Chapter 13

Brella P.O.V

I stood in front the mirror trying to adjust my dress for the umpteen times, but no matter what I do I still look huge and fat. Sighing I give up and flopped down on my bed, aimlessly running a hand through my perfectly curly hair. I don’t know why I’m nervous and wanted to look perfect, it’s not like I’m going to married him right.

Sighing I wonder what would happen to me on my wedding day. That’s if I do marry him or someone else. Sighing again I checked my watch it says 7:30 half an hour more and Kiefer will be here for our date. How I agree to go on a date with him is out of my will power, I’ve been tricked. But I can’t seem to be mad at him in fact I’m excited and nervous. Definitely didn’t expect that reaction out of me.

Getting up I try to fix my dress one more time. It was a simple back out dress that fell flawlessly but with my huge stomach in the way made it look so not flawless, or give me that striking look I was aiming for. Once I’m kind of satisfy with how it looks now I flopped down back on my bed.

I wonder where he’s going to take me. Maybe some place fancy I bet. Guys love to take girls to a fancy place on their first date then again it’s basically the movies first. Yeah that it he’ll probably take me to the movies or a fancy restaurant. Someone hit my hand and I look up glaring at Lily as she stood in front of me scowling. “What was that for?”

“You were twirling your hair. Do you have any idea how long I’ve spent fixing your hair?” She pointed her finger accusingly at me.

I rolled my eyes at her. I’ve ask Lily to come over and help me with my hair and of course she jumped at it. But what I thought would be a simple doing my hair turns out to be a nightmare. I had to wash cause apparently my hair stink, then it had to grease and then she sit me down for a long hour of curling my hair to perfection. “How could I not forget, you burn me several times.” I say glaring at her.

“That’s cause you kept moving your head” she exclaim her hands planted on her h**s. She looks around to Kristy who just stepped in. “Kristy tell Brella not to touch her hair or else.”

Kristy looks at us a smile on her face. “Brella I think you better not touch your hair again.” She said taking a seat.

I watched at her bewilder. “How come you’re listening to her all of a sudden?” I ask. I’ve introduce Kristy to Lily and they immediately dislike each other. I think it’s because they’re competing for my favor which they won’t get because I love both of them the same.

Kristy shrugged. “I agree with her. And you did say we should try and get along and that’s what I’m doing.” She paused and smiled smugly at me. “Unless you want us to keep on fighting,”

I folded my arms not please with their bonding as they use it against me. “I can’t believe I let you did my hair, my poor head hurts.”

“Hence I made you look beautiful and sweet for your date. Oh its good Kiefer’s taking you out.” Lily chipper.

“Oh so I wasn’t beautiful before you did my hair, right?” I ask cocking my head at her and ignoring the last part of her sentence.

“Ah you know what I mean. Now go put on your shoes, go down stairs and wait.” She said.

I shake my head at her. “And I thought I missed you.” I smirked and slipped my feet into my slippers. “You’re too bossy.”

She grin her cheeky grin. “That’s why you love me.”

I was about to say something but go against it as I heard the door bell rung. I’ll deal with her and Kristy later. That I promise myself as I stepped down the stairs, taking each step carefully don’t want to fall.

Kiefer scent hit me tenfold as I neared the bottom of the stairs. He smells so inviting. As I enter the living room, I notice my dad, brother, Jace, Ryan and even Dr. Reid crowed around him. They were flying questions and warning at him, I could tell by the look on his face that he was very uncomfortable.

“Hello,” I cleared my throat, causing all of them to turn and look at me. Finally acknowledging my presents, they all move away from Kiefer. He shot me a relieve look, I just smile at him. He looks really handsome tonight in his navy blue shirt and black dress pans. His hair slick backwards giving him this mysterious look, he looks so freaking hot.

“You look beautiful sweetie.” My dad voice breaks through. He pulls me into a hug. “Are you sure you want to do this?”

“Don’t worry dad I’m going to be fine. If anything happen I’ll call you.” I assure him. I pulled away and k**s him on the cheeks.

“If anything happen to you, I won’t hesitate to kill him.” He said his eyes serious.

