Jacob's expression grew awkward and unnatural. "In any case, I still worked hard to bring all three of you up. You can't just sit back and not care about me, right?"

Jasper said, "How do you want us to care for you?"

"The two million dollar fine is just a drop in the ocean for the three of you. So pay it up for me."

Jasper was indignant now and retorted, "Hmph! Don't you know that Jay already knows you're not a descendant of an Ares? Now the three of us don't know how much longer we're allowed to stay in the Ares household. We need to keep some money for emergencies."

"But I'd prefer to think that you merely cut ties with them to protect them. That way, the Ares family will sympathize with them and keep them in the Ares family."

"Your imagination is beyond my comprehension, Jenson Ares. I killed their mother, so what makes you think I care about what happens to them?"

Jenson said, "If it were any other people, they would probably believe your words. But I'm different. I was doted on by my daddy and cared for by my mommy, so I believe that there's a high probability that paternal love is selfless."
