Brella POV

“Listen to me, you must be mentally prepared for what we’re about to do. It’s the only way we can escape.” I said after explaining the plan.

“Yes, I’m ready.” Kristy reply confidently.

“Ok let’s do this.” I said as I squeeze her hand giving her a small smile. “You’ll need this.” I handed her one of the scalpers.

With shaking hands, she takes it from me.

Taking a deep breath, we walked towards the exit as we near it I looked at Kristy and nod my head as I began my acting. “aah.” I cried out as I couch down my arms wrap around my stomach.

“Help she’s having a baby.” Kristy called as two guards came forward, one wearing a black t shirt while the other wore none but a pants.

The guards look at each other unsure. “Who are you?” one guard without a shirt ask as he eyes Kristy suspiciously.

“Who I am is not your concern all you need to know is that bought me here to make sure she gives birth safely.”

“Then what are you guys doing till back here?” the other guard asks

“she tries escaping, but I caught up to her in time.”

These guards ask too many questions I thought as Kristy glance at me nervously. “Aah.” I screamed again this time being more dramatic, I even began panting.

“What are you waiting for, if you don’t do anything Jax will have your head if her and the baby die.” Kristy said threatens her voice fill with panic.

They glance at each other before nodding their head. The one without the shirt came forward, he stoops to my level as the other stoop beside keeping an eye.

“Kristy now.” I shouted as I pulled out the scalper, I kept hidden and slit the guard throat. B***d spilled out as he stared at me with cold dead eyes. I look up and see Kristy manage to do the same with the other guard, b***d spilled on her as the guard body dropped to the floor.

I manage to get myself up and I stood watching as the floor quickly formed with a pool of b***d. I looked at Kristy she stood there froze the scalper still in her hand, held out. I walk towards her and place my hand on her shoulder.

“Are you ok?”

Dropping the scalper, she turned around and hug me as she cried softly. Quiet sob fills the room. I hug her back. I know this would have been hard for her. she’s never harms anyone before let alone kill and she’s still young. I sighted I wish it never came to this, but I see no other way for our escape and it’s either kill or be killed. As a werewolf this is something we grow to know especially dealing with rouges.

Of course, I’ve never killed before but being the Alpha daughter, my father trained me to fight and how to kill if there is a need to. He always tells me to be mentally prepared to kill, so thou it is my first time also I’m a lot calmer.

“Don’t be sad, you did good and beside their bad guys, they deserve to die.” I said as I try to comfort her. “I’m proud of you.” I pull away smiling at her.

She smiled back. “Thanks Bree.”

I nod my head. “We should get going.”

“Yes.”

Stepping outside I notice the sky was getting dark. Soon it will be night fall it thought. I look around and notice there’s only a forest straight ahead. So, this must be the back of the hospital. Only way to go is through the forest, our best bet.

Taking Kristy hand, she looks at me and I nodded a yes. “The forest.”

“Ok” she said

We began making our way through the forest walking as fast as we can to get further away as possible. We passed a few trees, but I can tell we haven’t gotten far enough because I can still see the building.

“Wait.” I said as I stopped walking.

Kristy stopped looking back at me. “What’s the matter?” she asks concerning.

I took off my shirt I had over my simple dress. I’m so glad I decide to wear this. Looking around I for a rock the size of my palm and I wrap it around my shirt. I throw the shirt as far as I can.

Kristy stare at me confuse.

“They will come looking for us anytime time. This will buy us some time when they are tracking us.” I explain.

“Oh, that’s smart.”

“Thank my Dad for his teaching.” I said smiling. “We’ll go left.”

We continue walking keep our ears and eyes out for anything sometimes we stop to take a short break before continuing. I try reaching my mate a few times, but I am still too far away to make a connection.

“oww” Kristy mutter.

“You ok?” I ask looking at her worried.

“Yes, just a little scratch.” She smiled

“I’m sorry I got you into this, Jax is only after me and because you were with me. you got mix up into this.” I said as we continue walking. Really if it weren’t for me, she would never go through this.

“Brella you don’t have to apologize.” She said grabbing my hand. “I mean yea it’s scary but I’m glad to be with you, you are so brave throughout all of this and it is because of you we manage to escape.” She smiled.

“Thanks.” I smiled

Looking up at the sky I notice it’s gotten a little darker, if we could find a stream, we can follow it, it could lead us to civilization and the water can help us mask our scent.

“How long more do you think we have to walk?” Kristy asks looking tired as I am.

“I’m not su”

“aah” I yelled covering my mouth as the most unbearable pain hits me. I held onto a tree for support as I feel I could not keep myself up.

“What happen?” Kristy ask concern as she comes near me.

Breathing I look up at her frowning. “I’m having contractions again and they are stronger this time.” I said.

Thinking back, it must be that time when the syringe went into my arm. I bite my l*p as another wave of pain hits me. I felt a liquid run down my leg, and I look up at Kristy a little panic.

“I think my water just broke.”
