It turned out that Katie was the chairman of Hartley Group, and also the person who helped Sofia book this resort. Moreover, Rivers Bank really was in trouble because they had offended her!

When Gavin saw that Adam did not have a glass of wine with him, he decided against offering a toast. He continued, "Mr. Drake, there are some matters I would like to discuss with you in private. It's about something Mr. Redfield told me before." Adam hesitated a moment before nodding in agreement. "All right. Nelly, can you prepare a room for us?"

Nelly immediately went to look for an empty room.

Adam turned to Katie and said, "You can continue having fun with your classmates. I'll wait for you here until the party is over."

Katie nodded happily.

Sofia came over and said, "Let's put these unpleasant matters behind us. C'mon, we're going to party until dawn!"

Her classmates smiled awkwardly, unsure as to how to reply.

Ted and Ivy stood in their original spot, their expressions stiff.

Adam sat on the sofa with Annie and asked, "What did you want to tell me?"

Gavin did not dare to sit. He said while standing, "Mr. Redfield mentioned two steps while discussing his plan to deal with Hartley Group. The first step was to have all the banks in Lisle blacklist the company, disrupting Hartley Group's flow of cash. The second was to have the Chamber of Commerce shut out Hartley Group and block the company's access to clients and suppliers."

Nelly said with a sneer, "So they want to make use of the Chamber of Commerce, huh? Lisle's Chamber of Commerce can't do anything. Mr. Drake needs to say but a word to make his wife the President of the Chamber of Commerce."

Gavin shook his head. "They weren't talking about Lisle's Chamber of Commerce. It was Alameda County's Chamber of Commerce!"

"It'd still be useless." Nelly snorted.

Gavin was shocked. He smiled awkwardly, feeling that Nelly was just boasting, but he did not dare to voice his thoughts.

If Lisle's Chamber of Commerce was an ant, Alameda County's Chamber of Commerce was a behemoth. The difference between them was huge. Even though Adam was powerful, he could not stand up to all the companies in the county! Adam said while playing with Annie, "I've allowed Silas Camden to run wild for long enough. It's time I make my move.

"Nelly, contact Black Dragon and have him inform the leader of the Camdens to come to Lisle tomorrow. I want to ask him if it's the Camdens who want to oppose me or if it's just Silas Camden."

Gavin was dumbfounded. Unable to hold back his curiosity, he asked, "Mr. Drake... when you said 'Camdens', which family were you referring to?"

Nelly scoffed, "Aside from the Camdens in the capital, which other family with this surname do you know of?"

Gavin stood rooted to the spot.

The Camdens were second only to the Hamiltons in the capital and were council members in the Chamber of Commerce. They were a real giant in the world of business. Yet, Adam wanted the head of the family to come over and see him!

Gavin felt like he had been too short-sighted. He thought he had seen the limit of Adam's power, but it seemed that what he had seen was likely just the tip of the iceberg. I wonder if the head of the Camdens will really come to Lisle tomorrow...

For some reason, Gavin was excited. He wanted to see the scene with his own eyes. However, he was aware that he lacked the qualifications and could not attend such a meeting.

At this moment, Adam's phone rang. It was Black Dragon.

"Drake the Dragon, our surveillance team has spotted some foreign mercenaries entering the country."

Adam raised his brows, and a murderous look flashed in his eyes.

"Daddy, why have you become so scary all of a sudden?" Annie pouted, unhappy.

The wild night continued, and the guests at the resort drank without care.

The large manor of the Camdens was located in the suburbs.

In the magnificent hall, Jaylen Camden had just finished his breakfast and was sitting on the sofa, reading a newspaper.

Suddenly, the phone on the table rang.

The old butler behind Jaylen stepped forward and looked at the screen. "Master, it's an unknown number."

Jaylen nodded and said, "Pick it up."

The butler answered, "Hello, this is House Camden."

In the next moment, the butler's expression changed, and he growled, "Who are you?"

Jaylen raised his head in puzzlement and asked, "What happened?"

The old butler mumbled something, not daring to speak clearly.

Jaylen furrowed his brows and said, "Tell me."

The butler pondered for a moment and tried to find the right words. But even after a few seconds, he did know how to relay the message without sounding rude. After all, what the person on the other end of the phone had said was pretty shocking. Jaylen said, somewhat disgruntled, "Are you going to speak or not?"

The old butler no longer hesitated and whispered, "Master, the person on the other end said that you should go to Lisle tomorrow to apologize."

Jaylen was dumbfounded. His frown deepened, and he asked, "What is this about?"

The butler continued, "The person that called wanted to know if the Camdens are the ones opposing him or if it's just Young Master Silas. Silas?

Jaylen snorted and said, "Who was this person on the phone?"

The butler shook his head. "They didn't tell me."

Jaylen's face fell.

The butler said in a comforting tone, "Master, don't worry. Perhaps it was just someone playing a prank on us."

However, Jaylen was not of the same idea. He recalled that when he met Enrico Morales a few days ago, Enrico had mentioned the word "Lisle".

Having remembered this detail, Jaylen snarled, "Get Silas here!"

The butler was stunned. Seeing the expression of his employer, he started to wonder if the call was not a prank like he had assumed. However, he did not waste time and gave Silas a call.

Half an hour later, the Camden Heir arrived.

"Dad, were you looking for me?" asked Silas as he arrived.

Jaylen did not fly into a rage and instead asked calmly, "What have you been up to recently?"

Silas was dumbfounded and panicked a little. "Nothing much. I've been looking around to find good projects I could invest in."

"Did you go to Lisle?" Jaylen asked.

Silas stiffened before silently nodding in affirmation.

"How is the development of Plot No. 3 going?" Jaylen asked next.

Silas' heart was beating like crazy, but he did not dare to tell his father the truth. If his father got wind of the fact that he had lost Plot No. 3 and disgraced the Camdens, he could forget about becoming his successor. "Uh, it's going well, I guess," lied Silas.
