Salute To The General -
Chapter 3273 Danger for Leopold
Nathan's Eastern Front Forces consisted not only of the thirty thousand mercenaries under his command, but also twenty thousand of Leopold's Infernal Warriors and ten thousand Holy Warriors led by Hepburn the Holy Maiden. Along with the warriors led by the War Gods of some other small countries, there were a total of one hundred and fifty thousand warriors. With one hundred and fifty thousand warriors, it was naturally impossible to act in unison.
Nathan's requirement for everyone was for each War God to lead their own legion forward, and all they needed to do was to arrive at the designated area on time. The frontline's mission naturally fell upon Remdik's God of War, Leopold. Because among the Eastern Front Forces, Leopold was probably a God of War who was second only to Nathan. Nathan was the alliance's commander-in-chief and Eastern Front Forces' commander. Naturally, he couldn't serve as the frontline general. Therefore, Leopold was to be the frontline general. Leopold didn't shirk his responsibility, taking on the heavy burden of being the frontline. He led twenty thousand of his Infernal Warriors, charging at the forefront of the army.
After entering the vampire-occupied territory, Leopold's frontline forces soon encountered the vampires and engaged in a battle with them. To Nathan's delight, Leopold's frontline forces had surprisingly achieved consecutive victories in their skirmishes against the vampires, forcing the vampires to retreat in disarray. Leopold was even more excited as he led the Infernal Warriors to rise up and pursue the vampires relentlessly, becoming invincible wherever he went. Today, Nathan led the army's main force to set up camp on a desolate plain.
Inside the large tent, Nathan chatted with Hepburn and the War Gods from various countries while sipping hot soup. Hepburn said with a smile, "I never expected Leopold to be so fearless and win every battle, causing the vampires to be utterly defeated. It is said that he is invincible, leaving even his field train behind for us to carry. He himself, leading thirty thousand Infernal Warriors, has struck deep into the heart of enemy territory like a sharp dagger."
Colin said with a grin, "Hehe! Leopold, the God of War, is truly remarkable. There's a chance we won't even need to lift a finger, as he alone could lead the Infernal Warriors and march straight to the vampire's headquarters." The other War Gods burst into laughter. "Haha! If that's the case, then it would be truly wonderful." Recently, Leopold's frontline forces had been sending back a continuous stream of good news. This eased everyone's tense mood, and suddenly, everyone became incredibly optimistic about the future. Everyone felt that the vampires were nothing special, and that it was only a matter of time before the alliance would annihilate the vampires.
Only when Nathan heard that Leopold had abandoned even his field train, leading thirty thousand Infernal Warriors into battle lightly armed and vigorously pursuing the enemy, he couldn't help but frown. A faint sense of unease began to rise in Nathan's heart. He asked in a deep voice, "Where are Leopold's troops? Colin, send someone to remind him not to get too far separated from the main force, lest something goes wrong."
Colin was stunned. "General Remington is currently winning consecutive battles, and he's striking while the iron is hot. If we send someone to order him to slow down, will that upset him?" Nathan said, "The vampires can't be that weak. It's impossible for them to be defeated by just thirty thousand warriors and forced to flee like rats fleeing a sinking ship. I think there might be something fishy going on. Notify Leopold immediately. Tell him to slow down and wait for the main army to arrive. He cannot go forth recklessly anymore." Colin said, "It might be too late to notify him now." Nathan was taken aback. "What do you mean?" Colin brought out the map and said to Nathan and the others, "General Remington has already led his frontline forces through the Hellfire Canyon, preparing to attack Kushburn, where a large number of vampires are entrenched. Sending someone after General Remington now might be too late. By the time our messenger catches up with him, their troops could already be at the gates of Kushburn." What?
Nathan's expression changed dramatically. He quickly examined the map and realized just how far Leopold had strayed from the main force. Nathan's face turned grim instantly. Fixing his eyes intently on Hellfire Canyon on the map, he said slowly, "It's over. Leopold is in danger."
