"I've known for months. More than a year, actually," Mrs. Walker replied softly. "I just.. I didn't want to force it. I wanted you. to trust me enough to tell me yourself."
Emma bit her lip, the words tangled up in her throat. She didn't know where to start, how to explain the painful memories she had locked away. Mrs. Walker's gaze held hers, patient and kind, and after a heavy sigh, Emma felt the floodgates open.
"You're free to tell me everything." Mrs. Walker said gently, reaching out to squeeze Emma's hand. "I won't judge you Emma. I'm so grateful you're here, and so lucky to have met you when I did."
With tears beginning to blur her vision, Emina finally spoke, the pain and bitterness she had buried for years spilling out She shared everything about her relationship with Alexander... the betrayal, the heartbreak, the loss. Each word dragged old wounds to the surface, and emotions she'd tried to bury rose, overwhelming her. She choked back a sob, her voice wavering as she confessed every painful detail.
Mrs. Walker moved closer, pulling Emma into her arms. She held her tightly, letting her cry as the painful memories poured out, silent tears of her own gathering as she realized just how much Emma had suffered. She marveled at the strength it had taken for Emma to endure all of this and still remain so gentle, so loving
"You're incredible, Emma" Mrs. Walker whispered, her voice full of admiration. "You're the strongest woman I've ever known." She held Emma close, "I'm so sorry that I wasn't there with you through all those times." Mrs. Walker said, her voice choked with remorse.
Emma managed a small, bitter laugh as she wiped her tears. "How could you have known? We were strangers back then." Mrs. Walker shook her head, her own tears spilling over. "Strangers or not, I wish I had found you sooner. Her words trailed off into quiet sobs as she clung to Emma, her tears soaking into Emma's shoulder.
"Mrs. Walker?" Emma murmured, her concern growing as she pulled back to look at her. Mrs. Walker's face was filled with anguish, and there was something in her eyes... something Emina had never seen before.
"I've been holding this in for a year." Mrs. Walker whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I didn't want to hurt you."
Emma's heart pounded. "What do you mean?"
Mrs. Walker took a deep breath and handed Emma a thick file, her hand trembling as she released it. Rising slowly, she forced a smile. "Take this, Emma. Look through it when you're ready. I. I need to rest now. Goodnight, dear." She gave a small nod and left the room. Emma stared down at the file, feeling a sense of foreboding. Her hands shook as she opened it, her eyes scanning the pages. taking in the names, the connections, the secrets woven into each document. But nothing in her life had prepared her for the truth that lay before her, unfolding with each page. The revelation hit her like a tidal wave, shaking her to the core

Days turned into nights, but the pain didn't fade. Returning to work she wore a mask of normalcy, pretending she was still pregnant. And within her sorrow, a desperate plan began to form
One evening, Mrs. Walker rushed into Cecilia's hospital. Mrs. Walker, accompanied by her younger sister who waited outside the delivery room, was in labor with twins. Cecilia and a young murse, who she'd confided in, were assigned to Mrs. Walker's care. For days, they had taken note of Mrs. Walker's pregnancy, knowing she was expecting two babies. When the time came, Mrs. Walker gave birth to identical twin girls, but only one was declared alive. The other was pronounced dead. But what Mrs. Walker didn't know was that both babies had survived.
With the help of the young nurse, Cecilia took the second twin, carefully hiding her from everyone else. A few weeks later, fearing discovery, she resigned from the hospital, returned to her home country, and presented the child to her boyfriend as his own. They married soon after, but Cecilia's happiness was short-lived; tragically, she passed away before her daughter could even celebrate her first birthday.

Emma sat on the floor, clutching the file'as she flipped through each page, her heart breaking piece by piece. Tears streamed down her cheeks as the truth of her life unraveled before her, shattering everything she thought she knew. Mrs. Walker, the woman she'd met by chance in a flower shop... wasn't a stranger at all. She was her BIRTH MOTHER. And Diana Diana was her twin sister. The realization hit her like a tidal wave, all this time, she had unknowingly been living in her true home, surrounded by her real family, yet feeling like an outsider.
Emma's mind raced. She thought of her father, a man who had loved her as his own, dying without knowing the truth of her heritage. His marriage built was on lies, and he went to his graven clueless man. The resemblance to Diana that she had always brushed off as coincidence was no accident, wasn't just a coincidence they were related
