Episode 58

“I won’t betray your trust, Jade. You are my true mate and I have never felt this way about anyone else. I locked eyes with you, and it is like we are connected in the deepest way possible. If it hadn’t happened to me, I wouldn’t even believe it myself. When Ashley tried to get my attention by pulling my head down and kissing me when I pulled away from her and looked for you again and saw the hurt in your eyes. My heart literally clenched from the pain that I caused you. You are my everything, my only mate. I can still close my eyes and see the pain that I caused you by not stopping her, but I was so caught up in seeing you and finding you, I didn’t even realize that she had pulled my head down until it was too late. I did break the k**s-off, but I am so sorry to even cause you an ounce of pain baby. I won’t let it happen again. I already told her that I would banish her and her family from the pack if she tried anything else. I was serious about it, but she is so hell-bent on being Luna, I feel like she will still try again. So please, don’t listen to her, she will lie or try anything to break us up. Please talk it out with me if you ever have any doubts, I will never lie to you, I want only you. Please don’t leave me, Jade”. I tell her.

I hear a sniffle behind us and turn to see my sister, Bree, crying with Nicole and Jessica. The guy’s still on the boat are standing there as well with a smile on their faces. The only people missing are Tate and Braxton who are still skiing.

“That is the sweetest thing I have ever heard you say, Asher. I believe you and that this is who you are. This is the brother that I have missed for almost a year. Please stay, don’t leave us again, I have missed you so much, big brother”. Bree tells me while crying.

“That was beautiful, I am so happy for you Cuz”. I hear Nicole say to me.

“Oh, this makes me so happy. I have wanted Jade to get a happily-ever-after and here it is, this makes my heart so happy. I can’t stop smiling”. Jessica says to me.

“Girls I am glad you are here, and Dixon too. I have to ask a favor of you all” I tell them. “When you go back to school, I don’t want Jade left alone. I am sure Ashley will try to find out who my mate is if she doesn’t already know, as she saw me staring after your boat when you were leaving, and I don’t want Brittany getting to Jade. Please tell me the second you see Brittany messing with Jade, you too Jade, no more letting others mistreat you. I can’t protect you if you don’t let me know what is going on. I already told Ashley that I have a mate and for her to leave me alone. I also told her if she causes me or my mate problems that I will banish her, and her whole family from my pack immediately. I plan to make good on it if they do. Jade had been through enough, I have even caused her pain, and that stops now. There will be no other problems or incidents that hurt Jade. So please, if you see something, say something. If I have to leave school to take care of it, so be it, I will”. I tell them. Mason steps up to hug me and tells me he and Braxton will make sure of it when they are on pack lands as well.

“They won’t be missed at ALL. We will watch out and protect Jade”. Bree says to me.

“I said the same thing to her that I didn’t think that anyone would miss them” I laugh as I tell her that.

“I am so glad to have you back Asher”, Dixon tells me and brings me in for a big hug. Dixon continues, “I REALLY didn’t want to be Alpha, but mom and dad wanted to get your attention and for you to get your head on straight. I believe you were meant to take over the pack and run it with Jade by your side. I have felt a connection to her from the moment I met her. I am so glad the Goddess sent her to you. I know that she has plans for you both”.

I am so humbled by the outpouring of love from my siblings and the support from my Beta. This was how it was always supposed to be. I was the one who changed and made everything weird with us. It was all due to my actions and I am glad that I made the correct changes to stop being who I thought I was supposed to be and go back to who I actually was. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders, for the first time in almost a year. I am excited to face the days to come, instead of gritting my teeth to get through them and looking for some comfort anywhere I could find it. I have Jade to thank for that, she could have cut me off at the knees and denied me the chance to make it up to her, but she didn’t she loves and accepts me right where I am now, what a blessing I have in Jade. I have no idea what I did to deserve her, but I will thank the Goddess for her every single day of my life.

We spend the rest of the day swimming, skiing, and eating lunch on the boat while we played our music lists over the speakers. We all had a great day, and I wish that it would never end, but we have to take the boat into the slip for the night.

As we get closer to the slip, we all notice a familiar figure near our slip. I look over at Jade who also sees her, and the whole group tenses up as none of us want a confrontation, but we all know it is coming.

Tyler expertly docks the boat and he and Tate get off to secure the lines. Tyler had already told us to stay on the boat until they got it secured, and then we would all leave the area together as a group. We come off of the boat together and head for the parking lot, and we didn’t see Ashley, thankfully, anymore. But as we approach our vehicles, we see her standing by the SUV that belongs to the Stone Moon pack, the one that Asher is driving, parked near the Jeeps.

“Baby, I have been waiting on you all day. Where have you been?” Ashley asks Asher.

“For the last time Ashley, we are not together. I have warned you. If you don’t leave now. I will Alpha Command you to leave me alone. We are done, stop popping up everywhere I go”. Asher tells her.

“That isn’t what you said, last night baby”. Ashley coos at Asher.

“Nothing happened last night Ashley, and nothing will happen between us again. Ever again Ashley. I don’t know what I was thinking even trying to date you, Ashley, it was a real lapse in judgment, and it WON’T occur again. Never again. We are finished, I don’t want to talk, look at, or interact with you ever again”. I tell Ashley.

“Well too bad for you, because I am pregnant, and it is your baby Asher. So, I guess I will be Luna after all, won’t I”. Ashley tells the group.

We all gasp, and Jade goes to pull her hand away from mine, but I hold on to her hand as I start to shake my head at Ashley. Tyler and Tate are lowly growling at Ashley and me, but I know she is lying, and I am about to bust her out in front of the whole group. She is trying anything, but I know the truth and I won’t lose Jade over the lies that Ashley is telling. I give Jade’s hand a little squeeze to comfort her, as I look over to her and give her a small smile. She doesn’t smile back, and I know she is upset at what Ashley just said to the group.
