At that moment, Skylar had just set down her phone. She left it unlocked as she headed into the bathroom.

She was already undressed when she heard her phone buzz.

So, she called out to Joe, who was outside. "Can you check who just sent me a message?"

She was worried someone might have something urgent to discuss with her. Since it was a weekday, she had taken leave to attend her brother's wedding. Joe just hummed a response and picked up her phone. He knew the password to unlock her screen, so he could still access it even if it had locked.

He raised his brows subtly when he saw that it was from Aiken. It seemed that Paul wasn't wrong. Aiken definitely had some feelings for Skylar.

Joe didn't like invading others' privacy, but he couldn't help noticing their previous chat history. Skylar and Aiken seemed quite familiar with each other. His gaze eventually fell on the video Aiken had sent.

It was of Rosa.

When he saw Rosa kissing someone, he lifted his brow slightly.

"Who is it?" Skylar asked from the bathroom.

Joe didn't open the video he wasn't interested in watching someone else's kissing scene.

"It's Aiken. He sent a video of Rosa kissing someone else. Do you want to watch it now or later?"

Hearing Joe's words from inside the bathroom, Skylar froze for a moment. She found it hard to believe. Did Joe just mention Rosa kissing someone else in such a calm tone? He sounded far less shocked than she had been when she saw it herself.

"I'll watch it later. Let me finish my shower first," she replied.

Joe wasn't interested in who Rosa was kissing initially. But after a moment of thought, he forwarded the video to himself and then to Paul.

Paul responded almost immediately.

"Mr. Martin, are you trying to mock me by sending this late at night? You have someone to kiss, but I've only got my mom and a dog at home. Who am I supposed to kiss?" However, moments later, Paul realized something wasn't right. So, he sent another message.

"Wait, I misunderstood! Please ignore my last message, Mr. Martin. Let's pretend you never saw it!"

Feeling utterly embarrassed, Paul wanted to bury himself in a hole.

To regain composure, he saved the video and watched it carefully.

So, it seemed that Rosa had a new boyfriend? And judging by his appearance, he seemed to be a university student.

Paul had spent the past couple of days investigating Rosa during his free time. He wanted to gather detailed information in case it became necessary in the future.

After all, Rosa was like a ticking time bomb that could blow up at any time.

Back in the room, Joe had returned after showering in another bathroom. When he saw Paul's reply, he couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth. When he read the part about him having someone to kiss, his eyes wandered to the bathroom.

He could hear the sound of a hairdryer coming from the inside.

Standing in front of the mirror the next morning, Skylar stared at herself before shooting a glare at Joe. He was brushing his teeth nearby.

"This is all your fault. Look at what you've done. This spot can't even be covered with foundation.

"And the weather isn't that cold yet, so wearing a scarf feels too obvious.

"If I say it's a mosquito bite or an allergic reaction, no one will believe me-it's the classic case of trying to cover something up!"
