Did I believe she had to die ? Absaloutley. Did I think that was how it would go down ? Absaloutley not. I honestly thought it would be me taking another one of her parents’ lives. I had seen Violet’s conviction that day , that the only way for her to be free was for them to die. That was all that I had running through my head when I took her father’s life. It wasn’t until I looked at the b***d on my hands and heard her mother’s scream that I thought. Maybe , just maybe now she had seen them face to face, her conviction wouldn’t quite be the same.

We all seemed to stop for a minute , frozen as we watched her mother’s chest stop rising and falling. It seemed almost anticlimactic. I think that was what shocked me the most. Shifting back , I looked at Violet who was just standing staring at her mum. The coven members had slowly started creeping around to see what was happening and the shock on their faces at seeing her dead was evident too.

” Violet, are you OK ? ” I asked her as I slowly approached her. She could hate me now, now that I had taken her father. Her eyes glanced at me and an easy smile tugged at her lips. ” I am free ” she said and let out a breath. She looked back at her mum and let out a breathy laugh ” I’m free Devon ” she said , tears springing to her eyes. She rushed to me and threw her arms around my neck , hugging me tightly. The others who had been on the other side of the barrier came rushing around the corner. I am guessing they had been using the talesman to get themselves in. They looked ready to battle but when they saw the scene they all stopped.

” Baby ? “I said , worry in my voice. She pulled back and looked at me. I was worried that for now she was happy , but at somepoint this would all crash down on her. ” Don’t Devon , I am OK, this is what I had prayed for , for years. I am free , I don’t have to look over my shoulder anymore. These people had no sentimental feelings for me. Trust me, I am OK ” she laughed and then smashed her lips into mine. We made out in front of the crowd and not too far away from her mum’s cooling body. And I still had to pull away and stop her , because my member was starting to get giddy. And even though she seemed OK, I wasn’t about to rush her off to f**k her after what had just happened.

“Violet “a male’s voice said hesitantly. I looked to see the guy that had stepped forward earlier. Violet looked and slowly let me go , but she looked back at me and grinned. She waved her hand and shots appeared on my naked form. ” Gabrial ” she said in greeting to the man, and he smiled at her. ” I am glad you recognize me ” he said hesitantly. ” Of course , not so much with those black eyes and the fact, your older, but yes. I recognize you ” she told him.

He nodded , and then he closed his eyes, taking deep breaths. He looked pained for a while. We all watched, wondering what he was doing. It took a while , maybe five minutes. I went to ask what was going on but Violet had stopped me, shaking her head and whispered be patient. When he finally opened his eyes, I was shocked to see the black gone , and in place normal blue eyes looking back at us. They kept flickering between black and normal , like a war. But eventually the blue stayed. He laughed , it sounded full of relief.

He looked back at his coven members and showed them all his eyes , and murmurs started happening. ” We no longer have to abide by our former leaders’ rules. We no longer have to live with the darkness continuously in charge “, he announced. He span around and looked back at us all , the victory slowly fading from his face , and taking on a more serious look. ” Violet , what will happen to us all now ? ” he asked her. She looked at me and then back at Enzo. He had shifted back and now sported some shorts, the same as me.

She was looking for guidance here , and she looked at Enzo for it. Showing him respect as she would, that he was her alpha. He nodded at her and stepped forward , holding Anthea’s hand. ” Do you all have the same beliefs as they did ? Or were you just lambs to the slaughter and had no choice but to follow their lead ? ” he asked Gabrial.

