Chapter 728
Chapter 728 Standing Up for Her
Freda followed behind Jordy but did not dare get too close. She didn't want to give up either. She followed until the two people entered the elevator.
"Mr. Collins." she cried out, hoping that he would open the door for her.
People looked at her with different emotions.
The manager of the personnel department eyed her and snapped, "I hope you'll give everyone an explanation for what happened today. I won't mince words. You know about Mr. Collins' personality." He then left without taking another look at her or waiting for her response.
Those who didn't like Freda sneered, "I almost failed to pass the interview back then. To be honest, your way of doing things is problematic. If you continue to work here, you'll drag down the reputation of the Collins Group. Several friends of mine failed to get the job. They told me that you're the most disgusting among the interviewers.?!
"You think you're following the guidelines, but the questions you asked are weird. Ask yourself, can I do those things? What makes you think you can stay if you can't? Because you're old and eat more than us?"
The staff member had been holding a grudge against Freda. In the past, she was not capable enough to challenge the woman. Now that Freda was fired, she was emboldened to comment.
She had waited for this day for so long. Finally, Freda reaped the whirlwind.
Freda turned livid and countered, "The rules I stick to are good for the company. If your friend were a fit, I wouldn't have eliminated her."
The staff member sneered, "True or not, everyone knows the answer. Your reputation stinks, and people are not blind. Sophistry is just sell-deception. Do you think the others all feel the same way? If your approach were really feasible, Miss White wouldn't have ruled it out. Everyone believes in Mr. Collins' vision. What makes you think you can argue about that? Are you as capable as him?"
"Yeah, you have no vision but have the nerve to criticize others. Jealous chimps like you should get
the hell out of Los Angeles. Mr. Collins doesn't want you to stay, remember?"
Those hostile ones commented one after another whereas those who were expecting Gloria's downfall kept their mouths shut due to Jordy's intervention. Thiey were afraid of leading the trouble to themselves. They would be doomed if Mr. Collins threw them out of Los Angeles too.
"Alright, it's time to work. Go back to your posts." A supervisor stepped in. They were bored of it anyway. Following one last glance at Freda, they got scattered.
Freda was left standing there, disconcerted.
The supervisor went to her side and mused, "You're not at the end of your rope yet."
Freda looked up at the woman. Her eyes were tinted with confusion.
Since no others were around, only she heard the supervisor's remark.
This woman was the head of the sales department, but they had no connections. Freda saw the meaningful look in her eyes and blurted out, "Any idea?"
