Rejected, Broken And Forgotten -
Chapter 77
Luca’s POV
I take Paulus to the King and Queen. We will have to help the wolves. Although I think they are a waste of time, I do not want Mikhail to use them to make more wolves. I can not allow it. I must stop him before he and his minions start their plan here in Europe. We have stopped his plans in America. We can stop it here. I will not let my father win. Not this time! He had terrorized this part of Europe for decades, even before he was a vampire. He was a terrible human. He is even worse now that he is a vampire. My mother is dead, and that is one relief. I know he will miss her as she always helped him with his plans. He does not realize it yet, but my mother was the sleek one with awful plans. She gave him most of the plans he executed and always supported him. Without her, he is weaker than he thinks. She would not let him take too many risks and keep him from getting killed. Now she is gone, turned into dust, and he is on his own. No one would stand by him as she did, and she only did it because she wanted the exciting life he gave her. She hated him as much as we did, but she also loved being as cruel as he was. She did not care about her children and only cared about her lovers and the humans she could feed off. To her, humans were food, and her children were nothing. Luca was not sad that his mother was dead. He has given his grandparents a proper burial. He does not care to do the same for her. She was as evil as his father, and he could not give a f**k about her.
“What do you want from us?” Paris asks Paulus.
“I am here to ask for your help. Mikhail took all the royals and used them to turn humans into wolves. He wanted me to find out where your Kingdom is, and he wants to destroy you. My best bet was to ask you for help and convince him to let me look for your Kingdom. I do not trust him. Even if I tell him where the Kingdom is, he will still use us and kill us. Please, help me save my family. We will become part of your Kingdom and take you as our King and Queen,” Paulus says.
“Well, we wanted to help you, but you rejected us. You even wanted your wolves to take us as your prisoners. Why would we help you?” Walker asks.
“You want Mikhail to turn humans into wolves? You want him to start his plans to take over the world here in Europe. King, Queen, I think we should save them and send them to a safe place, not the Kingdom, as we do not know if we can trust them, but we do not want any wolves in the hands of Mikhail,” I say.
“Of course, you are right! We can not let that happen,” Paris says.
“We will help you, but if you double-cross us, we will kill you,” Walker says.
“I understand we will not betray you,” Paulus says. He looks happy and relieved that the King and Queen agreed to help him.
“My mother is dead. As I thought, my father made her wear the ring first, and just before he wanted to put on the other ring, she turned to dust. The bloody evil a*****e did not fall for it, but he killed his strongest warrior. Without my mother, he is weaker than he thinks,” I say.
“We at least killed one of them with the rings,” Paris says.
“Yeah, we killed one, and in my eyes, she was the stronger one when it came to brains,” Luca says.
“Mom is dead?” Roman asks. I can see he looks relieved. Like all of us, we hated her as much as we hated our father.
“I know how to get into the dungeons where dad will keep the wolves. There are tunnels under the Castle. Tunnels he does not know about. Grandfather once showed me the tunnels. I know where the entrance is. It is near the springs, but we will have to go during the day when my father is sleeping or having fun with the women,” I say.
“Fine, let us go and check out the springs so we can plan how to get them away as fast as possible from the human army. We will have to kill the human guards, but we will have to surprise them,” Walker says.
“Yeah, they have guns with silver bullets, and we can not let them use them against us,” Paris says.
“The dungeon is big. My father spends most of his nights there as he loves to torture and kill,” Kristina says.
“We can only pick a handful of wolves that are well-trained. Luca, Kristina, and Roman will also need your help. You are faster than we are and can take the human guards by surprise. I know they must know by now what the three of you look like and will be on the lookout for you, but with your speed, you can disarm them before they even realize what is happening,” Walker says.
“It will be our pleasure to help, King. I would love to irritate my father, and we need a witch to cover our footsteps in the dust. I do not want my father to know about the secret tunnels under the Castle,” Luca says.
“I will go with Roman,” Cadilla says. She loves Roman with his soft heart, and he can make the most beautiful art she has ever seen.
“I will go as well,” Miriam says. She knows Jonathan will go as well, as he is one of their best fighters.
“We can use our magic if we have to,” Cadilla says. She and Miriam are powerful together, and they have practiced a lot in the last couple of weeks.
