Chapter 21

Brella POV

I stared at my reflection in my full-length mirror, constantly turning from one angle to another. I bit my lower l*p nervously. Is it possible I’ve grown twice, no triple the size? “This is crazy.” I threw my hands up. “Almost all of my clothes no long fit anymore.” I g*****d.

“What don’t fi anymore?” Kiefer asks snaking his arms around me. His sent always overwhelm me.

“My clothes,” I turn pouting at him as I held up my favorite dress. “This is the fifth clothes, I tried on and none fit anymore. I’ve turn into a whale.”

Kiefer chuckle, “You’re not a whale and I think you look as beautiful as ever.” He said kissing my cheek.

“You always know the right thing to say.” I said. Tiptoeing I place a soft k**s on his cheek.

“As your mate it’s my job.” He smirks

I punch on the arm. “So, it’s a job now?” I pretend to be angry. Kiefer look surprise. Laughing I playfully push him. I wish I had my camera so I can take a picture of his face. “I hope you haven’t forgotten tonight date.” I eyed him.

Kiefer raise his eyebrow giving me a questioning look as he folds his arms pretending to think. I punch his arm again and he grinned. “Of course, I remember. I haven’t forgotten our date.”

A slow smile crept onto my face. It’s been a month since I came to Kiefer pack and everything been going great. Kiefer and I have gotten closer especially after I let him mark me. Our bond became stronger. I can sense his emotion now more than ever. I’ve also gotten close with the pack members and got to know and befriend quite a lot of them. Because of my pregnancy they hardly let me do much, I do help give advice to solve conflicts that needs to be resolve and there’s Kiefer parents and Christina to help me if needed. Since I can’t do much, instead in my spare time I tried to do a little study on the pack so that I can be well prepare to help my mate run the pack when I can fully assume my position.

Although all is great, Kiefer and I haven’t gotten to spend much time with each other. It’s gotten harder every day and that’s because there’s been a lot of sudden movement with rouges constantly attacking neighboring packs. I heard their attacks are vicious. Almost every day Kiefer attends meetings that include other Alphas to help come up with the best strategy to get rid of the rouges. I really hope they do.

“What about the meeting, won’t it go late tonight also?” I ask concern. Usually when Kiefer returns from a meeting, it’s already be quite late and I’m already in dreamland.

“Relax your pretty little head.” He said kissing my forehead. “Tonight we’re finishing up early, some of the Alphas need to return home to their mates. Everything will be fine.”

I breathe a sigh of relief and smile. I guess the Alphas them can’t stay away from their mates for too long. The mate bond is really that strong.

“Now shouldn’t we get going, we don’t want our guest to waiting any longer?” Kiefer asks.

“Ok.” I quickly put on the only dress that manages to fit. It’s an extra, extra large pink flare dress cotton dress. It’s very comfy. I brush my hair back letting it drop down my back. Kiefer help me put on my flat, since I can no longer see my feet. We made our way down the stairs and into the living room, where the whole gang Ryan, Jace, Kristy, Lily and my brother Max all sat chatting away.

“Hey guys” I said smiling.

“Hey Little Sis.” Max said hugging me. “Or should I say Luna?” chuckling I return the hug.

“Little Sis is just fine.”

Max is now the New Alpha for dad’s pack and I’m so proud of him. He’s not only here to visit but to also attend the meeting with Kiefer and so are Ryan and Jace. The girls tag along because they wanted to see me and I honestly miss them all so much. I was beyond excited when they all showed up last night without notice. I suspect Kiefer had known before hand and kept it from me. Regardless I’m still happy to see everyone again.

“We better get going or we’ll be late.” Kiefer said glancing at his watch. The guys agree with him. “I’ll see you later tonight.” He winks at me. I blush a little. From the corner of my eyes I notice Ryan giving Lily a small peck. I smirk at her and she blush a deep red, I’m so going to tease her later about Ryan.

The guys all left and we waited until we heard the vehicles all drove off. A huge grin broke across our faces. “Shall we?” I ask

“We shall.” Lily reply.

“Let’s pick up Christina on the way.” Kristy suggests as we pool into the car excited for our day of shopping. The girls met Christina last night when they arrived. Christina was keeping me company until Kiefer return home. They all immediately became friends and after they found out about my pending date. They all suggest we go shopping the next day since the guys will be busy all day. I’m glad I agreed since none of my clothes fit anymore. I’m going to have to get few new ones.

Starting the car Lily drove to Christina house. She honked twice before Christina came rushing out. She smiles at us as she got in and Lily once again drove off. Heading towards the mall.

“I’m so happy we’re doing this. It feels like our very own girls’ day out.” I said. I couldn’t help being excited. I honestly can’t say when last I’ve did something like this with a bunch of girls.

“Yes, it’s really exciting.” Kristy perks up, her blue eyes sparkling with excitement. Being home schooled all her life I doubt Kristy did something like this before or with a bunch of friends. She may be the youngest among us, but we all enjoy her company and despite her age she’s actually very mature and smart. She’s almost 17 and already she’s taking online collage classes.

“Totally,” Christina agrees.

We chatted all the way to the mall, basically trying to catch up on everything with my girls. A few minutes later we pull up in front the mall and Lily let us out while she goes and park the car. A few seconds later she returns a huge smile on her face.

“Are we ready to get our shop on?”

We all nod our heads in union already for our exciting shopping adventure ahead of us.
