Chapter 128

Gabi’s POV

Royal Knight pack

Finally, some action. I can’t wait to see Jasper get what he deserves. I was so happy at Sloan taking the initiative to protect Cassidy for Peyton. Sloan knows how much Peyton cares about Cassidy. We were all glad when Sloan protected all three women the first time that he attacked, but she knew he was going to attack the second time and stopped him again. Dawson was so happy at how quickly she reacted, he is sitting with his protective arm around her, wanting all who can see him know that Sloan is taken. He is the proudest man in the room showing off the fact that his mate, his fiancé is protecting not just Peyton, Cassidy, and Teresa, but Leader Miller, the Alpha King, and the rest of the Council as well. It is time for Jasper to get what is coming to him, so I took the initiative and stood up to go open the swinging door between the Council and the rest of the courtroom and waved for Cassidy and Trevor to come out and come to sit with us.

They slid onto the row behind us, which was smart as Jasper has come after Cassidy twice. I sat back down, and Sloan takes Jasper and floats him over to the table that Cassidy had been sitting at and dropped him onto the floor next to the chair. He gets up quickly in embarrassment and gives her an angry look before jerking the seat back and sitting down. He is furious that he is not able to talk his way out of this one and sat there with his arms folded.

“Jasper, I really thought you were smarter than that, but I want to thank Sloan for all her help today with keeping Jasper from hurting anyone else. I know that I speak for the whole Council, and the Alpha King as well in saying that he has hurt enough people, and that will all stop today” Leader Miller said.

“I have it uploaded and ready now, Anthony” Council member Phillips said.

“Thank you, Teresa. Now, your trial was over, but since you like to act up so much, and I can be petty too, I am going to reopen it, and include a few new charges. Go ahead and play the video please” Leader Miller called out. A video popped up on the screen and you see the new Beta to Dark Savage standing next to the fireplace in the Alpha’s Office as he tried to find the button in question to open the secret room. We all heard a gasp from the person videoing the whole thing on their cell phone as a hidden door pops open. The Beta starts walking into the dark hallway using his cell phone for light, but two steps in, he sees a light switch and flips it on. It takes about 5 seconds but then a stairwell is illuminated, and the men start heading down the stairs.

The whole area gives off a dark and chilly vibe as neither man speaks while they go down the stairs. At the bottom, all we see is the Beta’s back on the camera, and we all heard his gasp, before the second man, presumably the Gamma steps to the side to see. We see a full-sized bed with floral bedding on it, in a youthful print, with a pink comforter on it against the far wall. There were also two cuffs noted as affixed to the wall for her arms to be attached to, probably to protect his face from Peyton trying to attack him or protect herself. That wasn’t the worst of it. There were also cuffs on the end of the bed as well. His plan was to take her at 14, why would there already be cuffs attached to the bed frame already. The whole thing made your stomach turn to see it. You knew at a glance that he was never going to wait on her to be 18, he was just sugarcoating it, so we all wouldn’t think that he was a sick bastard. But we all know the truth now, he deserved death, as quickly as someone could issue it. He was going to manipulate her into falling in love with him in some kind of sick Stockholm syndrome. His whole intention was to try to condition her in an attempt for her to make her parents think that she really loved him. The roar of anger that Percy let out once his shock let up literally shook the room. Percy jumped up and headed straight for Jasper, but Sloan stopped him too.

I put my arm out and placed it on his. Peyton did too, but this needs to play out, we need to see all of it, and they need to add all of the additional charges on Jasper. Jasper turned and gave Percy a smirk, but another growl shook the room, and King Sebastian was now the one out of control. He was heading for Jasper too and the smirk he was wearing was enough to make your b***d run cold. He was going to kill Jasper right now, and I could understand it, I could. But we need to finish this, and I was glad when Queen DeAnna hopped up and ran to stop him. I can understand his rage, and I am furious too, but I know that he will not be living much longer, we need to allow the rest of the video to play, and then let his additional charges be set and noted against him. He deserves each and every charge that he gets. It matters because this is on record, and he needs to have all his wrongdoing attached and noted.

King Sebastian went into the witness box with Heath, who was also sitting like he was also about to leap up and kill Jasper. King Sebastian then put Queen DeAnna onto his lap so he could take in her scent to calm down. Jasper isn’t smirking like he was, he knows that his time is up, so he is just waiting on when his sentence will be carried out. After his attempt to attack Leader Miller, a total of 10 more warriors entered the room. The video started again, and whoever was filming stepped up to the bed and pulled on the chains to show that they were attached to a metal frame, that was bolted to the floor. Whoever was the unlucky person to get cuffed, even with their wolf strength, was not going to escape what was in store for them. You could tell from the hiss when he touched the cuffs that there was silver mixed in with it, to weaken the wolf. He had thought of everything in his prison for Peyton.

