Chapter 189

Marilyn asked Stephanie to buy some booze

Sebastian decided to go with Stephanie.

They walked out of the house side by side

There was a small supermarket nearby, and Stephanie led the way straight into it

“Silver Fox, what kind of booze do you want to drink?”

Sebastian’s face looked a bit strange and said, “Do I have to?”

“You tell me

Sebastian’s mouth twitched, “Whatever they like to drink. I’m easy.”

“Silver Fox, you have to get back to work in the afternoon, don’t you? They all like strong liquor, do you usually drink it? Can you handle it?”

“No problem, just once in a while, it’s okay.”

Sebastian didn’t expect that having this meal would be so lively.

But he didn’t dislike it at all.

Instead, he felt that these neighbors were very simple and plain. The feeling of communicating with them was something he’d never experienced before Everyone looked at the booze Stephanie brought back, smiling eagerly, “Steph, you bought such good booze!”

Stephanie laughed, “Of course! You guys sit down first, I’m going to get some fruit ready”

Stephanie put the booze in the yard and then went into the house

Sebastian, however, was bombarded with questions from a group of people

He felt at a loss

“You’re such a handsome young man What do you do for a living?”

Sebastian casually said, “1 work for a listed company…”

“That’s really impressive Steph must be very happy”

Even though they didn’t know what a listed company was, it sounded very impressive to them.

“Exactly! We’ve watched Steph grow up. She’s so polite and sensible, able to handle everything at a young age, and she’s smart, too. Her mom taught her well!”

“Are you a local?*

Sebastian replied, “Yes”

Do you own a house?”

“Yes”

“Did you buy a car?”

“Yes”

“You really are a young and promising lad. Your family must be pretty well–off, huh?”

It’s okay”

Stephanie came out with the fruit platter in hand, and almost tripped and fell when she heard that.

Fortunately, Sebastian was quick to catch her

She looked up at Sebastian and saw that he didn’t look upset, so she breathed a sigh of relief and whispered in his ear, “Silver Fox, don’t get mad. They don’t mean any offense. That’s just how everyone talks around here”

Sebastian smiled faintly. “It’s fine”

It was the first time in his life he had ever encountered a situation like this, and he found it quite interesting.
