Cherry Literature Network was attacked by a hacker. Multiple titles, including "Lockwood's Detective Diary", were either garbled or deleted. The site was unable to return to normal. The second part of "Lockwood's Detective Diary" was completely deleted and could not be restored. The readers were devastated.

After Athena received the news, she turned on her computer and tracked down the hacker and the program used. At the same time, she restored the garbled or deleted novels.

She suspected the hackers were after the second part of "Lockwood's Detective Diary" to stop her from continuing the serialization of "The Mystery of the Missing Young Genius". After all, this novel had a huge impact on Joy. Joy had to take action.

Across the city, a program deleting anything associated with the words "Zilvia Donovan" also discovered a program was trying to restore the second part of "Lockwood's Detective Diary". Hence, Joy started attacking the program.

While Joy and Athena were facing each other off online, Josie had just participated in a cameo performance by a foreign youth art troupe and was being driven home by Daniel. Josie was already a rather famous singer. It was especially so after she was invited to Yundara last year to participate in "Star Quest" and was received by the royal family. Many foreign singers and renowned artists knew her now. Some foreign singers would invite her to attend events or act in Osceiton, especially when she performed in West End. This time, Josie had a cameo role in the art troupe's children's play, and the performance ended at around nine in the evening. It was not too late for Josie, so she wasn't tired at all.

As for Daniel, ever since the Donovan family moved into the new mansion, he became Josie's full-time driver, responsible for driving Josie every day.

At this moment, Josie was sitting in the back of the car, eating snacks and watching cartoons.

Logically speaking, there shouldn't be a traffic jam at this time, but for some reason, there were always cars blocking them tonight. They drove slowly, which caused Daniel to have no choice but to drive slowly too. There was even a collision. The drivers even got into a fierce brawl, causing the road in front to be obstructed. Daniel's car happened to be in the middle lane and he was trapped.

Seeing that it was already ten o'clock at night, Daniel had no choice but to say to Josie, "Josie, are you tired? If you're tired, sleep first. I'll wake you up when we get home."

Daniel drove a high-end version of the second-generation Miracle. The car was very well equipped. Even if one slept in the car, it would be very comfortable too. It would not be worse than lying on the bed. Josie yawned. "Alright, I'll go to sleep first. Call me when we're home, Daniel."

Then, she lay down and covered herself with a blanket. With "Guardian" in her arms, she fell asleep.

By the time the accident in front was resolved and the road was smooth sailing once more, it was almost 11 p.m.

After driving for a few minutes, Daniel reached an intersection. He didn't know what was going on at this intersection, but the traffic light remained red. He waited several minutes, but the red light didn't turn green. Some drivers couldn't wait anymore and ran the red light.

Daniel also wanted to do the same, but he had already become honest and did not dare to do so. He had no choice but to turn right and prepare to take a long detour back.

The detour led them to a secluded street. The street was under development, and the houses on both sides had been demolished. New houses had not been built yet, so no one lived there at night.

Daniel was about to drive through the street in one go when several cars suddenly appeared in front of him and blocked his way.

He looked behind them. There were also a few cars following them. When he stopped, those cars also stopped. He looked left and right again. People had emerged from the darkness around them and were closing in on them. He thought, 'Great. We're surrounded.'

"Daniel, why did we stop?" Josie seemed to have realized something was wrong. She opened her eyes in a daze and sat up. "Are we home?"

"We haven't reached home yet because we were stopped by bad guys," Daniel smiled, "Josie, are you afraid? If you are, close your eyes and don't look."

Josie blinked. "I have a guardian angel. I'm not afraid. Daniel, are you afraid?"

Daniel scoffed, "Who am I? I'm a hero. Why would I be afraid of bad guys?" He patted his chest and shouted heroically, "Just you wait. I'll capture these bad guys and Send them to the police station."

As he spoke, the doors of the cars surrounding them opened. More than ten burly men with masked faces got out and surrounded Miracle with their accomplices who appeared from the shadows.

Daniel took a look. He thought, 'Wow, there must be at least 20 to 30 of them. Do they think I'll be afraid if they outnumber me? I have trained in combat for a few years too.'

He reminded Josie, "I'll go down and fight the bad guys. You stay in the car and watch. No matter what happens, don't get out of the car. Get it?"

Josie nodded obediently. "I won't get out of the car if I can't beat the baddies. Daniel, be careful."

Daniel chuckled and pounded his chest with his fist. He opened the door, got out of the car, and closed the door.

"Who is the best fighter amongst you? Come out and fight me one-on-one." He interlocked his fingers and cracked his knuckles. He even shook his head in a handsome gesture.

One of the thugs said, "I've just been released from prison. My highest record is winning a fight against fifteen men. I'll play with you, sport."

The thug stepped forward and threw

a punch at Daniel. Daniel tilted his head and dodged. He also threw a powerful punch at the thug. They began exchanging blows while the others watched from the side.

A minute later, the fight ended. Daniel was beaten to the ground and his head was stepped on by his opponent. He tried to struggle, but it was useless.

The thug looked down at Daniel coldly. He ordered the others, "Get that girl out of the car."

Daniel shouted, "What do you want to do to Josie? She's only eight years old. She can't have offended you. Come at me if you want."

The thug said indifferently, "She didn't offend us, but her brother-in-law offended our superior. We can only settle this score with her."

Daniel retorted, "What exactly are you going to do to her? Hurting such a young child is a serious crime. You wouldn't merely spend the rest of your life in jail."

The thug said, "We won't do anything to her. We just want her to be unable to sing anymore."

Josie's most outstanding talent was her voice. If her vocal cords were damaged, she would never be able to sing beautifully again.

Moreover, such injury was considered light. Even if they were exposed in the future, the punishment they would receive would not be very great.

With that, a burly man went over to

open the door of Miracle. When he couldn't open it, he raised the

baseball bat in his hand and

smashed the car door. However, his efforts were in vain.

Seeing this, his accomplices also took out their wooden clubs and started pounding on Miracle. Still, it was useless.

"What the hell?" one of the thugs swore angrily, "Get out of the way. I'll pick the lock."

The thug stepping on Daniel threw a phone in front of Daniel and ordered, "Tell the girl to come out or we'll cut off her hands in front of her."

Daniel took a deep breath. "Let me go and I'll call her."

After the thug moved away his foot, Daniel grabbed the phone and stood up unsteadily.
