Rejected, but not Broken
Chapter 85

Gabi’s POV

Tanner takes my bags up to our room, and I get another shiver at the thought of “our” room. He gives me a little tour of the room he wants to make up for the twins to have, right next door to us.

He already told me that he will be having another door put in between our room and theirs and that we would be locking their door to go into the main hallway until they are older. He is already so concerned for their safety, and they haven’t even arrived here yet.

He makes me smile with how much he already loves them, and I have to admit my favorite time is him laying his head on my stomach and speaking to them. He makes my heart melt when he does that.

I saw the little fan group I already had, over to the side of the packhouse and I already know that Dana has tried to poison me with those other girls.

They all looked mad at me, and I don’t even know them. Why would they immediately take a dislike to me, when they haven’t even given me a chance for them to get to know me.

Alicia saw them too and gave them a glare and they broke up their little group and walked away. Aria saw them too and shook her head. I have heard that we are having a town hall meeting tonight, and I have a feeling that this little fan club I have is going to be put on notice about their behavior. Sooner, rather than later.

If I wasn’t pregnant, I could take them on and beat them, and then we could all move on, but I have no idea what Dana has told them about me, but I did know she was the root of the problem. Well, besides the fact that Dana thinks she deserves to be the Luna.

She had a mate, it isn’t Tanner, why she rejected her Goddess-given mate, is completely beyond me. There is no one better for you than the one that was chosen specifically for you. It just goes to show that she just wants the title, and is power-hungry, not in it for love.

Aria and Dawson were so excited for me to finally be here at B***d Rose. They missed Tanner, but they only had a bit of time with me before we had to leave Crimson Shadow. Since I don’t drive, anytime I meet my parents in Quincy either Tanner, Dawson, Aria, Alicia, or Gavin will go with me.

To drive me, and to watch over me as I am pregnant with the heirs of the B***d Rose pack, they want me to be safe and secure. I don’t want anything to happen to the babies either, so I am thankful for the help I am going to receive from them.

Now that I know that Taylor knows I am pregnant, I will be even more aware of my surroundings at all times, and I am going to keep up my training as well.

The doctor told me that I could do what I was already doing, and I plan on keeping in shape, as I won’t know when Taylor will try something, but I know she eventually will, and I need to be ready.

Tanner enjoyed showing off the packhouse and the training grounds to me. They do have a good number of highly trained warriors, who were allowed to stop the training and be introduced to them all. The head trainer, Jason Smith, was a good-looking guy, and he was 21 years old too, just like Tanner.

They had been friends since childhood and Tanner trusted Jason with his life. Jason had dark brown hair and light green eyes and was trained in both Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. When Tanner introduced me and then told him that I was the first female trainer for the Elite trainers from Ever Green, I saw Jason’s eyes light up, and he asked me if I was good to spar with him one day.

I agreed but told him he would have to wait until the New Year, as I was pregnant with our twins right now. Jason immediately hugged Tanner and then me and congratulated us both on the pregnancy.

The female warriors milling around were not happy about the news and were not being subtle about their displeasure with me. Tanner called them over and told them that I needed nothing but support from my pack, as I am the Luna, and that he better never hear anything bad said about me again.

He was definitely starting out on a tough note with them. I got several narrow-eyed looks and I heard mumbles, but they kept them low as Tanner was still watching them. He will get them straightened out tonight at the town hall meeting.

We had a good dinner with his family, and I was catching a lot of attention. Both good and bad, and from the looks of it, all the bad was coming from the unmated females of the pack.

We arrived early at the town hall for me to meet with The Beta, Peter, and his wife Josie, and I got to meet the Gamma, Harrison Miller, and his mate Millie, who was nicknamed M&M because she was sweet and because that is what her initials were for Millie Miller.

I told her that she has a name that could be a challenge to say five times fast, and she laughed. They were really nice and welcomed me into the pack.

They were excited because Tanner would be even stronger with me by his side. They were also excited about me training with them after the pups arrive. I have to admit, I was looking forward to training with them as well.

Gavin was the most excited about the training because he wanted to get an elite set of trainers set up for this pack as well, and I thought it would be a good idea.

I was actually going to speak to Heath about it, as Easton and Angela were trying to have a pup of their own, and he will not want to ship out if it is near the time for her to give birth.

All of the men on the team are looking for their mates now, and it could happen where they cannot go out to train because of their pups coming, them going on vacation, or other things.

I think it would be great for us to have 5 team members here as well, so the original team doesn’t have to go on every mission, and we could either alternate who goes, or when big events they want to go to come up, or that they need to attend, people can get a pass.

We are less than 3 hours away from Heath and Von, and the applicants can go to Ever Green to train on separate occasions, or they could come here too, to see if they have mates here while they are training. I think Heath will think it is a great idea.

I mindlinked Heath about it on my way out to the event center and he thought that it was actually a good idea, especially with the guys all wanting their own mates now.

Due to me being pregnant they will drop me from the testing for right now, so I won’t have to be” killed” during the testing. Heath said he wouldn’t risk his grand-pups for anything, plus, von would kill him. We both kind of laughed, but I think he might be right to assume it.

He agreed with having the trainees come out to his pack for two weeks, and two weeks back here. Heath said that he would send 2 trainers at a time, so he still has trainers there at the pack, just in case. They will alternate for the two months so the trainee gets trained in all forms of martial arts so they could pick their favorite.

Heath said that the new testers would do what Tanner did and beat five of the team members to win and get a position on the elite training team. With me pregnant, they will have to fight Tanner, instead of me.

People are starting to pour into the area now, for the town hall meeting and I see Dana sitting with the same group of girls as I saw earlier, and if possible, they seem even madder. I realize now that it is because they have all heard that I was pregnant. They need to get over it, I will officially be their Luna on Saturday.

Tanner is my mate, and we are fully marked, mated, and with pups at this time. Tanner approached the podium to speak to his pack, they were obviously glad to see him back, and he had been missed.

He told them about passing the test and getting on the Ever Green Elite Training team and they cheered him on, and then he told them why he had gone out for the team.

Most of the people present were so happy that he had found his mate and were very enthusiastic about celebrating their new Luna. Tanner reached out his hand to call me up on stage with him. I stood up and joined him on the stage.

Tanner gave them all the good news about the Luna celebration on Saturday, and that he did not want anyone giving me a hard time as I was carrying the heirs to the B***d Rose pack. The excitement was palpable in the room and the room erupted in cheers, well, except for my fan club.

They were not pleased at all to be hearing this. I could tell by their faces how upset they were, but none of them said anything.

When it quieted down, Tanner told them that Gavin and I would be heading up the training for our own Elite training team.

That we would get the elite trainers from Ever Green to come here to train, and that the people trying out for the team would need to know that they would have to go to Ever Green as well in training for their testing.

Several were excited about getting to be a part of that team, I could see Dana looking like she wanted to say something, and me looking at her, got Tanner’s focus on her and I could see the wheels turning in his head.

He was going to let her say whatever she wanted to, but she kept her lips pressed together and just kept glaring a hole through me.
