Rueben takes me by surprise. I didn't think he cared about Olivia, not in the way I and the others did, but I guess I was wrong. It should have been obvious from the moment he got on his knees and licked the cum from the floor, but it could have been all to impress Olivia. She's not here now, and he could have been on board with Yan-especially since he did offer to help with eliminating the Daymars-but Rueben is just as enraged as I am. Olivia might have powers, but it doesn't mean she has to keep being used for the greater good of others when the world owes her everything.

"The Elders were right when they said that hellstars could have powers," Alekos murmurs. "But resurrection? Can you imagine what it could mean for us?"

Another who thinks Olivia is some pawn that can be used by anyone. She is a person with wishes and desires of her own.

Ansel's growls make the phone vibrate. "While Olivia is not the main focus here, I will say this: my blood-brothers and I will do anything to protect her from anyone and anything, including friends, Lords, or family."

Wasp intervenes. "When Olivia decided to return to the farm, I had my doubts, but now I see why she made that choice."

When I get home, I'll have to ask Olivia where she knows Wasp from.

"But Indy," Yan insists. "Let me talk to Oliva. I'm sure I can convince her to help me."

I shake my head. "After Indy, who will be next? Levi? How many more will follow?"

Cirro, who has been quietly observing until now, says, "If my woman would have such powers, I would have her put an end to grief. Imagine how many people die before they have a chance to live."

Rueben, Ansel, and I scoff at the same time. "When you fall in love with someone who gave all their life, and you no longer want to see them suffer, then come talk to me. And we are done talking about Olivia!" I make it clear that my bonded is not some circus freak.

Apparently, Reyes is not done talking about the matter as he adds, "But imagine being able to bring back those we...lost."

It seems that I need to be more clear. "What about your woman?" Alekos and Reyes put their hands on their guns. "Doesn't she have powers?"

"She doesn't, and even if she did, we would not put her in danger by revealing what she can do," Alekos makes it more than clear that his woman is everything to him.

I doubt Angel has no powers, but we are not here to debate what our hellstars can or can't do. "Glad you understand," I finally put an end to this matter. Yan returns to the window and gets lost in thought. "Back to Maddox," I say. "Like I said, I need him to save Alma," Wasp reminds us.

Rueben has this incredulous look on his face. "Do you even know what he did? He fucking targeted Olivia when she was underage and drugged her!"

"It wasn't like that!" Maddox tries to defend himself.

"How was it then? What if Rueben wasn't at the party?" I ask.

Maddox starts to realize the gravity of his acts. "I kept an eye on Olivia that night. The plan was only to see how the drugs affected her, not to put her in any danger. If I had any other option, I wouldn't have done it, but Azael started mutilating Indy's body, and I would have done anything to stop him from hurting her."

No matter what Maddox says, I can't get over the fact that he told Azael the truth about Olivia. How did Azael know about the bond? Is it because of the glow her body emanated when we bonded? Then he knew that she was a hellstar. "Why didn't you talk to an Elder then? Someone you trusted?" I roar.

Maddox gives me a death glare. "You think I didn't want to? That somehow I took pleasure in following Azael's orders like an obedient dog? I had better things to do on my days off than stalk you and your blood-brothers through the cameras. on your property. But Azael implanted a chip inside my head that allowed him to hear my conversations."

Rin says something that makes me want to stab Maddox in the neck. "Indy died last July, yet you kept spying until now. Why?"

"Finding a way to hack the chip wasn't easy. It was then that Maddox contacted Wasp. He only kept the normal routine to trick Azael," Cole explains.

"None of your excuses are going to save Maddox, you realize that?" I ask.

Wasp replies before Maddox can even open his mouth. "Not long ago, Maddox decided to work with me on a plan that would kill Azael. But bringing down that angel is not that easy. And now with..." She pauses before adding, "Lately, things have not been going as I wanted. But we can join forces."

"Why would we ever do that?" I question her.

"Because I have useful information for the Lords. Not to mention that many anonymous hellstars trust me. Many of them would agree to meet with single Lords if I ask them."

**There are no more Shackled bonuses - in case anyone wonders. And I am sure many wonders how come Angel is not like Olivia etc. Each woman is different and their stories are not the same. I don't like to repeat plot lines or personalities. For me, my characters are real individuals who try living the best life they can. Will Alekos, Stefan, and Reyes ever change? Maybe, but right now I'm with Olivia and her story is very vivid in my head right now. Another thing, if I have a bonus for Olivia as I had for Shackled, I'll make sure to put it between Bought and Trapped so I won't disrupt the Emily's story. Also, after Emily, I have one more Lord story - Freed. As for the Dukes, I have several planed (3-4) and then I have the Experiments as well. Next update will be in 2 days.**
