Chapter 93: I will protect you

"You don't have to keep on saying that, what if someone heard it"

"Hannah, I don't care if anyone hears it, my parents already know how I feel about you so no one can be able to change my mind, but the one thing I can assure you is that this time around the enemy will not succeed in whatever he was planning to do. he will not get to you or anyone in my family"

"You sound so sure"

That's because I won't let it happen, I am going to protect you"

Hannah rolled her eyes, she just didn't know why they were going over and over this again when she had already told him that it wasn't just about how he needed to protect her, but he also needed to protect everyone else who was around him as well.

"It is very nice of you to protect me, but then, you also have to worry about the rest of them that way I won't be laughing as if I am trying to take you away from them"

"Alright"

"I'll be in my room" Hannah turned around to leave, he quickly held her hand, and she looked up at him wondering what he was doing. "what is it?"

"Why don't you stay over?"

"Shawn, you know that's not possible"

"I am begging you, I really want you to stay over. it has been a while since I got to spend time with you, and besides ever since we got here, you haven't really been that close. it has been one problem after the other"

Staring into his eyes she knows he was right, ever since they got to his pack, the bond that they shared had suddenly strained and their relationship was getting cold. it wasn't just because of him, but she was the problem, she wasn't really happy with everything that was happening, Shawn on his own part was trying his very best to make sure that she was happy and to make her realize that he will always choose her as his mate, but then, she was the one who keeps pushing him away because she doesn't want her family to think that she took him away from them.

"You have done your very best for me"

"And you have done the same for me as well"

"No, I haven't, I have been hard on you the past few days that will be here and I know that I shouldn't do that to you since you are trying your very best as well and this must be hard for you. it is not every day you wake up and have to choose between your mother and a woman that you love, or you have to choose between your pack, your family, and your mate, no one wants to be in that situation at all and definitely I understand. you have tried so much for me, and I'm sorry that I haven't been able to show you how grateful I am to you, but then, I don't think I really want you to Misunderstand them anymore because of me"

"So what are you saying?" Shawn certainly hoped she wasn't thinking of ever telling him to let her go because he was not going to ever let her go. he was madly in love with her, and even his wolf though silent when it came close to her loved her.

"Nothing, I wasn't going to say anything, you think I was going to tell you to let me go. I already know that you won't let me go even if I tell you to so there is no point in saying it when it won't work"

"It's a good thing you know that already, so stay the night over, I won't touch you if you won't let me"

"Shawn, I wasn't going to let you touch me" she stated and rolled her eyes which only made him laugh. it has been a while since then gotten so cheesy with each other.

"Do you miss it?"

"Miss what?" Hannah was not quite sure what he wanted to say.

"Do you miss Garden City? do you miss our house? do you miss our time there?"

Hannah stared into space, she could not deny that she missed her house, their house together and how she had worked almost every day heading to the office just so she could earn the salary that she would have to send to the doctor for her mother's health and then she will use the rest to take care of her family with him. the people in the Office, her boss. the only people that she never missed were Mike and Ashley, she was happy that you were finally out of her life and she could breathe.

"I mean our time together, everything we did not get to do in Garden City I hope you can do it here"

"Things like what?"

"We never got to watch a movie together in Garden City because of my busy schedule and most times when I got back home, you were already asleep and I was exhausted, the few times you were not asleep you were out of the house and I was worried sick about you wondering where you must have gone to, I was worried not knowing that you are going to have to meet up with your friend"

"I remember this one time that we went to the restaurant and I ordered a lot of food and you got to pay for it all"

Hannah laughed at the memory, of course, she remembered it all. That was the day she had received the first salary and Shawn almost finished up everything in her account, but the restaurant had to give them a discount. ""You could eat a lot you know"

"I wonder what would happen if there was no discount"

"It was a good thing you went to pull some strings from behind otherwise my account would have been empty and I wouldn't have had cab fare"

"Stay with me tonight"

"I'll stay with you because It's lonely in my room"