I see movement next to me, and Percy now has Peyton pulled into his lap and sniffing her neck like he would die if he didn’t. He is clearly very upset, and frankly, I am too. I see tears in Sloan’s eyes for the plans that Jasper had for Peyton, which none of us would have ever known anything about if Bain hadn’t told on him. Poor Peyton though, she is shocked and horrified. She had to turn from the video to look out the windows, as she realizes that even with the beating and mistreatment that she received after the attack at B***d Claw, she really dodged a bullet with this one. It was clear what Jasper’s plans were going to be, from day one of capturing Peyton.

The men went through the whole area, and she had a small kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, and a table for two. She also had a tiled shower, with a glass surround, so he could watch her take her showers if he was in the room. There were no separate areas, just one big open room that was like 40×40, from the looks of the video. There was a TV, and two empty bookshelves, for books and DVDs, but it was clear that this would have been a horrible way to live for anyone. If Jasper had been successful in getting her, what if he were killed in an attack? Peyton would have been left down there, only found when the room was discovered. It was a nightmare existence that none of us could imagine for anyone, let alone a 14-year-old girl. The comments that they made let us all know that they could see what was going on, even without being told what the room was to be used for. They both condemned Jasper as well in the video, and I know that most of the room was feeling sick over what we had just seen. I know I was.

“You are a disgusting person, Jasper. You do not deserve to live a moment longer. I do not condone violence, but I swear to you, if my daughter didn’t need me to comfort her, I would rip your head from your body right now” Queen DeAnna told him, and he gave her a smirk, and said, “Give me your best shot, Queen.” It was clear to all of us the disrespect that he was giving her as he said her title. King Sebastian growled again at the disrespect that his Queen and mate were being given. I know that he was holding on by a string right now, Maybe Jasper thought that it would be an easier death with the King, I know it would be a quicker one.

“Jasper, why? Why did you have that room built? What you had planned for me, to do to me, is disgusting. I have never hurt you, or done anything to you. So, why would you plan to do something so utterly wrong to me like that? What is wrong with you that you would think that it would be acceptable to r**e me? That isn’t how normal people think or behave. I don’t understand, why? Why would you want to hurt me like that?” Peyton said in a soft voice from Percy’s lap.

Jasper turned around with his smirk still on his face, but he stopped at seeing the tears running down Peyton’s face. “I was going to wait until you were about 16 or 17, I swear to you Peyton. I was not going to try to sleep with you at 14. I know it looks bad, but I was just getting the room ready. People were going to be looking for you, so I couldn’t bring them in while you were there. I had to get the room totally ready. I needed to get it covered up quickly, and for people to forget about its existence. I was going to eat dinner with you, watch movies with you, and we would have grown to love each other. The s*x, when you were old enough, was just going to bond us that much closer together. I would never have r***d you, I care for you, and I wouldn’t have deliberately hurt you. Please believe me Peyton” Jasper said, and he looked honest, but this man is a master manipulator and a very convincing liar. I don’t believe him, he is just trying to get out of this new evidence.

“I don’t believe you, Jasper. You had a mate, a good woman, and you chose to hurt her, your own mate. I have a mate. I know how strong the bond is with that. Yet you chose to ignore it and look for specific women to mate with. In your quest to be stronger, more powerful, with strong pups. You are a monster, a monster who likes to hurt others. We all heard what you did, from your own mouth, because Bain is the only one out of the two of you that can be trusted at all. Even he said that he didn’t believe that you were going to wait. You hide your monster with an attractive face, and people fall for it. I wish your outside matched your inside because then no one would have fallen for your lies at all. You are an evil man, and I won’t feel safe until you are dead. I only feel bad for Bain, I hate that he will have to die as well, for your evil acts. I pray that he is saved from the pain when your sentence is carried out” Peyton said, and Sloan leaned forward and nodded to Peyton. I am so glad that Sloan and Dawson wanted to come today to support Peyton and Percy. I feel the same way about Bain, he didn’t deserve the bad human side that he was dealt.

“So, we are going to add your creepy prison to your charges, with the other suspected charges of what your plans were if you had gotten your hands on her. Thank the Goddess that you didn’t. I am also going to add two charges of attempted murder to your previous charges as well, as you tried to kill Cassidy two times today in court. Oh, and me, you tried to kill me too, so I will note that too. I have to say, Jasper, in all my years on the Council, I have never felt as sick, and disgusted, as I did today when we all saw the plans that you had for Peyton. That sweet girl never deserved any of the evil plans that you made for her, from the attempted kidnappings to this horrible room that we just saw. I am appalled at what we have seen and heard today, and I am ready to pass down your sentence. I vote for the death sentence, to be handed out immediately. I also want his body burned and thrown away, I do not want him to be buried, he does not deserve that level of respect after how he disrespected his status as Alpha”. Leader Miller said.