Gabrial did the respectable thing too and bowed his head at Enzo , sensing his title. ” Sir , Violet can voice for us that this coven had no choice for years but to follow them. As well as Penance. We chose to start following Wallace secretively behind their backs years ago. Because he promised us we would not be made into things that she always spoke of. He said when the time was right, him and Violet would run our coven. We obviously see Violet is mated now and we have no ill feelings towards mates. In fact, in the secrecy of our own minds, I have no doubt a lot of us crave that too. Some believed Violet was already dead and her mother was just living in hope , but Wallace said he knew she was not dead either. Deep down, that was why he stayed when his parents cut all ties to us. To answer your question, we see this as the day you all came and saved us all. All Violet has to do is open up her connection to the coven and she will feel the relief I can feel coming from everyone except seven. “

” Seven ? “Enzo questioned him , and he nodded sadly. ” Yes Sir , seven feel ill will towards you all. If it saves the rest of us and lets us lead a safe, free life. I am happy to tell you about those seven , so I can save the rest of us. As it seems they are appointing me as coven leader ” he stated matter of faclty.

It turns out he didn’t need to name , names or point fingers. The threat of them being outed so enraged them that they flew out of the crowd. Three tried to run, four ran at him. Ryken , Samuel and Peter, who were closest to them, went running after those trying to escape. I belted forward after those going to attack Gabrial. Enzo was beside me. But we hadn’t needed to have bothered the people in the coven who were not against us. Quickly jumped into action too, and as they were closer, they subdued the ones after gabrial quickly. And only two of the ones that ran came back alive with our men. Samuel had a gash on his arm that was bleeding , and they informed them the two had gotten hold of weapons attacking them, so they had put them down.

Once Ryken and Peter threw the other two down with the ones the members of the coven had caught , Gabiel ordered them dead. It shocked me he would jump straight at that. And I watched on as two coven members stepped forward and ended their lives. ” That was quite a show of leadership ” Enzo said, crossing his arms, ” And a show of convincing us “, he added. Gabrial turned to look at him, looking displeased. ” Not a show Sir , and not something I enjoyed. But there has been too much mistrust and poison in this coven for too long. The only way to get rid of it is to end it once and for all. One of those men was my own cousin. But he believed in their foolish cause, so on his own head be it “, he admitted.

Enzo nodded and looked at me. He mind linked with me. ” I believe him “, he says through the link, and I agreed. ” We leave them alive and make them aware we will check up on them , make sure they are staying true to their word “. I linked back to him. He nods ” Maybe they can help with the fact we can not get back into our own pack “. I gave a nod in agreement.

” Violet, do you believe them to be a non-threat ? “Enzo asked her, unable to ask her privately like he did me. She looked at him , then looked back at all of the coven members. ” Gabrial is right , i have opened my connection to the coven and I do not feel any hatred towards us now they are dead. If it is alright with you Gabrial , can I keep that connection open ? I forgot how nice it can feel to feel your coven ” she smiled at him. ” Me too “, Penny said, walking over and standing at Violets side , Ryken on her tail.

Gabrial smiled, ” In all rights Violet, this is your coven now. You could come back and be our leader. You will be welcomed ” he smiled at her, but she was shaking her head no already. ” I do not wish that, but in time maybe , and maybe I suggest you move camps. Have a fresh start elsewhere. I could come and visit from time to time ” she smiled at him and he laughed. ” It would be an honor for us all , please keep your connection open and, if needed, draw from us anytime you like “. He bowed his head to her.

” That is settled then , we shall drop the spell. We will check up on you all to make sure you are not causing harm or becoming a threat to us. We have a question to ask before we leave. Is there any help you can give us regarding Wallace’s coven? Where are they at ? How do we drop the spell they have cast on our coven ? ” Enzo asked him.

Gabrial grimaced. ” I am afraid not , His parents cut ties with us a long time ago. They move around a lot. Last, I knew they were near Arizona somewhere. But that was a while ago and they could have moved. Also , they found a magical ground that had such a strong connection, they didn’t want to share or let any of us near. Especially her ” he pointed at Violet’s mother’s corpse. ” In all truthfulness , they are much stronger than us. A lot of us pleaded for us to join their coven, but anyone who had anything to do with her , they did not trust. I will say , even though they were not as deluded as they were, they are just as evil if not more. Just in a different way , I urge you all to please be careful “. After that , the girls dropped the spell and we found ourselves with nowhere to go. But Enzo wanted to test something. We decided to try Shira’s mates’ pride , to see if they had been affected by the dark witches’ spell.
