Salute To The General -
Chapter 3576 Your Commander In Chief Has Returned
Eugene IV, having deemed the atmosphere just right, seized the opportunity to address the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Cross's death is truly tragic. Having intended to quell the wars within Earth before dealing with the Gods, it's a pity that the vampires failed to appreciate the gesture. Instead, they repaid him with enmity. The vampires will no longer be tolerated. To secure our safety, we must first purge the cancer within. We will eradicate the vampires and avenge Mr. Cross!" Leopold shared a good relationship with Nathan. Thus, he was the first to step forward and express his agreement.
"I agree. These dark scums have become too audacious. They must be eliminated. Give them a taste of their own medicine."
After Leopold expressed his stance, the other allies from Eurasia, as well as those from Remdik, also expressed their agreement to go to war.
Immediately after, Wolfric declared, "Mr. Cross is the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance. The vampires have murdered our commander. It is our duty to avenge him! I second the notion of waging war against the vampires!"
Catherine and her Ariarican allies, too, quickly expressed their intention to wage war against the vampires.
Upon seeing the unanimous agreement to go to war, a triumphant gleam appeared in Eugene IV's eyes. However, he noticed Fang, who had remained silent, beside him.
Thus, he could not help asking, "General Fang, you wouldn't disagree with avenging Mr. Cross, would you?"
Eugene IV thought that Fang, as the Commander-In-Chief of the North Army and Nathan's prized pupil, would undoubtedly be most agitated at the news of Nathan's demise, and would certainly agree to wage war against the vampires. What he absolutely did not expect was that Fang was not as furious as he had imagined. In fact, he seemed a bit too calm.
Instead, Fang said indifferently, "The first commandment of a soldier is to obey orders. I am here on orders to lead my troops in a rescue mission, not to engage in combat operations. Therefore, I shall remain in wait." "What are you waiting for?" Eugene IV asked, bewildered.
Fang looked up. "I'm waiting for orders from my superiors," he said calmly. "If they send an order for a combat mission, I will take action immediately. If there are no orders to fight, then all I can do is wait. I will not act." Eugene IV was filled with shock and fury.
"Coward, weakling," he mocked

Cross! You told me you're his prized pupil. Mr. Cross has been killed by the yampires, and yet you still insist d*mned

man?"
Fang remained unperturbed. "I don't need your affirmation on whether I'm a coward or a man," he said coldly.
Eugene IV scoffed. "It's fine by me if you and your Northern Army are unwilling to join the war. We, the Curia, are willing to lead the charge, to be the first to wage war against the vampires. Moreover, with the support of the Gods of War like Leopold and Admiral Welz, I already have more than enough."
Then, he turned to depart with Wolfric, Leopold, and the other Gods of War, leading their respective troops to officially wage war against the vampire army. However, he was just about to step out of the tent when suddenly, a figure walked in through the entrance, almost colliding into him.
Eugene IV jumped in surprise. "Are you blind? Who let you barge in like this-" he cried, his voice seething with anger. Then, he froze mid-sentence.
His eyes widened in shock, staring at the man who had just entered. "Nathan!" he cried in surprise.
The crowd, including Leopold and Wolfric, all wore similarly surprised expressions as they exclaimed, "Mr. Cross!"
"Commander-in-Chief!"
"My God, Mr. Cross isn't dead. He's come back."
"That's fantastic!"
...
Amidst the cheers of the Gods of
War, Nathan walked in at a leisurely pace under the terrified gaze of Eugene IV. "My old friends, it's been a while," he said with a smile
