Chapter 79 The Price family Came to Apologize

It surprised everyone that the Price family would come to apologize. Rumors had it that the Price family stopped the sellers from selling products to the Buying Department of the Skylane Group.

Now it seemed possible.

Marley, Mrs. Price and Cecelia walked into the president's office while Sophia was sitting in her chair. She didn't even bother to stand up, which was irritating.

"Mr. Price, Mrs. Price, and Miss Price, what brings you here?"

Chloe was laughing, standing next to her. This felt awesome!

Cecelia took a step forward angrily and pointed at her, "Sophia..."

Marley stopped her when she was about to say something.

Cecelia looked pissed.

Marley said first with a fake smile, "Ms. Lawson, we are so sorry for what we've done. Could you please let it slide for once?"

Then he looked at Mrs. Price and Cecelia, implying that they should apologize.

Mrs. Price frowned upon Sophia's attitude. But for the Price family, she had to hold back the anger this time. And she thought she would settle the scores with Sophia in the future. "Ms. Lawson, I'm sorry."

Then Mrs. Price gave Cecelia a nudge.

Cecelia couldn't make an apology to Sophia.

Sophia was so sick of their hypocrisy. She then said with a mocking smile, "Well, it looks like you are not here to make a real apology. I see how difficult that is for you."

Marley gestured for Cecelia but the latter just looked away.

You can just cover the loss caused in that government project." "Who are you to talk?" Cecelia roared angrily. Marley whispered to remind Cecelia, "Cecelia, that's Chloe from the Thomas family."

Everyone knew who Chloe was. There were top four wealthiest families in Pinkerton, including the Lawson family, the Thomas family, the Warburg family, and the Greenspan family.

And the Thomas family only got one daughter, Chloe Thomas. So she was high in status in many cities, not to mention in Pinkerton.

Cecelia looked at Chloe unbelievably. What was happening? Why would Chloe from the Thomas family work for Sophia as her assistant?

Marley urged, "Cecelia, hurry up!"

"I can't hear you." Chloe added fuel to the flame.

"Sorry!" This time Cecelia said it louder.

Sophia looked over at them. She knew their apology was not sincere, but the project could no longer be delayed. So, she said, "Fine, you can leave now." Marley knew why Sophia didn't give them a hard time. He thought, "There's plenty of time to get even with her. Let's just wait and see."

After they left, the Skylane Group got those products, and the project would start soon as planned.

Chloe looked at Sophia, "I think they wouldn't let you off the hook that easily. They'll do something else behind your back."

Sophia didn't care and said, "That's okay. If the Price Group wanna be bought, the Lawson family wouldn't mind helping them."

It would be a bit hard to ruin the Price family all at once, but the Lawson family could make it step by step.

"Don't worry. If they really go too far, the Thomas family, the Warburg family and the Greenspan family got your back."

Why was the union of four Pinkerton families so terrifying? They would never compete with one another, and instead, they would unite as one against others no matter what happened. It was because of this that no other families dared to mess with any of them.

He didn't think he was that charismatic.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony officially started. Harris stood in the middle with the mayor and other officials on one side and Drake and others on the other. Sophia was the only woman so she was arranged to stand beside Drake, with Bailey and Flynn standing on her other side.

Sophia and Drake stood quite close to each other. But she wouldn't stand there if it weren't for this ceremony.

It looked like they were calm, but actually, they all felt something.
