Revenge Of The Billionaire Girl -
Chapter 59 Does Aunt Olivia want to distance herself from those crimes?
Emilia panicked utterly, wondering if Drake knew something.
Frowning, the Old Riley asked, "Drake, what on earth happened? Anything else besides the current matter?"
In the police station, Nova admitted she had planned to murder Sophia the previous night, but the car accident wasn't mentioned. Emilia couldn't help trembling.
Drake darted a glance at her. "When Sophia broke up with me back then, she had a car accident."
The Old Riley immediately understood and asked, "Do you mean they also planned it?"
"No. No. How am I supposed to have committed such a crime?"
The Old Riley looked at Emilia, "Really not?"
"I... I..."
Olivia chimed in, "Dad, I don't know this matter. I'm sure Emilia didn't do it."
Emilia nodded vigorously.
The Old Riley sneered, "It seems I've trusted you too much all through the years."
His words made Drake relieved.
Drake couldn't blame the Old Riley for being confused. After Olivia married into the Riley family, she did many good deeds to please the Old Riley.
The Old Riley would have still trusted Olivia if Sophia hadn't exposed something in the recent few weeks.
Olivia was shocked, looking at Emilia. "Emilia, did you hide anything from me?"
Emilia gaped at her. 'Does Aunt Olivia want to distance herself from those crimes they plotted together?'
Olivia looked at the Old Riley and explained, "Dad, I still don't believe my sister has committed a crime. If the police officers haven't wronged her, it'll be so unimaginable. How could she have done such a thing?" The Old Riley gazed at Olivia without blinking as if he had never seen her through.
Olivia looked at Emilia again and added, "Tell me, Emilia. Did you do anything behind my back and hide it from me?"
"Aunt Olivia..."
"Answer me!"
Emilia realized that her deeds threatened Olivia, so the latter wanted nothing to do with the Lanes.
Emilia stood up. "Grandpa, I can tell you are unwilling to help us. I gotta go."
Shortly after she left the house, Drake stopped her in the yard.
Emilia turned around to stare at him in surprise, wondering if he still cared about her because he was talking to her.
"As I said, Emilia Lane, if you dare to enter my house again, you can't blame me for being rude. Letting you walk out on your own would deprive me of the pleasure of having you thrown out." He asked the servants to toss Emilia out of the manor.
Emilia's expression changed dramatically. "Why are you doing this to me, Drake..."
The servants had to obey Drake's orders.
"You know what you've done."
The servants gripped Emilia in control so she wouldn't move.
"I've never done anything! Don't believe in Sophia Lawson's words!"
"She's never told me anything about you. Emilia Lane, you've revealed your guilty conscience."
Emilia couldn't utter a word.
When she was taken away, fear was written all over her face.
Drake didn't find she was the manipulator of Sophia's car accident until recently. After knowing it, he wished to send the Lane family to Hell.
Much to his surprise, Sophia had acted more quickly. She had already started taking revenge on the Lane family.
Drake could tell she wanted to avenge herself, so he naturally helped her secretly.
When Drake turned around to leave the yard, his phone rang. A message popped out. He took a glance and went upstairs without being noticed by Olivia. The Old Riley had been waiting for him in the study.
"Grandpa, you want to see me?"
Drake entered the study and closed the door.
"Ehn. Have a seat."
Drake sat down.
"You said Emilia Lane had hired someone to hit Sophia Lawson by car. Tell me more details."
Drake wasn't surprised upon hearing his questions. He always told the Old Riley everything openly.
"I don't know the details about why Sophia suddenly left me. However, I found a problem according to all her deeds in Sealand. Then I figured out some details."
"After Olivia Grant knew I was in love with a girl, she checked Sophia. After finding Sophia was a common girl, she thought Sophia hit on me for money. Then she gave Sophia money to let her leave me. Besides, she made me believe Sophia was a gold digger."
"Emilia Lane was afraid I couldn't stop loving Sophia, so she hired someone to hit Sophia by car, wishing to kill her. However, Sophia survived. That was why Sophia came to Sealand for revenge." The Old Riley kept silent.
Drake could tell his recent changes. After all, the Old Riley was his biological grandfather, so he shouldn't hide it from the Old Riley.
"Grandpa, I wonder what Olivia Grant told you in the past. I sensed something wrong with her."
That was what the Old Riley had sensed recently. In the past, Olivia was a perfect hostess and treated him well. After Drake's grandmother got sick, Olivia also took care of her well without any complaints. She held the old Mrs. Riley's funeral later as well.
Those matters gradually made the Old Riley trust Olivia more and more without any doubt.
"Did you start to suspect Olivia Grant long ago?"
"Since I learned she wasn't my birth mother."
The elders in the Riley family wanted Drake and Aria to have a good, childhood so they reminded the outsiders to keep the secret and never mention Drake's father married twice. Besides, Drake and Aria were pretty young then, so only a few knew about this.
"When did you know it?" asked the Old Riley.
Drake decided to tell him the truth bluntly. "Grandpa, I've been in touch with my birth mother all the time."
"What? Did she come to see you?"
"Grandpa, please calm down. She did come to see me several times but always did it secretly. Besides, she never took the initiative to see me or make trouble for me. All these years, she never complained about Olivia Grant."
His words reminded the Old Riley of Drake's real mother. In fact, she was a lovely woman, but the Old Riley had gradually forgotten her as time went by.
"How's she doing?"
"Ehn, pretty well. She hasn't remarried. She will come to see me a few weeks later." Drake had planned to hide this secret forever.
The Old Riley heaved a sigh. "I didn't expect to be fooled one day. If you want to see your mother, go ahead. As for Aria..."
"I'll hide it from Aria for the time being. She needs time to accept the truth."