“I know dad don’t worry.” I said once again. “And you guys too.” I said turning to the guys and my brother. I turned my attention to Kiefer who still look uncomfortable. “Ready?”

“Huh… Yes let’s go.” He answers quickly. He turned and walks out and I follow him towards his truck. All the while feeling stares in my back.

“You bring her home back early now Kiefer. I’ll be waiting up.” My mother shouted from the window. I did a mental face plant. So embarrassing, where on earth did she appear from?

Kiefer open the door to his car for me and I quickly got in hoping she wouldn’t shout something more embarrassing again. I buckle up as he got in the driver side and started the car. As he drives I couldn’t take the silence between us so I decide to break it with a question. “So where are we going?”

“You’ll see,” he answered smiling.

I pouted at his answer. I deserve to know where he’s taking me especially since I agree to go on a date with him. “It’s a surprise I can’t tell you Brella.” He explains as he glances at my face.

I decide to drop it and ask another question. “What were my father and the guys telling you before I came? I notice you were nervous back there.”

He swallows, keeping his eyes on the road. He answers, “Just some guy stuff and a couple of advice.”

“Like what?” I pushed. I know I have a good idea of what they were telling him but I just love to see him squirm a little. It amuses me. “Wellll” I pushed some more.

“We’re here,” he suddenly announced the car stopping. I look out the window expecting a fancy restaurant or we’re park in front the theater but instead I notice we’re at the park.

“Seriously the park, we’re at the park. Is this your surprise?”

He got out and came around to my side before I could even take off my seat belt. Opening the door he offers me his hand. “You’ll see soon enough.”

I took his hand getting out. ignoring the tangle feeling and pouted at him. “You know any smart guy who wanted a date he trick his mate into work, would tell her everything right now.” I stated taking my hand out of his.

He grinned. “Then I guess I’m not smart.” He said. Oh if I could punch that grin off his face. I sighed I really need to stop thinking about so much violence. “Hold for a second.” He said coming behind. I felt something going behind my eyes and I quickly jerked away from him.

“What the hell, are you trying to kidnap me?” I exclaim my voice rising.

“Shsss, it’s a part of your surprise please put it on.” He explains.

“Find,” I snatched the blindfold from him and put it on myself not wanting to mess up my makeup which Kristy did. “Ok so now my eyes are cover how am I going to know where to walk.” I asked as soon as I finish putting on the blindfold.

He laughed at my attitude. “There’s no need to worry about that because you won’t be walking.” Confusion struck me at his words. As I’m about to ask him what he meant I felt his arms wrap around me and myself being lift off the ground. He picks me up bridal style. Not even caring about the extra weight I’m caring.

“Wait… What put me down I can walk on my own you know.” I protested. I try to wiggle out but he kept his hold on me. It’s as if I weight nothing to him.

“Will you cut it out, I’m not going to put you down so just relax.” He says. I stopped protesting and remain silence as he carries me in his arms. What a date this is turning out to be. As he walks I couldn’t help but think how this felt so right being in his arms like this and the fact that he smells so damn good.

After a while of walking he stopped and gently put me down back on my feet. I swayed a little getting back my bearings as I held on to him. Once I know I no longer need to hold on to him I lose off. “Now can I take off this blindfold?”

“Just a sec,” he said I felt he came behind me. He turns my body around in some angle and I heard him withdrawing from behind me. “Now you can open your eyes.”

Pulling off the blindfold I blinked first to adjust my eyes. I then stare off to the sight in front of me and gasp at it. “Wow,” Is all I could breathe out.

Small twinkling lights shine in the trees in front of me like stars, making the pond by it to shimmer beautifully. But that wasn’t the only reason for my gasp, there’s a small hunt an umbrella shape like. That’s close by the pond. It was cover in Lilies and red roses flower, my favorite around each pole holding up the hunt. Small twinkle lights shine from it also. On the path towards the hunt, there’s a trail of petals leading to a table for two in the center of hunt.

“Did you do all of this?” I ask finally finding my voice and looking at him.

“Well,” He trailed running his hand through his hair. “I had some people to help me, after getting tangle up a few times.”

