Upon hearing that question, Carmen began averting her gaze. She did not dare to look at her son in the

cye.

Recalling her past dealings with Aiden, Carmen felt a wave of regret. How can I be so gullible to trust a smooth talker like him?

Carmen continued to avoid making eye contact with her son, but since he kept pressing her for an answer, she had no choice but to come clean. In a sheepish voice, she replied. "Two hundred million. That b*stard said he wanted to borrow two hundred million from me to start a business, so I lent him the money right away."

Upon hearing the amount scammed was two hundred million, Lucas heaved a sigh of relief. Even though he was a little upset about it, he was pleased that they still had more than eight billion in their account. As long as I stay away from any casino, I still can lead a comfortable life.
