Scott: Remember!

Corey gasps. He’s a boy the same age as Liam and Masson. We’re pretty sure he’s a chimera, so Scott’s trying to get him to remember where the Doctors’ shed is so we can find Liam and Hayden.

Me: Okay Scott, let’s give him two minutes to think and you calm down outside, okay?

My brother nods and we leave the room, leaving Masson and Lydia with Corey.

When I turn my head towards Scott, he’s holding his head down with both hands. I go over and put my hand on his back.

Me: We’re going to find him, okay? I’d know if he was dead, remember?

He nods. I don’t tell him I feel Liam’s pain, though. I don’t know what they’re doing to him, but he’s in a lot of pain. Lydia joins us, gently closing the bedroom door with the two boys inside.

Lydia: Let’s get Corey to read the book.

Scott: Good idea

Lydia: Hannah, shouldn’t we try and get you to have a premonition?

Me: I tried, but those things don’t come on command.

Lydia: I know, we should still go to Liam’s, it could be useful.

Scott: Good idea, I’ll stay with the others. Let us know if there’s any news.

Me: You too

I smile at him and teleport Lydia and I to Liam’s room. His parents are at work at this time of night and he thinks we’re going out with our mates after sleeping at my place.

Lydia hands me a different object but I have no premonition. She approaches the dirty laundry bin but I stop her.

Me: Forget it

She sighs and I look at her sports equipment. He’s really into lacrosse so it might work. I take his waistcoat but nothing happens, neither does his bat or his waistcoat. I end up with an old glove that’s broken because his claws have punctured the ends.

I stick my hand inside, which slips easily because of my small hands, and that’s it. I can see it. It’s a big rocky place on all sides except one where it’s a fence that goes all the way up to the ceiling. I manage to see Liam and Hayden, pressed up against each other, each with a wound that makes them suffer.

When I come to, Lydia is looking at me with a big smile.

Me: I know where they are

Lydia: Go on, I’ll warn the others.

I smile at her before teleporting away. I don’t need to know where they are geographically with my powers. I just need to know where they are, and the images I’ve seen are enough for me to see Liam and Hayden.

Me: Hey!

I whisper, afraid someone will hear me. They look at me and smile. However, I can’t teleport myself into their cells. I look down and see a gold plaque. I look up at the sky and put my hands on the grate.

Me: AIE!

I withdraw. I look at the two idiots inside who have forgotten a certain detail.

Me: Weren’t you tempted to warn me?

Liam: I… I told you but you’re deaf…

Well, I’m calling the only person who can help me in this situation.

Theo: Hannah?

Me: I’m teleporting you

I make him come to me

Theo: Where are we?

Me: Who cares? Open this gate but be careful, it’s electrified.

Theo : Why did you ask me ? Do you finally trust me?

Poor guy, he seems so happy

Me : Sorry, no. It’s just that I could care less if you get hurt than if it’s my pack.

Well, yes. I don’t love him, but I do have a heart!

He rips off the grate with great difficulty and I run back to my friends. I manage to look after them, then turn to Theo

Me: Thanks

Theo: No problem, Hannah, just call me back when you/

Me: Yeah

I send him home and pick up my phone again.

Me: Scott. I’ve found him. They’re fine.

Scott: Way to go Hannah! We’re waiting for you at home!

I hang up and give Liam a hug, then Hayden. I’m glad they’re okay, although Hayden seems to be panicking. Let’s hope the next few days go better now.