I nod my head at him understanding and mentally chuckling at the Image of him being tangle up in a couple or weirs. Taking my gaze off of him, I stare at the beautiful sight in front of me once again. “It’s beautiful.” I commented.

“Aren’t you glad I didn’t tell you the surprise after all?” He asks whispering in my ears. My skin prickle as his hot breath fanned my ears. And my wolf wanted out so she could let her mate claims her, ignoring her demands I turn around and punch him on his arm, ‘Owe, what was that for?’

“That’s for still not telling me anything.” I smirk at him.

Shaking his head and smiling slightly he took my hand and we went and sit at the table. There were empty dishes spread out in front of us. “Where’s the food.” I ask feeling hungry. I was so nervous that I didn’t eat much earlier today.

‘Right here,’ He said bending down. He raise up back with a big basket in his hands.

“Oh,” Is all I said as he started to take out various kinds of dishes.

“Ok we have spaghetti, salad and fried chicken for dinner. Strawberries chocolate cake for desert and orange juice for drink, oh and also water if you’re thirsty.” He takes out a wine bottle that label juice on it and a water bottle.

That was it for me, I start cracking up.

“What?” He asks, his eye brow raising.

“Nothing,” I answer covering my mouth to stop my giggles.

“Come on tell me, what’s so funny?” He begged.

“Well, it’s just that this is not how I imagine our first date to be. And it’s pretty funny because you brought juice in a wine bottle. I mean who does that when they’re taking a girl on a date?” I explain.

“Ok so how’d you imagine your first date to be?”

“Huh…” I blushed looking away. “I don’t know, really actually probably a dinner and the movie get up kind of thing.”

“I’ll have to do that next time.” He said smiling.

He serves us our food. It tasted so good that I ask for seconds. After that he sliced a piece of cake for me. “So you’ve never been on a date before?” He asks watching me.

“Well,” I said licking the chocolate off my figure. “My first date was really a bet I made with some girl. Before I finish school, there was this new guy that got transfer to my school, he was cute and all but me and my friends heard he’s gay. We made a bet that I can’t get him to go out with me. So I ask him out and we went on a date.” I finish.

“How did you get him to take you out?”

“Why threaten him off course.” I answer simply.

Kiefer almost choke on his wine bottle juice. I snicker at his face I guess he didn’t see that coming. “You threaten someone, I can hardly imagine that.”

Crossing my arms I ask. “Why is that?”

“I figure you to be one of those quiet, sweet and kind girls.” He answers. I smile at how he describes me, because I know I’m exactly like that.

“You’re right I am those things but even though I’m all that. There’s a time you just have to let the wicked part of you out.” I grinned. “Ok now enough about me what about you?”

“I’ve already told you everything about me. What more do you want to know about?” He smiled. I secretly sighed, he look so drop dead sexy when he smiles. I couldn’t help but think that I’m actually enjoying myself I thought everything will be tense between us or something. Then again all that I thought so far for tonight was proven wrong. After a while I find myself relaxing more and more. We continue talking about various things, like his childhood days and mine. His likes and dislikes also mine. I ask him how he knows my favorite flowers are roses and lily. His answer was that he asks Lily about a couple of things about me. I’ll have to talk her about giving away things about me.

“Want to dance?” He suddenly asks.

I blinked at him and look around me. “There’s no music, what will we be dancing to?”

Kiefer smile and bend down at the side of the table, “This…” He said rising up with a music box in his hand. He places it on the table and presses what I presume is the play button. Immediately the song “Breathless” came on. He came beside me offering his hand. I took it without any fuss.

“You really think of everything” I said as he pulled me up to my feet and in his arms. He chuckle, pulling me close as we swirl to the music. Well as close as he can get. I didn’t care because this felt like home being in his arms. We danced as the song continues playing.

and if we had babies they would look like you. It’d be so beautiful if that came true. You don’t even know how very special you are.

And if our love was a story book. We would meet on the very first page. The last chapter would be about, How I’m thankful for the life we’ve made

And if we had babies they would have your eyes. I would fall deeper watching you give life. You don’t even know how very special you are
