Elsie had heard that Skylar was a very impressive person. She had seen pictures of Joe and Skylar attending events together, and Skylar's beauty and presence were undeniable.

Alban's smile was knowing. "You're still young and don't understand men. Come with me inside. Don't forget, today your role is my assistant."

The people around him were waiting for him to speak, and it was clear-he was the one at the top, the most respected figure in the room, towering over everyone else. When his gaze swept over her, her heart skipped a beat.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Martin, I was caught in traffic. Let me drink this as punishment!" Alban said, sitting at the table and immediately pouring himself a full glass of wine, drinking it with exaggerated sincerity. The people around him began joking.

"One drink isn't enough, Alban! It should be three! How could there be traffic at this hour?"

"Did you change your assistant again? This one looks so young. She can't even be 18, can she?"

As they joked, their eyes moved from Alban to Elsie. Uncomfortable in the spotlight, Elsie's face flushed, and her awkwardness only drew more attention.
