. The only thing I want from him is a job well done and then I will discard him. I am tired of working with him,"

"Why do you hate him so much? There is a loophole in the story you told me. What is it that you are not saying?" I asked him.

"I really thought I had a fool for a son. Turns out that you are really wise. I am proud," he smiled.

I gave him a look that said he hadn't answered my question and I don't need to hear the unnecessary things he doesn't mean.

"Ryker, I think you have been used by everyone you are working with," I said to the man I once looked up to as my father.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked confused. The fear evident on his face.

"I mean what I said. He told me he doesn't care what the demons do to you or your people," I said to him excluding all the other hurtful things he said about him.

"Why will he just..... Ahh!" Ryker screamed as he fell to the floor soon all the species were on the floor too and then the pain came.

"Ahh!" I screamed, it felt like my limbs were being torn apart and for the first time in a long time I felt her presence.
