Chapter 79: The Wedding Night Revelation

Kyle's canines were elongated again and he moved closer to me. I looked into his eyes and I saw his wolf who looked at me with pity and some type of emotion I couldn't understand. "I am sorry," he whispered then he marked me and I suddenly felt a rush of emotions and a sharp pain that was gone in an instant making me feel breathless.

"Luna, now mark him please," the anchor urged me and I moved forward and marked him.

After I marked him, I felt a pull between us like we were being merged between us.

"Now I pronounce you both as alpha and luna," the anchor said and everyone clapped and cheered but something was not right with Kyle's emotions.

I could not feel joy from him all I could feel was guilt and an emotional battle within. I decided to shut it off, hoping that I will find out later as I forced my self to smile and him and at the crowd. "I can't believe you are finally mated," Aria smiled at me as she hugged me.

"Me too," I laughed.

"But you don't look too excited," Merida noted.

"I am excited although there are a lot of factors affecting my emotions right now," I said looking at Kyle.

"Hmm, I get what you mean," Merida nodded.

"What was that? what was Kiera talking about?" Aria whispered to me.

"I don't know. I need to speak with Kyle after the wedding.

Aria nodded but she looked a little bit disturbed.

I didn't know why but I felt the sudden urge to cry like I just found out I was betrayed.

After our wedding ceremony, Kyle and I retired for the night at our new home.

We bought a house a while back so we could move in on the day of our wedding. My things were packed already.

Once we entered the house, we didn't speak. We just went about doing things we would normally do, like having dinner and showering in silence.

"Kyle," I called out.

"Yes, baby? What is up?" He asked.

"Are you hiding something from me?" I asked and I could feel his fear and how his heart rate suddenly spiked.

"No.." he said then his wolf came to the surface and I could feel a lot of guilt.

"Okay, well yes." He said.

"What are you hiding?" I asked patiently.

He stared at me for a while contemplating whether he should tell me or not and then he shook his head.

"This is really big could you give me a little bit of time to understand it better then I promise that I will tell you everything, regardless of the circumstances," he looked at me. "Okay then, I will wait for you," I said to him and he hugged me.

"I love you," he said looking into my eyes and at that moment all I could feel was pure love as he kissed me.

"I love you too," I said to him as we continued kissing and he carried me to our bed room, where we didn't have a wink of sleep and he marked me again and so did his wolf in our wolf form of course.

It was finally at the crack of dawn that we had some sleep or at least he had some sleep because I was drawn into the world of dreams all over again.

"Lyra," An old woman called out to me as I stood in the middle of the woods.

"Yes nan," I found myself answering.

"You may not know me, but your heart does. I was called back to give you some advice and life lessons that you will need through out your life's journey," she said to me. "Okay, I am listening," I nodded.

"First of all, I will tell you of my life and how similar it is to yours and I will tell you the things I learned and how I wished I could do things differently.

I will then give you my intended message and send you back" she smiled at me showing her already darkened teeth.

"Now like you, my pack was attacked by some alpha that was planning to rule all of the wolves he wanted to be made wolf king. I know it is nothing like your situation but it is similar. This alpha, was so particular about conquering the wolf

race.

He fought with every tribe and clan of wolves and he won. His rule was so terrible that the people revolted. They planned to take their lands back and go back to the way thing was and then I was born. The queen mother sent me.

From the age of five, I trained everyday to be able to defeat this man. I worked toiled trained and along the line during my journey, I fell in love. The man I fell in love with was a blessing and a curse. He was the son of the man I had grown to hate, I woke up everyday thinking of how good it will feel to chop of the head of his father, except I didn't know he was his father.

After the war when I had defeated his father, he asked to marry me and I accepted no knowing anything about his family. Nights before our wedding up until our wedding, I had mysterious dreams that made me want to run away because it looked like the fates had tampered with my destiny and I will have a bad life.

After my marking ceremony, I found out that the man I had married was the son of the man I had killed. I left, I felt betrayed and when I confronted him, he told me he wanted to tell me multiple times but I will not listen but that wasn't the worst path. The worst path was that I left him and the night I left, I cursed his linage with a poor fate. I cursed them that they will always experience the hard side of life," she laughed like she was telling a joke.
