Jordy lapsed into silence and heard Harold say, "The police are still grilling them about who's behind them. That's going to be a little longer."

Harold didn't say another word, and Jordy hung up the phone and said nothing more.

Karen finally came to her senses and looked at Gloria. "Gloria, did you do it?"

Gloria coughed discreetly to hide her embarrassment.

"... Yes."

The answer left Karen in a state of shock.

Jordy remained silent, and his taut face seemed to go slack.

After a pause, Karen said, "Gloria, you... know how to fight. I didn't even know that."