We decide we will go the following morning. Mikhail will not expect us to attack so soon as he thinks it will take Paulus a while to find us. He does not know I am working with the wolves. It will be a big surprise for him when he finds out I am working with the wolves. I do not care about him. I want him dead. If it is the last thing on earth that I do, it will be to kill my father. I want him to suffer before he dies, as he did with all the humans and other creatures he killed. The following morning, we are up early. We go to the springs. They are far away from the Castle, and the guards will not be able to see us. If my father had known about the tunnels, he would have put guards at the entrance. I do not think my grandfather trusted my father, and he wanted us to have an escape route if we needed to get away from my evil father. I walk to the entrance. It is overgrown, but we remove a few bushes and run inside. The witches fix the bushes again as we do not want someone coming here and seeing the entrance. They wipe out our footprints and make it look like there was no one there for years. They will do the same when we return. We do not want a surprise attack from the back, so it is best to make it look like nothing has been going on there for years.
We walk down the dark tunnels, but our eyes adjust to the darkness fast because we are supernatural creatures. There are giant spiders and spider webs everywhere, showing that the tunnels have not been used for a long time. I know the door is in a small corridor behind the dungeon, and the gypsy and magical wolf opens the door without it making a sound. The human guards play cards at a table when we peek around the corner.
“Mikhail will not be up until late today. I am glad and tired of him always screaming at us. He has about four women in his room. The little werewolf princess was only good enough for a night. Look at her sitting next to her mother. I do not think she will ever be the same again after being with Mikhail,” One of the guards laugh.
“Well, one of these days, we will be like him, all-powerful, and we will be able to get our women and do with them what we want,” The other guard says. They are evil, and I can feel them in my bones. I count the guards. There are about twenty of them in the room. I run in fast, grabbing their guns before they know what is happening.
“Damn vampires! You like playing games with us. Give us back our guns, or we will tell Mikhail you are up to no good again,” One of the guards shouts. I run and snap his neck. Then the wolves attack while the witches get the wolfsbane out of the wolves locked in cages. They open the locks by magic. They take the hostages and tell them to follow them. All the guards are dead and thrown in cages. We follow the hostages and the witches out of the dungeon. They ensure the door stays hidden and wipe out our footprints in the dust. They make the dust look like it has not been stirred for years. The entry is hidden behind a bookshelf. It seems like there is no door after they have done their magic. I can see it through a little peephole. They take the hostages away so they can get them to safety. The King, Queen, and I hear the vampires come downstairs, as they must have heard the commotion.
“Bloody guards must have fought over the damn card games again,” One says as he walks to the dungeon. He stops in his tracks, and I smile when the King, Queen, and I are watching them from our secret peephole.
“Holy s**t! What happened here? Mikhail is going to be pissed!” One of the vampires says. We turn around and quickly catch up with the rest of the wolves. We will take them to the old castle of Essex. They can stay there with the other royals of the ancient Kingdoms. The magical creatures will hide the Castle from the sight of humans and Mikhail. We put them on a train to England, and some wolves go with them. They have little devices that will make them look human even if the humans scan them. We gave them clothing and did not tell them about the devices. We do not want Mikhail to know our secrets if they get caught again. I wish I could see Mikhail’s face when he walks into the dungeon and realizes his Castle is not as safe as he thought it was. I wonder if he will start looking for entrances into the dungeon. The witches hide our secret tunnel well, and I know he will never find it. If there were one who would have found it, it was my mother. She is dead now, and I think Mikhail will regret killing her soon.
“Now we have an entrance to the castle, but I do not want to fight him inside as we do not know how many soldiers and vampires are there,” Walker says.
“I agree. I know he has soldiers all over Russia now, and we need to go and take them out. We can not let him get a foothold in Europe. In Europe, people have heard about werewolves and vampires for decades and were more open to human soldiers and protective cities. I think our next target is Russia and cleaning off human soldiers, dogmen, and rogues,” I say.
“I agree. Let us start by killing all his operations. I think Europeans are more modern these days and will not believe it, but one never knows how they will think,” Paris says. We get ready to leave for the Russian woodlands, as we know they always start in the woods.
