Chapter 960 Kate Abuses Stanley

Stanley picked up the instant noodles on the table. Then, he shifted his gaze to the plate of untouched food on the table and swallowed.

"Instant noodles are too hard to eat in the morning, Ms. Sutton. Can I have that instead?" he asked with an imploring look, pointing at the plate of food that should have been Alex's.

That plate of food earlier wasn't dirty at all! He could not fathom why Kate discarded his breakfast, claiming that it was dirty.

Verily, he did not feel like eating hard instant noodles. Anyway, Daddy has left for some urgent work matters, and his breakfast is going to go cold if it isn't eaten soon. For that reason, he set his sights on his father's food.

Pulling Alex's plate over, Kate eyed Stanley warily and huffed, "What a heartless ingrate! Your daddy loves you so much, yet you want to eat his breakfast. What if he comes back nothing to eat? Don't you know to soak the instant noodles if you find it too har even do this much after being used to living a pampered life, you'll only be a sp when you grow up!"

At her lecture, Stanley hung his head low, at a loss for a rebuttal.

Just then, his stomach growled. Snagging the instant noodles on the table, he instinctiv glanced at the plate of food in front of Kate.

The latter had a bountiful fare for breakfast that included a heart-shaped fried egg, a sandwich that looked incredibly appetizing, and a bowl of pumpkin oatmeal.

He was starving and wanted a proper breakfast rather than instant noodles, but his food had been tossed away. As such, he was left with the instant noodles in his hand.

In order to fill his stomach, he could only head to the kitchen with the packet of instant noodles. Unfortunately, he could not reach the kettle because of his height. Left with not other choice, he could only haul a chair over and climb on it before placing the instant noodles into a bowl and soaking it in hot water.

He was exceedingly careful while at it, so he did not scald his hands. Carrying the hot bowl, he persisted all the way to the dining table.

When Kate saw that he had truly cooked the packet of instant noodles, shock swamped her. Argh! He actually didn't get scalded!

After breakfast, Kate merely wiped her mouth without making a move to clear the tableware.

Casting a gaze at Stanley, who was still eating instant noodles, she ordered, "You're the last person to finish eating, so wash everything when you're done."

Stanley bit his lower lip before nodding. That was the first time he had to do so many things. himself. Inwardly, he told himself that he was already six years old and was a man in his own. right.

Nonetheless, he still felt somewhat aggrieved to be treated in such a manner. An indescribable feeling overwhelmed him.

Although his grandmother did not like him much back when he was at the Jennings residence, she never asked him to do house chores or had him eat instant noodles.

In fact, she even bought him snacks when she was in a good mood sometimes.

Later, when he lived with Maggie, he basically enjoyed a life of luxury. She took care of him meticulously in all aspects, treating him even better than his own mother did.

When Stanley had finished eating the instant noodles, he suppressed the tears threatening to escape his eyes, reminding himself continuously that he was a man and had to be brave.

He carried the tableware into the kitchen. Not knowing how to operate the automatic. dishwasher, he decided to wash everything by hand.

Short in stature due to his age, he had no other recourse but to use a chair. The instant he turned on the faucet, water splashed everywhere. Stepping too hard, he fell off the chair. At the same time, the plates and bowls hit the floor.
