He reminded Josie, "I'll go down and fight the bad guys. You stay in the car and watch. No matter what happens, don't get out of the car. Get it?"

Josie nodded obediently. "I won't get out of the car if I can't beat the baddies. Daniel, be careful."

Daniel chuckled and pounded his chest with his fist. He opened the door, got out of the car, and closed the door.

"Who is the best fighter amongst you? Come out and fight me one-on-one." He interlocked his fingers and cracked his knuckles. He even shook his head in a handsome gesture.

One of the thugs said, "I've just been released from prison. My highest record is winning a fight against fifteen men. I'll play with you, sport."

The thug stepped forward and threw

a punch at Daniel. Daniel tilted his head and dodged. He also threw a powerful punch at the thug. They began exchanging blows while the others watched from the side.

A minute later, the fight ended. Daniel was beaten to the ground and his head was stepped on by his opponent. He tried to struggle, but it was useless.

The thug looked down at Daniel coldly. He ordered the others, "Get that girl out of the car."

Daniel shouted, "What do you want to do to Josie? She's only eight years old. She can't have offended you. Come at me if you want."

The thug said indifferently, "She didn't offend us, but her brother-in-law offended our superior. We can only settle this score with her."

Daniel retorted, "What exactly are you going to do to her? Hurting such a young child is a serious crime. You wouldn't merely spend the rest of your life in jail."

The thug said, "We won't do anything to her. We just want her to be unable to sing anymore."
