Rejected, Broken And Forgotten -
Chapter 46
Third person’s POV
“The human is dead. Torn to pieces,” Paris mind-links the general and the others at the human base. They take her body to the base and drop it where the humans will find it. The rest of the soldiers with her are tied up and left with her body. It is a warning to the humans at the base that the wolves are done playing with them and that they will not let them go so easily. They either have to leave or die like the human woman. They also want the humans to know they will not hurt them unless forced. That is why they left the soldier alive. They told the soldiers to go as soon as possible or die. The wolves are stronger than the humans, and they can outsmart them. The soldiers are all in shock after witnessing what happened to Florence. They never saw a werewolf in the wild, and what they saw scared the living s**t out of them. They also know that there are more werewolves than they thought. Somehow the werewolves have figured out how to hide from their scanners, and they are worried about that. When the humans get the soldiers and see the body of Florence, they are livid and angry.
“What happened? Where were you when we needed you?” One of the generals with Florence shouts at the troops that came to save them.
“All our vehicles were damaged, and we radioed you,” A soldier says.
“We will have to put better security in place. Those things are worse than we thought. They kept us alive but told us it is our last chance and we should leave and free the wolves we have,” A soldier says. He feels like running back home and leaving the army for good. After what he saw, he is not sure he wants to be here anymore.
“Yes, we will have to put guns and gunmen around the base. They will attack if we do not do as they say. We can not leave the base and set the wolves free, as our superiors will see us as traitors. We need to contact the main base and ask for more help,” The general says. They radio the main base but do not realize it is Jasmine and Samuel talking to them.
“We will send troops soon, but stay at the base and do not go out for now. We will be there as soon as possible with backup,” Samuel says. As they end the radio call, Samuel and Jasmine turn to Walker and Paris, who join them again.
“They will not let the wolves go, and they will not leave. They want more troops,” Samuel says.
“Fine, contact their main base and tell them the base is moving south as the werewolves have moved to the south. There are no more werewolves in this part,” Walker says. He wants the humans as far away from the Kingdom as possible. If they find the base that “moved,” it will be torn to pieces, and all the human soldiers will be dead, far away from the Kingdom, keeping the humans busy looking for werewolves to the south in the mountains where there are no werewolves’ packs. They will need time to go to the states and find out what is happening with the packs. They must include as many werewolves packs in the Kingdom as possible, and it is the only way they will know when werewolves are in danger in other parts of the world.
The link between them must be strengthened so they can mind-link each other from distant places as they will be one Kingdom. Mariam is sure she can do it, but she will have to talk to the shamans and other witches to help her. Her mother has moved to the Kingdom and is safe now. She knows her father will not dare to come near her mother, who is living in the palace with Paris, Walker, Johnathan, and a few others. She keeps Johnathan at a distance but will soon let him mark her. She knows it will cause her first mate much pain, but she does not care. He deserves every ouch of pain that is coming his way.
That night the werewolves are getting ready to attack. They know all about the guns and the gunmen around the base and know where everything is. They also know that the men outside are scared and will shoot at anything that moves. They will have to move fast and take the guns and the men out. Val’s men have replaced all silver bullets with blanks, and the humans do not know it. Val and his men share all the silver bullets with the werewolves, who may need them if they are again at war with other werewolves. Hopefully, that never happens, but one never knows.
They move silently and in the dark as creatures of the night. They surround the base and start to howl. The human soldiers outside are nervous as they hear the howls and call the other soldiers to join them to protect their base. They know the wolves are getting ready to attack, but they can not tell where the howling is coming from, as it sounds like it is coming from inside the base. The scientists are getting nervous as the werewolves in the lab they put up are also starting to howl.
“You are in trouble, humans. The King and Queen of werewolves are coming for us, and they will save us from you and your experiments,” One of the captives says and laughs.
“Bullshit! There is no such thing as a King and Queen of werewolves. We know you are lonely creatures that roam alone,” One scientist says.
“Yet you have families here? Does that make sense?” Another captive asks.
“You breed like animals, and the male leaves the female to look after the pups!” Another scientist says.
