Chapter 17 Drake has his suspicions

"Yes, Dad." Olivia also intended to do so.

However, Drake looked at the Old Riley suspiciously. "Grandpa, have you done this to Sophia before? Is there something that I don't know?" Emilia panicked.

They did do things behind his back. They were all too angry today to be careful of their words.

The Old Riley was stunned, "Drake, what are you talking about?"

"What was I talking about?" Drake said coldly, "If I my memories serve me right, you didn't know Sophia when we were together. And even if you had heard her name, you shouldn't t know what she looked like, unless... you had investigated her before!" The Old Riley looked away guiltily.

"Or, you had met each other long before that!"

Sophia was certainly not surprised. After all, these people had done a lot of things to her in the dark.

She stood up, "I've called the police. If you don't want the police to arrest all of you, better leave now!"

The Old Riley was an elder and had a high status in Sealand. How could he allow a woman he slighted to talk to him like that?

"Olivia, what are you waiting for? Give her the money!"

Anyway, with the Old Riley here, Olivia got nothing to be scared of. She walked to Sophia and fumbled for her own purse.

All of a sudden, Drake grabbed her wrist.

He was so intimidating that Olivia almost forgot to breathe.

"Don't you even want to ask me why I was here?"

Emilia came up to him quickly. "Of course, it's because she seduced you! Drake, stop defending her! Back then..."

"I wouldn't be here if you hadn't drugged me," Drake interrupted her.

Emilia stepped back in fright. "Drake, what are you talking about?"

Olivia said, "Yeah, Drake, how could you lie? Emilia did do some wrong things before, but she has changed. Can't you see what she has done for you over the years?" Drake looked straight at Emilia, "You want to marry me that badly? Since you couldn't marry me, you wanted to rape me?"

The look in his eyes was terrifying.

Emilia got scared looking into his eyes.

The Old Riley frowned. "Drake, what are you talking about?"

Drake glanced at Emilia, "Emilia asked me out for dinner last night and drugged me. If I didn't escape in time, I would have been raped by her."

Emilia denied it in a panic, "No, Mr. Riley. I can explain..."

Drake cut her off, "Stop! From now on, you aren't allowed to step into the Riley family again. Otherwise, I will kick you out of this country!" He looked impatient.

Emilia was so scared that she got down on her knees. "Drake, I'm sorry. Please don't do this to me. I don't want to leave Sealand."

With that, she hugged his thigh.

Drake kicked her away without any pity.

"Aunt Olivia!"

Emilia shouted in panic.

Olivia did not dare to speak. After all, the Old Riley must be disgusted with Emilia now after knowing what happened last night. Drake looked at the Old Riley, "Grandpa, you aren't going to leave?"

"She has to take the pills!"

The Old Riley insisted.

Drake sneered. "Grandpa, you overestimated your grandson's charm."

"Last night, I slept all the night in the icy bathtub. Achoo!" He sneezed as he said.

The Old Riley was surprised. They didn't sleep together?

The room was finally quiet after they left.

The property management staff came soon and refurnished the bathroom.

The original decoration had cost nearly ten million dollars, and it had only been a few days since Sophia moved in. Rich people were really unfathomable! Soon, Travis arrived.

"I heard about last night. Are you alright?"

Sophia felt much better at the sight of her big brother, who would always protect her.

"Don't worry, Travis. I am a tough girl and it was nothing."

"Did Drake hurt you?"

After all, the two were alone here last night. Travis was worried.

"Don't worry. I can protect myself now."

She would never let anyone hurt her again.

Travis gently stroked her messy hair on her forehead. "Call me next time if something like this happen again, okay?" "Got it!"

Travis brought her food. As she was about to eat, someone knocked on the door.

After Travis opened the door, a staff member came up to him and said, "Is Miss Lawson here?"

"What's the matter?"

"Miss Lawson, I work for Mr. Nathan Riley. He said that the two apartments would not be sold to you. I have brought the penalty. Sign on the papers and the money would be transferred to your bank account." It was indeed the Old Riley's style.

Before Sophia could say a word, Travis had closed the door.

The man shouted, "Miss Lawson, I'm not allowed to go back unless I get your signature on the papers. Miss Lawson, just help me out here!"

Travis looked at her and felt sorry for her. "But the price is too much."

He would never forget Sophia was close to death when she came back from Sealand to Pinkerton.

"When you win something, you lose something. Alright now, let's have a meal and then go see the Rileys."

After lunch, the two drove to the Riley manor.

After they arrived at the Riley manor, Sophia did not enter but stood outside the door. She had once promised she would never step into this place ever again.

"Ask the Old Riley here to see me, or I will tear the contract apart!"
