280. Tyson - Revenge V

I never saw myself as a father. Fuck. I didn't even think I had it in me to be a good parent. My mom was an absolute nightmare to live with. By the time I moved in with my father and his family, all I knew was that I'd never get married. All that changed when I met Olivia. I wanted her, and I wanted a family with her. Spencer is the fulfillment of the dream we shared.

Mila walks up to the door. "It's this way," she says and walks out.

Before I go to her, I ask Ansel, "Can you find some nails and a hammer for me?"

He doesn't even ask what I need them for. "Sure thing."

Mila waits for me down the hall, next to another room.

For a moment, I get nervous. I've never been inside Olivia's room before. I know that she didn't live here of her own volition, but knowing her, drugs or not, she created a place where she wanted to think she could hide from the world. Mila opens the door for me. "This is where Olivia stayed while she lived here."

Before I enter, I say to her, "Don't even think about leaving. You won't like what we'll do to you when you find you."

"I'm not stupid to run away from Lords. Where will I even go, anyway?" Mila wonders before leaving me alone.

Olivia's room-if I can even call it that is smaller than my office. There's a single bed, a vanity desk, a TV, an old system sound, and a closet. No books. She must have hated not having anything to read. Now that I think about it, I never once saw her read at the farm.

When Rueben and I took her shopping and saw the books and vinyl albums there, I knew she would be interested in them, especially if they had jazz on them. The tricky part was buying them without her or Rueben noticing. Or leaving them in Jasper's room without anyone noticing.

I go to the sound system, curious to see what type of music Olivia listened to while she was here. When my favorite song, Evil, starts to play, I'm taken by surprise. I didn't think she would remember.

While the song plays, I lay on her bed. The window is nearby. She probably lay in the same position as me, listening to the song and looking out the window. What did she think about in those moments? About our son or how I failed her? I grab her pillow and inhale her scent.

Where the fuck is she?

Why the fuck did Rueben scream at her and kick her out? If something happens to her, he will be the next one to be tortured.

Even if I didn't deserve it, I was given a second chance to be with her, and I blew it up because I wasn't capable of having a conversation with her. For fucks' sake, I write romance books. Didn't I learn anything from the males I write about? Frustrated with myself, I get out of bed, go to her old closet, and look inside. Most of the clothes inside are red, which makes me frown. She hates that color-at least, that's what she told me. For sure, Jason forced her to wear those clothes. Lastly, I go to the vanity desk and sit in the chair. Makeup is scattered all over the place, showing that Olivia doesn't care about it.

I'm about to leave when I see something carved below the mirror in the alphabet we invented: *A Magna Maxima.*

Why does it ring a bell to me? Did I read somewhere? Nothing comes to mind, so I keep looking around.

When I don't find anything useful in Olivia's room, I go look for Jason's room. It doesn't take long to find it. The drawers of his desk are thrown on the floor, the contents gone. The closet is open, most of the clothes are missing. By the looks of it, he was in a hurry to take anything of importance with him when he fled with his daddy dear.

Hanging on the wall is a painting of a citadel.

I look around in case Jason missed something, but there is nothing here, so I return to the others.

Leo is still passed out, and Sean is whimpering next to him.

"Let's finish here and go after Mose," I say.

Rueben agrees with me. "Sean was kind enough to tell me where the facility is."

Perfect. From here, we will go directly there.

"I found the nails and the hammer you wanted," Ansel lets me know.

"Good. Let's take them to the living room."

I always knew I wasn't right in the head, but I tried to control myself. Not this time. This time, I'll let everyone see how twisted my mind is. The only ones safe from my madness are my blood-brothers, Olivia, and my son. "What do you plan to do?" Rueben asks.

I thought he'd never ask.

"Nail Leo to the door and Sean to the armchair. Alive, as I want them to deliver a message to Jason-tell me where my son is, or the next ones will be you and your father." With Jason and the Senator, I'll take my time, making them suffer for days before I finally kill them.

If not for Olivia and Mose missing, I'd already be on my way to Washington DC.

Ansel and Rueben hold Leo with his head down while I nail his feet, shoulder, and hands to the door. Next is Sean. Nailing him takes less than a minute. He doesn't even scream.

I take out my knife. "Did I ever tell you that I collect trophies from my enemies?" I say as I remove his eyes. From Leo, I take his ears and tongue.

"Mila, we are leaving," I say after I make sure Sean memoriezed my message to Jason.

Mila comes out from a room with a bag in her hands. "Where are you taking me?" she asks.

"To the Blood Lodge. The Elders will take care of you," Ansel replies.

"I don't want to be a sex slave," Mila protests.

"You won't be," I promise her.

Mila doesn't seem to believe me. Her shoulders drop. "Alright."

I don't have the energy to explain to her the difference between the pornais from the Blood Lodge and the ones from the Celestial Heaven. I'll leave that to the Elders. We leave the same way we entered.

When we are in the car, Rueben receives a text message.

"It's from Reyes. He and his blood-brothers are back."

Perfect timing.

"Send him the facility coordinates and tell them to meet us there," I say.

Rueben starts the car.

*Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.*

This time, my blood-brother and I will be the ones singing this song.