“Hahaha, you are not very clever for a scientist, as you do not even know how wolves are in the wild. Wolves stay in packs, and we are like wolves but also like humans. The only single killers are rogues, but you know nothing of us. You do not even ask us about ourselves. We are supposed to protect you against other evil creatures. If you know about them, you will not sleep at night, but hey, you made enemies out of us, and you will regret it tonight when our King and Queen come to get us,” A she-wolf says.
“I do not believe a word you say. A wolf killed humans in these parts, which is why we are here. So explain that!” The scientist says. He does not believe a word the wolves are saying as he watches many werewolf movies.
“It was a rogue. We kill rogues that kill humans, but you do not have to, believe me, believe in your fiction. You will regret it all tonight,” The she-wolf says as she starts howling to let the werewolves outside know where they are kept.
“Shut up!” The scientist shouts as he hits her with a whip. She keeps howling, and the remaining wolves in captivity start howling with her. The scientists can not keep them quiet, so they leave them to howl. Unlike the wolves, they can not hear the wolves outside howling as the room they are in is supposed to be soundproof. They do not know that the wolves can listen far better than they can, and they keep working with the wolf howling around them. It isn’t very pleasant, but they can not do anything about it.
Outside the base, the wolves hear those in captivity and know where they are. Val and his men know the base, but they have never seen the wolves, as only the scientists work with them, so they do not know where the wolves are kept. The wolves start circling the base and see all the weak points. The humans can see dark figures moving and start shooting at them, but the figures don’t seem to get hurt, although they take hits. They are moving closer and closer, and the humans are starting to panic. They do not know what to do as it looks like the silver bullets are not helping.
“Call for backup! Where is the bloody backup main base promised us anyway!” The general shouts. He is in a panic and knows they need help, but no support is coming. The radio controller keeps sending out distress calls, but they are all intercepted by Samuel and Jasmine. The base is made primarily of tents and one building that can be taken down and moved. The next moment two big wolves jump into the camp and start attacking the soldiers. An army of wolves follows them and the soldiers know their days are numbered.
The wolves do not leave anyone alive as they move through the camp. They have warned the humans, and they have to protect their own first before they protect the humans. The humans could have taken out the rogue, but they messed with the pack wolves, which is a big mistake. Even hunters will not kill pack wolves as they know that pack wolves are their allies and will help protect them, but humans have forgotten about the rules of old as technology took over their world, and they thought they were untouchable. They thought they could take on anything with their weapons and science, but they forgot about their friends, and sometimes they need to be reminded about creatures stronger than them that protect them but will kill them when they get out of line. Humans sometimes think they are gods and can get away with everything until days like this when they realize they are weak and not almighty.
Paris and Walker lead the fight. Some soldiers have silver daggers and swords but do not get the time to use them as they panic when they see their comrades fall around them. They know they are in big trouble and losing the fight. Paris and a few she-wolves go to the labs with the hunters. They can hear the wolves howling, and the scientists are surprised when the lab doors are broken open, and big wolves with some humans are standing in front of them. They start screaming and trying to get weapons, but the wolves are too fast and start killing the scientists. The hunters take the wolves’ silver cuffs and open those locked in silver cases. The she-wolf that was in captivity jumps at the scientist who beat her with a whip, and she stands over him and growls.
“You see the big wolf that came to save us? She is the Queen of werewolves, and you pissed off the wrong wolf when you looked for trouble with her. It would be best if you had let us go, and none of this would have happened,” She growls.
“I am sorry. Please do not kill me! I will help you,” The scientist says.
“We do not need your help, human. We have better brains than you have,” Paris says as she nods to the she-wolf to kill him. No one can get out alive tonight. No human can survive this attack as they need to move the camp away from the werewolf Kingdom and the humans away from the werewolves. They must lead the main base astray as they go to the states and other countries to get the werewolves to stand together. They will also have to figure out how to get to the other human bases or get the humans to realize they are not there to kill them but protect them. The fight is over, and all the humans in the base have been killed. It is a sad day for the wolves as they are used to protecting humans and not killing them. There is none left. The wolves start packing the camp to move it south, far away from their Kingdom. They are wearing the boots of human soldiers and load their bodies on the trucks. They wipe out all evidence of the fight while the hunter dressed in the soldiers’ uniforms goes to fetch the camp’s weekly supplies so that the main base doesn’t think anything has happened.
