Chapter 131

Gabi’s POV

Black Rose pack

“Stay right here son, I will be right back,” I told him as I headed to Peyton’s room to get her. I could still hear her softly crying and my heart breaks for her. No wonder Percy had been going crazy, Peyton’s heart is broken. I am so glad we are getting this straightened out right now.

“Peyton honey, all is well. Please come to the door. Percy is here. He is worried sick about you. He was on his way here when I stopped to make him speak to me. He is happy, do not worry at all. He wants little miniature Peyton’s all over the place. Please stop crying honey” I told her and walked with her to the door. Sloan went to her room telling us she was getting her shower now to give us some time. She is happy too. Happy that the grandbabies will have cousins that will be like a bonus brother or sister to them. I get back to the door, and I reached out to get Percy’s hand and bring it into the room for Peyton to hold. He needed to touch her, as her sobbing is upsetting him too.

“Baby, please don’t cry. I love you and want to marry you. This is supposed to be a good day, not a sad one” Percy tells her.

“But, Percy, you said, that you wanted to wait for a year” Peyton finally got out between sobs.

“Baby, I was waiting for you to be ready, I just didn’t want to push you into having babies before you were ready. I am ready right now. I want everyone to know that you are carrying my pup. I was just trying to not pressure you. You have been through enough baby, I didn’t want you to feel like you had to do anything to make me happy. You just being here with me, as my mate, is enough for me. I love you. I just wanted to give you a year to recover from all that you have been through. I didn’t want to make you feel like we had to compete with Dawson and Sloan on having pups. I was trying to keep the stress and pressure off of you baby, not put it on you. I could not be happier about us having a baby together. I love you, and I want you to know that I am so happy that we are having a pup” Percy told her, and her sobs lessened.

“Really Percy? Are you sure? You aren’t just saying that because I am upset?” Peyton asked him as her cries softened.

“I am positive. I can’t wait to announce to everyone here that I am going to be a dad. I am going to be a dad!” Percy said and the joy in his voice we heard when he said it in a yell made Peyton laugh in relief. The weight was off her slim shoulders now and she was back to her happy self.

“Peyton, can you step a little closer to the door please?” Percy asked a minute later, and I hope he is not trying to catch a glimpse of her. Peyton stepped up to the door and Percy gave her a hug with the arm that was in the room, and I see Peyton close her eyes, happy with the comfort that he was giving her. When she straightened back up, I watch as Percy’s arm slides down her arm and then splays across her stomach which is only about an inch bigger than it was last month, and gives it a loving little rub on it, acknowledging his pup. I feel the tears pricking, making my eyes burn at this loving act, and I have to bite down on my l*p to try to keep from crying myself. A tear falls from the corner of Peyton’s eye, but she is now crying tears of joy knowing that Percy is happy about the baby. I am so proud of my son, he did the exact right thing for his mate, and I could not be more proud of him or Dawson.

“I will see you in 2 hours baby, you will recognize me, I will be the really hot guy on the stage,” Percy tells her and makes her laugh again before he pulls his hand back and we hear him walking away. I know he didn’t want to go, but he knows that she is OK now, and we need to get this show on the road. I go to shut the door and a hand stops me. I open it again to see Elena standing in the hallway with the rest of the bridesmaids behind her. I already know that she knows because she had tears in her eyes and immediately went to hug Peyton. All the girls do and get her crying again. Apparently, they were heading back this way when they heard Percy’s enthusiastic announcement that he is going to be a daddy. I looked at Peyton and said, you need to tell your parents, so they don’t hear it through the grapevine.

Peyton nods her head and pulls her phone out. I send the girls in to start getting hair and makeup done as they can go 4 at a time as both the hairdressers and the makeup artists are here now. I know we need to wait on another visitor or two before Peyton needs to go anywhere near makeup. I have known the Alpha King for a long time. I know that he will be just as excited as I am about it, if not more. They have had a whirlwind of things happen in a short amount of time, but I know for a fact that they will be very happy about this. I heard the knock and go to answer the door with King Sebastian and Queen DeAnna standing in the hallway with big smiles on their faces. I go into the next room to give them time with their daughter and shut the door to the room since the girls are getting their hair and makeup done. The ladies are making really good time, and they started on the easier hairstyles first, as each of the girls picked how they wanted their hair and makeup last night to save time. So, the girls who wanted their hair in a high ponytail, or the fishtail braid were going first as the hairdressers had a plan of attack for today. Two more hairdressers would be coming in after the men were done and would help with curling and styling to get it done quicker. As Sloan, Peyton, and Elena will have more intricate hairstyles, as those will take longer.