“ I agree, there is nothing more to add. Seeing this and now realizing the level of evil that you have inside you, I am almost willing to change my vote for Ms. Bridges. You indeed deserved the death penalty, to be carried out as soon as it can be, preferably today” the second member of the Council advised.

“I don’t even want to look at him anymore. I am sickened by the video that we just watched. Death is also my verdict” Council member Phillips said.

“You don’t even need my vote, as you already have a majority, but I will tell you that it has been rare for us to EVER get a consensus on this Council, but I bet we get one today. I agree with Jasper being given the death penalty. The sooner the better” the fourth member stated coldly as he looked at Jasper.

“I will not spoil the run that we are on today. Death, you deserve it. I don’t think I have seen a more deserving person for it either. I cannot believe the level of charges against you, and I believe that you are capable of so many more heinous acts. You have acted shamefully. As an Alpha, you are held to a higher standard, and yet you do this. You have had every opportunity in the world to live your life with honor, help people to have a better life. Instead, it really seems like you were not satisfied with one of the highest titles that you can have, and instead wanted the highest title of them all. You would have caused so my strife and discord if you would have succeed. It brings fear to my heart how close you were to make your plans a reality” the fifth member of the Council stated.

Jasper started laughing and said, “Do you really think that I am alone? That I am the only one who has done wrong? Please, you all should know better than that. I assure you that there are numerous others out there, the same as me. That is why this is such bullshit, their stupid true mates had the brains to die when their true mates marked their chosen mates. But not mine. That b***h held on, why? Can someone please tell me why? You already mention hundreds of freaking worthless bitches who refused to let go of their ranked mates, and why? Because they were greedy and wanted to have the prestige of having a rich, ranked mate. Why should these weak Omegas be allowed to get mates that they don’t deserve? You never deserved me Cassidy, and I really never deserved to have such a weak and disgusting mate. You’re not important enough to carry my children. How could they have any pedigree at all, if you were their mother? How the hell you managed to survive it when I did it not just once, but twice? That is something that I will never understand. I hope you die a horrible death Cassidy, you ruined everything for me, and for what? All because you wanted to be a Luna. You are the same as Stephanie, as far as I am concerned. I think that it is complete bullshit that you managed to kill not one, but two Lunas and yet there you are. Still breathing, and not deserving to live. You have nothing important or special about you, and I wished Bain had let me kill you when he scented you as being our mate. You were hot in bed, but you are worth nothing out of it” Jasper ranted out into the quiet room.

“Mr. Kershaw, you bring up some interesting points. Care to mention these Alpha or ranked members that you were referring to? You know, the ones that have escaped our notice these many years? Can you give me a few names or something more to go on? I would be glad to look into that, so you won’t be punished alone” Council member Phillips asked him. She kept her tone light, but you could tell from how thin her lips were right now that she was pissed.

“I am not telling you anything, Teresa. Figure it out on your own. Just remember the Alpha command for people to keep quiet about things is a tough thing to get around” Jasper said and then started laughing again.

“Jasper, you can think however you want, as it is your own opinion. But I never wanted to be a Luna. I only wanted to find my mate. Someone that was supposed to love me and take care of me. I was never good enough for you, but I loved you with my whole heart. I tried to become the women that you wanted. I changed everything about myself to conform to what I thought you wanted me to be. But I realize now, you don’t know what you want, other than to be the next Alpha King. You didn’t want a person, you wanted the title. You love yourself, and that is it. Don’t blame me for your stupid house of cards falling down. You were the moron who wanted to have more than he deserved and then got mad because his house fell down. I will miss Bain, I love Bain, but you, you are absolute evil. Let me be the first to tell you that no one is going to miss you, at all, Jasper” Cassidy told him and sat back down.

I know that Teresa is pissed off, it really seemed like Jasper was actually dumb enough to give her some names. She will need more members on the Council for her to try to delve deeper into figuring out who the men were that were responsible for all those deaths in the last 20 years. She will have to give up on a lot of them, as hard as that is going to be on her. Things have really changed in the last 20 years, people have died, and now different leaders have taken over. Leaders that wouldn’t know what happened back then. Clearly, she will need to just stay within in the last 3 to 5 years. We will just have to pray that the Goddess will take care of the men, and women, who thought so little of their mate bond that they would deliberately try to kill someone that just honestly wanted to be with their true mate, regardless of their rank.

I feel for Cassidy as well in this. I heard the pain in her voice. I know that she is worried about Bain suffering when Jasper is put to death, so I will have to get Sloan to tell her what she is going to do for Bain. I only hope that it doubles the amount of pain that Jasper feels. I will pray to the Goddess that however he is killed that Jasper suffers the maximum amount for it. If anyone deserved it, he does.
