Stepping forward , I stopped Enzo charging at the guy. The minute he spoke of taking Anthea. Enzo flipped a switch. ” Enzo stop it , can’t you see this is what he is trying to do? He is trying to get us to attack them. To prove his point , this isn’t us man, f**k this isn’t us. Don’t prove him right ” I huffed as I tried to hold him back. His eyes were yellow and his wolf was running the show right now.

” ENOUGH “, a huge aura ran through me , causing me to whimper and kneel. Enzo did the same. Looking up, I saw Anthea standing with her hands out in the middle between us and them , stopping us. She was propelling an alpha aura like I had never felt before in my life. My wolf was whimpering in the deep corners of my mind. The council members, including Marcus, were kneeling , those that had wolves in them anyway. Harold was kneeling along with the hybrid one. Only Katherine remained standing and she was looking around in amusement.

” Stop it everyone ” Anthea huffed. ” What is with this argument over power ? First bloody Yianna , then the dark witches and now even a council member. I am frigging tired of these wars for power. Just stop. Listen , we didn’t ask for all of this , we got given it. No matter what Marcus thinks , we do not wish to over throw you. Yes, we have a lot of amazing abilities among the pack now. But we do not wish to use them against anything but doing good. What good would it be for us to overthrow the council if you had the same wish we have ? Peace ” she said, slowly pulling back the aura she had detained most of us in.

Everyone started to slowly stand , everyone had amazed looks on their faces besides Marcus, who looked pissed. ” Don’t try to fool mmhmm Hmmm “he was snapping and then started mumbling when his mouth wouldn’t open back up. ” I wish I had done that a long time ago ” Katherine sighed ” Please proceed true alpha ” she waved her hand at Anthea to continue. It looked like she had magically shut his mouth.

Anthea looked at her confused but then nodded and smiled gratefully. ” Thankyou ” she said to her. Her hand went to her stomach , in a subconscious movement. ” Look , I don’t know what goes off at the council. Or why has the perception of you all changed? But I can only speak for us , we just want to live. Grow families , we don’t want to be weapons. But we will assist in helping fight battles. A long side of the council , not for the council. We will do that because we want a kinder, happier world for our children to grow up in. We know the battle against bad will never be over , get rid of one another arrises. It has been a battle since the dawn of time. We do not want a battle with you guys. But we will go against you if whatever has been going off continues to. Because you have to admit his way of thinking is not the right way “, she told the council members, pointing at Marcus.

” You are more than right ” Katherine said . Which caused Harold and the hybrid to look at her. She rolled her eyes at them. ” Harold , Geoffery, you have to admit we have taken a major step back and been blind to a lot of things. Letting the younger ones take control”, she waved her hands at Marcus. ” He is my son Katherine “, Harold snapped. She nodded, ” Yes your son, you had hardly anything to do with Harold because our lives revolved around the council. A son that has always been spoiled to the core and had a less than appertising attitude and character. Face it, Harold, he got let onto the council because he wouldn’t stop nagging you about it. Even you had your reservations about it to begin with , but he had this miraculous character change for a few months. Looks like he just hid who he actually was. ” She finished.

Harold looked at his son , a frown on his face. Then he sighed ” We have been out of the loop for a long time , we found it too easy to step back and ignore what was happening. I must regrettably admit I have been hearing such rumors , we had just been at this for such a long time, it was nice for the break ” he sighed.

” Looks like we stayed still for too long, my friends ” Geoffery admitted and smiled sadly at Katherine and Harold. Harold nodded and looked towards his son. Then back towards us ” I can only apologise for all of this , we do not wish to remove anyone from here. We were happy to hear this pack was becoming more open-minded. Your true alpha is right , it is a battle as long as time. And it always relates to power in one way or another. I had so much guilt about not being around bringing up my son. I ignored the fact he is not always rational. His mother was a manipulative woman too. He was born not in mating. He was born before I found my true mate. His mother tried to kill my true mate and died in the fight. I guess I ignored him because he was a reminder . My other children never cared much for him either ” He looked back towards Marcus .

Marcus was raging , his eyes flashing yellow.He roared in a mumbled kind of way, then he went to charge at his own father , but Katherine stopped him. Freezing him in his tracks. Harold hummed, looking at his son. ” Send him into one of the cells if you would please “, he asked Katherine. ” Tonio , Darryl and Kalk please would you return home and gather those in his circle together , place them in cells too. We have a lot of work to do to see what they have been up to when we get home. Best to grab them all while they are unsuspecting “, Geoffery asked three of the red-caped people behind him.

” With pleasure ” they all said, in one way of saying it or another. Then Katherine shipped them off magically too. ” Now , if you are still offering your hospitality. We would like to speak with you all about just what people think the council is now. Especially you young lady, who was very courageous of you , to speak out like that “, Geoffery looked at Willow. Who looked a little taken back , but she agreed.

I felt myself relaxing again now , looking at Enzo. He was too. He was looking at his mate with so much pride , it was hard not to be proud of Anthea too. ” Well , I am just glad this power struggle didn’t end in a battle. s**t we have had enough of them recently “, I laughed , causing the others around me to laugh too. Violet snuck under my arm. Looking down at her, I grinned. We went on to have an amazing banquet that the previous Luna had prepared along with Anthea.

The council stayed for two days , they met everyone in the pack. They stayed and caught up with the enzo’s dad and got to know Enzo and Anthea. They even offered us to be on the council but we all respectfully declined. But we agreed to help them if we were needed and Anthea and Enzo agreed to visit the council to discuss how Anthea would be helping them too. They wanted us to be close with the council and after getting to know the three of them , we were happy with that. They were actually really nice, it just goes to show one rotten egg could rot a whole dozen.

We still kept our children’s future to ourselves though. All seemed to be well and good for now , but seeing it take action would be another thing. When they finally left and we got into our quadruple bed , we were all drained. It seemed coming down from the high of so much adrenanline we had been running on caused everyone involved to crash.

” Well , that actually resolved itself easily ” I laughed, still not believing it. ” Don’t jinx it man , I still keep waiting for the penny to drop and it to go wrong “, Enzo g*****d. ” I think it will all turn out well now. You know when we go to the council in three weeks you two need to come too, right ? I mean me and Violet can’t be apart ” Anthea said, sounding worried we would decline her offer. ” We knew we would be coming when you both agreed to go , although requesting one room while we are there may seem a little weird “, I told them. ” Yea , it could raise suspicions ” Violet added.

” We will figure it out. Right now I just need some sleep. I’ve told my father we are taking tomorrow off. You guys can go do what you like. Me and Anthea are heading to our cave for the day. I wish it could be for a week again , but I’ve been timing it. The babies seem to be OK for several hours without being close, so that will do “, Enzo said with a yawn. I looked at Violet and wiggled my eyebrows. She blushed red and bit her l*p, making me inwardly g***n.

As soon as morning hit , me and Violet escaped to our cabin. Instead of stripping her and ravishing her as soon as we got in , I ran us a nice bath. I went all out and placed bubbles and salts in it too. ” Violet ” I shouted when the bath was ready. I heard the door open to the bathroom looking behind me. My tongue rolled out of my mouth. She stood there completely naked. ” This is all well and nice, Devon , but after we do the whole romantic thing. You had better strap in, mate. We have several hours before our babies decide they want their mates.
