Dalton looked seriously at Meryl. "Don't you have anything else. to say?"

Meryl met Dalton's gaze. "If I explain, will you believe me? In the past, when similar things happened, I explained myself, but did any of you ever believe me?" Meryl glanced at Malcolm and Bianca, then slowly shifted her gaze back to Dalton's face.