Peyton comes in about 10 minutes later smiling from ear to ear and is ready to get dressed in a button-up shirt and shorts so she can get her hair and makeup done too now. She, Sloan, Elena, and I will be going last on getting ready, but the ladies are making great progress on hair and makeup. 30 minutes later they start on us. All 8 bridesmaids are ready and look gorgeous. My dress is not in the room, I wanted it to be a surprise for the girls, so I wore shorts and a button-up shirt too. I have already given the special headpiece to the lady doing Sloan’s hair and makeup and when she saw it her eyes sparkled as Sloan really didn’t care about her makeup and had told her to just do light makeup when she asked what Sloan wanted last night. Sloan didn’t care, as she hasn’t really worn it, and I get it. I usually don’t either. But for today, she will be getting the full treatment as there was a reason that I hired two photographers to work the wedding. They also had videographers too. I made sure that the boys would be without their mates for the night, so they would already be missing them, but I wanted those moments captured when they see their bride for the first time as she starts to come down the aisle. I was done first and went straight to Sloan at just the right time.

“That isn’t mine, I didn’t buy that, I don’t think it is supposed to be given to me” Sloan was saying.

“No, it is for you honey. Just like Peyton’s mom did something special for her with her tiara and veil, I wanted to do the same for you. I know how much Dawson loves your eye color. It is stunning, and you need to play it up. This will rest on your forehead bringing attention to your beauty, and your lovely eye color. I want you to embrace being a witch. We all love and accept you here, anyone with a problem with it, can leave B***d Rose. Don’t let anyone ever make you feel less because of you being a hybrid. I believe that your sister was so jealous of you because you are special. Instead of just being a she-wolf, you are special because you are both a she-wolf and a witch. Embrace the power that the Goddess herself gave you, there are few that are special like you. I know you will be out of your comfort zone today. But just trust these ladies to make you the most beautiful version of yourself today” I told her.

“Sloan, have you decided who you would like to walk you down the aisle today?” I asked her, hoping that she will want her father to do it. I wasn’t trying to take it away from Tanner, but I know that he thought that her father was the best option too. I know that Tanner or Vincent would do it in a heartbeat for Sloan. I just want her to make the call, and I will speak to the man that needed to do it.

“If dad wants to do it, I would be glad to have him walk me down the aisle. But if he doesn’t want to do it, he doesn’t have to stress, Vincent can do it” Sloan told me. She didn’t look at me when she said it, and I know that she is nervous at the thought of him rejecting the olive branch that she is extending to him, but I know that he will jump at the chance.

I brushed one of the tears off her cheek with my thumb and said, “I know he will be glad to do it for you Sloan, I will tell him the good news. I want to welcome you both to the family. I can’t wait to see Dawson and Percy’s faces when they see you both coming down the aisle today. I hope my makeup doesn’t run, this is one of the best days of my life” I gave each girl a k**s on the cheek and leave the room as I could tell I was going to cry myself. I hurried to my room and saw Tanner standing there putting his cufflinks on. I give him a big smile and watch his eyes follow me to the closet and my heart rate increases. Tanner always makes me feel like the most beautiful woman that he has ever seen. I quickly change as I already had my strapless bra set on and when I slid into my dress I heard, “You just ruined the best view” and I turned to see him leaning on the doorframe to the closet.

“You will see it again tonight if you play your cards right,” I told him as I approached him. I turned to let him zip me up and he ran his finger up my back as he zipped my dress for me. Tingles shot up my back with his touch and I leaned back into him as he gave me a tight hug, and then a little growl before he smacked my a*s and said, “I will be on my very best behavior then.” I grabbed my heels and followed him back into our room, putting my shoes on quickly, then doing a slow turn for him to see the full effect. I had picked a one-shoulder dress, with pink, purple, and white sequins sewn onto it. It was stunning, as it changed colors when I would turn to make it purple in some light, and pink in another. I felt I needed to wear both colors today to support both of my son’s mates. One shoulder was bear, and the other had a long sleeve and I felt like a goddess in it. From Tanner’s growl of approval and the nip he just made on my mark, I know he loves it. He takes my arm, and we head to the meeting hall, as we have friends and family to talk to and greet before the wedding.

The boys looked so handsome in their tuxedos and not at all nervous, they were both excited and I was so happy for them. I know that they will be stunned when they see the girls coming down the aisle. I can tell by the congratulations that Percy is getting that he spilled the beans and told anyone who would listen that he is going to be a daddy soon. He looks so proud standing up on the stage speaking to the Elder that will be doing his ceremony. We have two Elders that will be working the ceremony today, Percy and Peyton will have their own, and Dawson and Sloan will have their own as well. I didn’t want an elder to go back and forth between them, so we asked who want to go first, both down the aisle, and then married first.

