Chapter 98: Intrusive Thought

LYRA'S POV

I woke up to see that he had not left, it was already very late because everywhere was already dark and he had fallen asleep on the couch, I stood up to use the bathroom and I covered him up so he won't feel cold. I didn't want to be the cruel person that woke him while he slept.

I moved back a bit and then I noticed the few strands of hair that had fallen on his face as he tossed around during his sleep and without thinking I moved forward and moved it away from his face.

His hair was so soft and taking a closer look at his face, he had very little freckles on his nose and his lips were looking very red like he just sucked on some cherry and I was tempted to feel it to see if it was soft and I let my intrusive thoughts win as I gently moved my fingers to trace his lips.

His phone suddenly started ringing and I jumped back my entire body going rigid as my burned red in embarrassment and I ran into the bathroom.

When I came out from the bathroom, I saw he was at the balcony, taking a phone call and I hope that he hadn't seen me when I ran into the bathroom as I went back to my bed and I closed my eyes and drifted off into another dreamless sleep.

"Arise and shine Lyra," Amira said as she walked into my room and opened up the curtains allowing sunlight from outside to enter my room from different direction making it too bright for me to continue sleeping.

"Mira get out I still want to sleep," I whined as I covered my head with a blanket.

"No," she responded as she dragged the blanket from my head and body.

I instantly remembered that Axel slept here and I opened my eyes immediately and looked and the couch and I was relieved to see that he has already left.

"We are going for shopping today Lyra. If we want to get there and leave before the mall gets filled up, then we have to go now," Amira said as she pulled my legs from the bed.

"Come on Amira, I want to sleep," I moaned as I tuned my head to face the other side that didn't have so much sunlight.

Amira chose today to show me that she was an incarnate of something dark because she continued to disturb my sleepy self until I got tired and gave in to her.

"Good girl, if you had just listened to me from the beginning we would have finished shopping my now," she patted my head as I walked into the bathroom throwing daggers her way.

"Ha, only if eyes could kill. I would have dropped dead." She laughed as I continued to glare at her while I dressed up.

"You can be very annoying," I said to her.

"Of course, it is one of my key qualities," she shrugged and I had to bury the urge I had to hit her.

Amira lied, we spent the entire day at the mall, we visited every store at least two times while Amira did her shopping. I wouldn't lie, it was kind of fun but still very stressful and now I can't decide if I love or hate Amira or if I am ever going to follow her shopping again.

"I heard you had quite an eventful day," Axel spoke to me at the dining table.

"Eventful is an understatement, it was so glorious I will love to do it again," I looked at Amira in feigned anger, while sarcasm dripping off my words.

Axel laughed shaking his head, while Amira chose to ignore me.

"Axel she is just over exaggerating. I am sure I gave her the best shopping experience and she even got a lot of beautiful things," Amira said.

"Have you ever gone shopping with her?" I asked Axel who nodded and I laughed.

"Did you like it very much?" I asked again, this time facing Amira.

"Umm, I cannot say. I think we should talk about something else," he shifted in his sit while Amira glared at me like she wanted to bite his handsome head off.

"So, what did you do today?" I said to Axel changing the topic before Amira pounced on us which I think she will do anytime from now with the way she is glaring at us.

"Basically just work. It is nothing interesting and I promise you, you wouldn't want to know about it," he waved it off.

"I really want to know," I said softly.

"Well, I don't. I will be saying my good night now," Amira smiled as she stood up and left the table leaving just the both of us.

"Okay, I was planning a charity ball for a small pack under my pack because they need all the funds they can get and I cannot just give them the packs money because it will bite my ass later. I was thinking that although my pack is number one

in Russia, there are still other wealthy packs around whom I can invite to help me out with this pack. There are in serious financial danger because their former alpha loved to live lavishly at the expense of his pack. He didn't care about them at all and now that he has been forced to step down, their funds are so low that, if I don't find a way to help them, they won't be a pack for much longer," he explained to me.

"Oh my, that is really sad. Is there any way I could be of help?" I asked.

"Yes, you could help me find something that can be used for the auction that will be held at the charity ball,"

"I can do that. I can make portrait for the auction," I said excitedly.
