Rise of the Alpha
Chapter 41: Epilogue

Magnolia

Just minutes before…

I have to pee so badly, and it’s taking everything in me to make it to the bathroom. If I didn’t have to pee as bad as I do, I’d be turning around without haste and stepping out of the bathroom. It’s absolutely disgusting in here. One by one, I open the stalls, looking inside as I hold back the vile that’s begging to come up. Giving up hope as I step up to the last door, I push it open anyway, but I’m happy to say it’s the best out of all of them, and my bladder isn’t going to last any longer. I hurry inside, pull some toilet paper off the roll and make a barrier between the seat and my a*s and sit down. A sigh of relief escapes as the sound of my stream hits the water inside.

Hearing the door open, I immediately perk up, but when the sound of feet are lighter, more feminine, I relax. Hearing a stall door open and the scuffle of feet stepping inside of it, I let out a little snort at my paranoia. Just someone else who needed to go, probably as bad as I did.

Pulling up my pants, I step out of the stall and over to the sink to wash my hands, mindlessly thinking about how much my life has changed in just a short period of time. Hearing a door open, my mind instantly thinks it’s Wylla. “Did you get me something with chocolate?”

But it’s not her voice that answers me. “Did you think you could take the man I’ve wanted right out from under me, bitch? He’s mine and there ain’t no two-bit wolf going to take him from me. Looks like you’re about to get your just desserts, though.” Turning around, I see the bartender from the fight club, Ava, the one who was flirting with Blaine.

“What do you want? He was never yours. He’s my mate. How did you find us here?” I respond to her, but she laughs an eerily insane cackle. F**k, is she that crazy?

“You see, it’s you who’s wrong. Who would have known how beneficial it would be to keep up with all the different wolf packs? And when a little birdy told me the Alpha heir of the Exodus pack was here to put his bitch of an intended mate in her place…” An evil smirk crosses her face.

“I don’t have time for you. He doesn’t want you, and to make it more clear to you, we’ve already completed our bond.” To make sure she really gets the picture, I lift my hair and turn my head, so she can see the mate mark newly adorning my skin.

“That means nothing.” She lunges for me and shoves me back, causing me to fall into the sink. A burning pain rages through my back at the impact.

The bathroom door opens and hope springs into my heart that either Wylla or one of the guys is here. But the person stepping through the door sends me into a panic. “Well, well, if it isn’t our little mate, and she’s been left all alone for the big bad wolf to come and take,” Reid sneers at me as he spins and twirls a knife in his hand.

I go to scream, but the bitch works quicker than I do and pounces on top of me, taking me down to the floor, then straddling me. Taking my hair in her hands, she begins to slam my head into the floor. I go to scream, barely getting the first yelp out before her hand clamps over my mouth.

“Are you going to help me shut her up before they realize something’s wrong?” she bellows out to Reid.

“Always someone wanting to spoil my fun. But bitch, remember your place.” Reid moves over to us as I squirm beneath her, trying to break free from her grasp. Kneeling down beside us, he leans closer to me, licking his tongue up the side of my face as he pulls something from his pocket. “I’m going to have so much fun breaking your a*s and marking this creamy skin of yours with my knife. F**k, my c**k is already hard in anticipation of your screams, smearing your b***d all over my d**k before plunging it inside of you, f*****g you into oblivion. But we need to go. Maxie boy is waiting for us in the car.” He holds up his hand, and I see the syringe, just before he sticks it into my neck.

The room begins to spin as my vision goes hazy.

Noooo! This can’t be happening, not now, not when freedom was so close. My body grows heavy, and I’m unable to move it. “Get off her. She’s ready, and it’s time to go,” Reid orders as he scoops me up and tosses me over his shoulder. My vision goes blurry, and I can barely think.

My wolf and I both scream, but our pleas land on deaf ears or I imagined the cries for help as everything goes dark.
