Chapter 74

Walker’s POV

We are ready, and we look like we are prisoners. In truth, it will not take us a second to break the cuffs and destroy the lab. We also have a device to help the dogmen if there are any in the labs with chips in their brains. It is late at night when we run into area fifty-one. We run to where we can see buildings, and some men in uniform stop us.

“Halt, who goes there,” A voice asks.

“Where do I take the wolves I captured?” Luca asks.

“You brought wolves? Who are you?” The soldier asks.

“I work for Mikhail,” Luca says.

“Come with me,” The soldier says. I know they must know where the wolves that have been captured are.

“Let go of us, bloodsucker!” I growl, and the human laughs as he hits me with his gun. It does not hurt, but I m**n as I pretend the cuffs broke my hands. We walk into a big lab, and I can see rogues and other wolves in the cages. They look tired and hardly look up as we are led into the lab. I can see they have all been injected with wolfsbane as they show no sign of knowing what is happening around them. They must be in a lot of pain. My heart goes out to them, and I am furious, but we must see where they are taking us.

We are led to a cage, but before they can put us in, we break out of handcuffs and start attacking the humans. Luca is fast and grabs their guns before they can shoot us. We tied up the humans and let the wolves out. Mariam is with us and starts removing the wolfsbane from their b***d. We need to act fast. We do not know how often soldiers and other vampires come in here. We put the humans in cages after removing their clothing and putting it on. We put the little devices back on so humans can not track that we are wolves. The humans in the cages do not know what we are doing. We do not talk to them; we give them something that will make them sleep for a long time. We can not let them make an alarm while we are inside, destroying all their computers and data. We do not know what to do with the rogues. We can not trust and leave them behind, and I do not feel like killing them. One of the Rogues starts wrecking the place. He looks angry and hurt.

“What is your name, rogue?” I ask.

“Liam and my wolf is Fury,” The rogue says. I know there is still hope for him, as he has not lost his human side yet.

“Why are you here?” I ask.

“I am looking for my mate. I followed them and saw them taking her in here,” He says.

“Let us help you look for her,” I say.

“It will not help she died. They killed her, as I can no longer feel her,” Liam says.

“Maybe they took her down to the lower levels, and she is still alive,” I say. I do not want him to lose hope. We have seen it before when they want the wolves to turn rogue and take their mate to a place where they can no longer feel them. I hope we find his mate, as I can see he does not want to be a rogue and is fighting to keep his human side. We use the keycard, and one of the scientists sleeps in the cage and goes down to the lower levels. We do not know what to expect there. As we go to the lower levels, we find more wolves, and some rogues find their mates. Liam is one of them, and I can see how happy he is. The rogues here have been separated from their mates as it looks like the humans wanted to make them feel the bond break.

I can see silver in between the floors, which makes wolves not feel their mates. The scientists walking on the lower levels do not look at us as they think we are soldiers checking up on them. We take them out fast and destroy all their work. They did not even see it coming, and we put them asleep in their cases as we released the wolves. The last level is where they keep the dogmen. We deactivate their chips and get them out with the rest of the wolves. We hurry out of the lab as everything is destroyed and run back to where our plane is. Some of the packs stayed behind to take the wolves and dogmen to their packs to look after them. I am glad everyone is busy helping us. We destroyed one lab for the night, and I am sure that was the only one where they worked with the dogmen and wolves. It was huge, and I do not think we will find any others around here. Kristina and Roman came running to us as they scouted the rest of area fifty-one.

“We could not find any more labs here,” Kristina says.

“They never took any of us out of the lab, and they told us they would release us into the parks soon,” Liam says. He looks happy with his mate by his side.

“Fine, we will move to the next area and the bigger cities. I am sure we will find labs everywhere,” Paris says. The wolves are ready to help us find the ones in the field and destroy them. We know Mikhail will be pissed off once he finds out his labs are disappearing and that the dogmen are also missing. We will stay here for a few weeks and clean up Mikhial’s mess. Soon he will have no reason to build walls around the cities in America, as there will be no dogmen to scare the people with.

