Revenge Of The Billionaire Girl -
Chapter 543 You Are the Only One
Bonnie took Sophia to see a picture of a little girl. Sophia had to admit that Drake had drawn Bonnie beautifully.
Moreover, instead of sketching their daughter, he used oil painting. Bonnie said that Drake had taken her to a sunflower garden while painting, and that she loved that beautiful place very much. Sophia pinched her cheek. "You've been with Papa recently. Forgotten you should learn classes from Grandma?"
"I do enjoy being with Papa. He took me to many places. Mommy, I didn't know it was so beautiful outside."
"Of course. Nature has provided us with many beauties. We're honored to have them."
Bonnie could not quite understand her, but nodded.
Sophia scanned all the pictures. She did not want them to just stay in the small studio and decided to show them to everyone in the world.
She wanted the public to know that her husband was not only talented in business, but also in the arts.
Seeing her study his paintings seriously, Drake chuckled, "Thank you for your encouragement."
Sophia looked back. "You've been too modest. Don't you know you are an excellent artist?"
"When I was learning art, my teacher said I was talented. If I had stuck to this field, I would have made some achievements."
"But you chose to do business later," said Sophia.
"Right. Olivia coveted the family properties. My father had no interest in running the company. Grandpa became aged. I didn't have other ways except for taking over the business." "Did you give up on drawing and painting?"
Drake nodded.
Sophia held him tenderly. "Now you've picked it up. You have plenty of time now. No matter what you do, I'll support you, Honey."
Drake pecked at her forehead. "You know what, Sophia? Your words mean a lot to me."
"I liked drawing and painting in the past, but Grandpa said I could learn how to appreciate arts instead of doing it. We're businessmen. If we have money, we can buy any artwork we like." "You never bought one."
"Right. I prefer to draw it myself."
Sophia said with a smile, "I understand."
"When you were young, you were also gifted in art. Why did you stop drawing and painting, Sophia?"
"I was gifted, but I didn't like it. Probably, like my mother, I preferred to study something weird."
"You also chose to become a businesswoman."
"It was because..." Sophia broke off and paused.
"Eh?"
Suddenly, Drake realized that Sophia chose to go into business because of him.
Sophia blushed. "Uh... Let's not talk about it."
"Are you sure you don't want to answer me?"
"Yep."
Drake chuckled, "I guess I was the reason you chose to become a businesswoman."
"You think too highly of yourself!"
"No?"
Sophia tried to give him a negative answer, but could not utter it.
Drake seemed to understand something. "I see. You deliberately started your companies in Sealand to attract my attention."
"Ahem. Ahem. Ahem..." Sophia coughed hard.
"Really? Wow."
Sophia would not admit it, rolling her eyes to avoid his gaze.
Drake, however, held her close. "I do appreciate you've done so, Sophia. If not, I wouldn't have encountered you again, met you, and had such a lovely daughter." Sophia stared at him and said, "I was too stupid then. Your family has wronged me, and so have you. And yet I loved you. I wanted to avenge, but..."
Drake knew exactly what she meant before she had finished.
He stopped her with a kiss, hoping to express all his love and care for her.
...
The next day, Sophia went to some other places. After comparing them, she decided on an ideal store, signed a contract and paid for it.
"I look forward to our cooperation."
"Me too."
Sophia took a copy of the agreement. Sara had been following her, jealous. She thought Sophia, born into a wealthy family, was unlike her.
Sophia could easily spend several million dollars buying a small place with less than 1, 100 square feet. It was expensive because it was a commercial place in a prime location. Compared to Sophia, Sara had several million dollars only.
"Let's go back."
Sara followed her back to the company.
Later, she called Rashad.
"Mr. Witt, Sophia took me out earlier to buy an empty store, but did not tell me what she intended to do with it. I didn't ask her."
If she did ask, Sophia would suspect her.
"You don't need to ask about it. I know what she wants to do."
Rashad did not expect Sophia to buy a store for Drake's art exhibition after failing to rent one. In the future, Rashad could never stop Drake from having an art exhibition again. Unlike common women, Sophia was rich. Earlier, Rashad wanted to force her to go to him for help, but his wish would never come true.
"What will she do with it?" Sara was curious.
"It's not what you should be concerned about. Do your job well, Sara!"
Sara bit her lip hard, saying, "Yes, Mr. Witt."
She did not expect Sophia to overhear her phone conversation.
Earlier, Sophia had suspected Sara without proof. After hearing their conversation, she had confirmed Sara was sent by Rashad.
After buying the store, Sophia had it remodeled. Since it was for art exhibitions, she did not need to make it too luxurious as the artworks should be the focus.
The interior design company promised her to finish it within one month. Therefore, Sophia let them handle it.
In the evening, Lily called and asked her to come to a family gathering.
Amused, Sophia said, "Lily, you haven't wanted to see me recently, do you? Your son has been negatively affected because of me. I don't think we can have dinner peacefully as if nothing has happened." "I'm sorry, Sophia. I should not have blamed you for that. I regret it."
"Rashad explained it to me. Thanks to you, he did not make a huge mistake. It was my fault. I want to apologize to you at the family gathering tonight."
Sophia did not answer.
"Please give me a chance, Sophia. We are family, no matter what. Since your grandfather's death, we have parted ways on bad terms. Other people must see our family as a joke."