Peyton wanted to go out first, I think she was nervous and didn’t want to be the last one left behind in the back. So, she will walk out after her bridesmaids to Percy who will be on the left side of the aisle, all her bridesmaids will be in a row going down the steps next to them, and Percy’s groomsmen will be standing behind them. Elena will walk in, and she will be center with her cousin Greyson, who is the best man for Percy and Dawson, and soon to be replacing his father as Beta for B***d Rose. Sloan’s Bridesmaids will then head out and they will stand next to Sloan and Dawson, with his groomsmen behind them. It worked out perfectly, with four bridesmaids on both sides, four groomsmen on both sides, and Elena and Greyson in the middle. Sloan will come out last and then Percy and Peyton will get married first, and then wait for Dawson and Sloan to get married. Then Peyton’s and Percy’s wedding party will start back up the aisle, then Percy and Peyton, followed by Elena and Greyson, Dawson and Sloan’s wedding party will then go up the aisle, and Dawson and Sloan will be the last ones out.

I planned it this way because I am after those wonderful pictures. I want to make sure I get that first look at Peyton by Percy and the same for Percy by Peyton. That is why there are two sets of photographers and videographers. Mom is no dummy, I know what I want and how to achieve it. I have made plans and I know that I should get great results from this. It is important, to me and Tanner, as well as King Sebastian and Queen DeAnna, and Sloan’s father will want pictures too. We should have a very nice catalog to choose from and I cannot wait to get the pictures, knowing that my grandbabies were here too. I grinned and set off to find Gerald to give him the good news. I was glad that he had come last night, I was worried that he wouldn’t. That was why I invited Rob, and Isobel to come as well, so he would feel more comfortable here with Rob being there with him. Dawson made sure to include him in everything, and I was glad when Tanner told me that. I had been worried, as I was with the girls, so I had mentioned it to Tanner. But Tanner said that without him having to mention it, Dawson took care of it.

Yes, we did a good job with both of our boys. They have grown into intelligent men that are capable of running these large packs. I spied Gerald standing with Beth and Vincent speaking to them both quietly. I gave them all a smile and waited for them to finish talking before I asked to speak to Gerald privately for a moment. I guess he figured that there was a problem because the first thing he asked was, “Is Sloan, OK?”

“Yes, she is. She wanted me to ask you if you would walk her down the aisle today?” I told him, and I didn’t give him the out that she had. I knew he wanted to. She did it for him to have an out and be able to save face, but I was already well aware of how much he wanted to do that for her. I was glad that she did that for him, and for her, as this was the first step in healing for them both, and they both needed it. I saw his eyes start to water as he tried to suppress his emotions. He is trying to not get too excited about it, and I see him look at me for a moment.

He finally said, “Is she truly OK with me walking her down the aisle? I won’t mind it if she would rather Tanner do it today too.”

He tried to hide the pain that came with saying those words out loud. I knew how upset he was at seeing Tanner do it in the rehearsal. I hadn’t had time to speak to Sloan and check with her beforehand to see, and I didn’t want to spring it on her in front of him. It was a personal decision, and I wanted her to have time to think about it, not just say yes because she didn’t want to hurt his feeling as he was standing in front of her. The rehearsal didn’t matter, the wedding did. I wanted him to be there in the pictures with her coming down the aisle. I am already thinking about the gift of a picture of them coming down the aisle together for him to be able to hang on his wall. I know I am heading to speak to the photographers to make sure that they get both fathers escorting their daughters down the aisle. It will make a nice gift for both of the men.

“No, she wanted you to do it. I think that it would be wonderful if you could. I know that you both need to spend time together to try to build a relationship. She made the decision on her own, so she is trying to reconcile with you. She is willing, just take it slowly, there is no rush. But I know that you want to get to see your grandpups too. I know that I am very excited about it. It is a blessing, and I don’t want you to miss a moment of it either, especially since your pack is so close to ours, and you are about to pass it on to Rob. That will leave you plenty of time to come and visit. You are welcome to come here to B***d Rose anytime” I told him.

“I didn’t know that she was pregnant. I am very excited to hear this. Dawson is a good man, and I am glad that she has him to love and protect her. I can go slowly, I am just glad that she is giving me a chance. I never knew what she had to go through until they read Meghan’s and Brandi’s memories. I dealt with all the warriors involved, by speaking to each one of them, one at a time, to Alpha command them to tell the truth. I ended up killing four warriors. I banished another five warriors. My pack is safe for her to visit now, but I am sure it will come with some bad memories. I can wait until she is OK with coming back, or I can come here to visit. But I can’t wait to see my grandpups. I am very excited about that, thank you for allowing me to come here and visit them” Gerald told me before heading off to find the wedding planner in the back. I couldn’t do everything, and I know how to delegate. she can tell him how to walk in with Sloan. Which freed me up to do what I felt was the most important. I can’t wait for this wedding to start. I already know that this is one of the best weddings that I have ever attended, only surpassed by mine. I smiled and headed off to speak to the photographers with their last-minute instructions.