We work fast, and soon, we have most of the parks and other areas under control. We have been cleaning the parks of dogmen and the human army bases. We are moving into the cities, and soon, some of the vampires in the cities that have lived with humans for decades and are not using them for food want to join us. Miriam and Cadilla first give them daylight tattoos to make sure there are none of Mikhial’s spies among them. The bad ones turn into dust, and the good ones stay alive. It is the good creatures facing one evil vampire and his army. They help us clean out the cities, and soon, there are no more dogmen and army bases left in America, as all the wolfpacks, vampires, and other good creatures work together. We are many, and he only has a few, as most humans and the human army do not work with Mikhail. He only has a few greedy ones working with him, and they are too few to take us on here.

“I think we can go home and wait for Mikhail to return to Europe. He has lost the war here, and he will soon realize it. We worked so fast I think his generals and other vampires do not realize it yet,” I say.

“I wish I could see my father’s face when he realizes his plans for America have failed. Most dogmen are now werewolves, live in packs, and are happy where they are now. I can not believe that my father got to this level and thought he could run the world by turning humans into wolves by using the poor humans alone in this wolf. What was he planning to do with the dogmen after he had used them to scare humans? Kill them?” Luca asks.

“I think you are right, and I also can not wait for them to find out their plans have been ruined. Like you, I wish I could see father’s face when she realized his plans had failed. He has underestimated the wolves once again,” Kristina smiles.

“I plainly hate him and wish him dead, and I will be happy if I never see him again,” Roman says. Cadilla takes his hand and squeezes it lightly. I can see they like each other and that they feel a bond. I look at my Queen and smile as if I love her with all my heart.

“Well, now that everyone here is sorted, we need to return to Europe because I think your father will be pissed off and start looking for the Kingdom to take revenge on us. He will not find us yet, and I hope he finds the rings you left in the Castle, but we can not count on that and will have to be ready for a war. I am ready to fight as we have killed all the bad guys here except your father and his army protecting him,” Paris says.

We get on the plane early the following morning. We need to get ready for a war in Europe. I know Mikhail will be furious when he finds out all his plans in America have been destroyed. I am proud of the wolves, vampires, gypsies, and other creatures working with us. I do not like to be a King, but I am pleased that I can lead an army like this into battle. I will not let my people down, and having vampires, gypsies, and other creatures working with us makes me proud. I am sure the Moon Goddess must be pleased with our actions. Not all vampires are evil, and we need them to beat Mikhail. If we can work together, the world will be saved from one evil vampire and his minions. I think she wants to help some vampires, as we all know that the Sun God was unfair by cursing the whole family and all the ones they turned.

Third person’s POV

Selene smiles as she knows her army to defeat Mikhail and his minions is complete. She will help them where she can and ensure that no other gods intervene in the struggle between good and evil on earth. She looks down on Walker and Paris and knows she made the right choice by choosing them as the King and Queen to lead the war against the biggest evil the world has faced so far. Selene looks at Jeff. She wonders if she must go and talk to him again and tell him the truth about the night she met him the first time. Selene smiles. She knows Jeff thinks it is his greatest sin, but she has to make him believe it as she needs him for the future war. She thinks she will tell him after the war. Elena will be his last mate, and Jeff can come to her and rest like all the other werewolves. She knows he longs for the day he can be with her in this paradise she has created for the werewolves that die. She knows she was wrong and tricked poor Jefferey into thinking he committed the greatest sin of all time, but she will explain to him why she did it and that she had to do it to keep him feeling guilty and loyal to the royals. Without him, Paris and Walker would be lost. He also needs to show them where the white oak stakes are, as they will need them. She knows Mikhail may fall for the rings, but maybe he does not, and then they will need the white oat stakes. She looks at Luca, Kristina, and Roman. She always felt sorry for them and knew they were not like their parents. She was furious at Apollo for cursing them with their evil parents. She will help them to turn into hybrids, and then Apollo will have no more say over their fate. Selene sits down beside the wolves of old. She knows they love her and is glad to be with her. She can not wait to end this war and destroy Mikhail and his minions with her troops. She wants Mikhail to suffer for what he has done in his past as a human and what he is still doing as a vampire.
