Chapter 192

Mia was increasingly sensing something was off in her husband's words. Then, she wedged herself between them, separating Chad and her husband's hands. "Chad, we gotta bounce. Catch you later." Mia said.

Pulling her husband by the hand, Mia loaded him into the car.

This was the first time in Andre's life that his wife had shoved him into the car so dismissively. Jade was completely puzzled, but she hid behind Chad, whispering that something was wrong with Mia's husband.

Chad, too, took Jade's hand, turned around, and got into the car. Instead of going home, he went to the scar department of the hospital.

Inside the car, Mia's anger was palpable, even without her uttering a word, Leo in the backseat could feel it. He was thinking to himself, did he piss her off?

Leo stared at Andre, who was driving. Did Andre do something to piss her off? Then he looked again at the angry woman in the co-driver's seat, her arms crossed. She was as moody as ever, was she on her period or something?

In the car, Andre also sensed that he was sitting next to a ticking time bomb. A word from him would set it off. So he kept his mouth shut, too scared to speak.

Once home, before getting out of the car, Mia didn't look at her husband. She just ordered him, "You, wait for me in the study!"

Andre was speechless.

Leo frowned. Looking at the furious woman, he whispered to Andre, "Who was she bossing around just now, you or me?" Andre shot back, "Do you have a study at home?"

Leo said, "Oh man! Mia really wears the pants at home, huh? She's actually shouting at you and ordering you around?!"

Taking a deep breath, Andre tossed the car keys to Leo, "Lock up."

For the first time, he knew the fear of being summoned to the study to admit his mistakes. He was a little nervous and uneasy. So this was how his employees felt every time they were summoned to his office. It was an uncomfortable feeling. He decided he should be more affable and forgiving to them in the future.

He arrived at the study and knocked on the door.

"Come in." His wife finally spoke.

Andre pushed the door open, spotting the little girl leaning against his desk. He walked in and closed the door. "Mia, I was planning to tell you all this when we got home."

"So you couldn't help but tell Chad at school that Jade might be your sister?" Mia asked.

Mia was pissed off. Her husband had told her he believed Jade wasn't his sister, but then he turned around and told the Byrne family that Jade was his sister.

How could she not be mad? He had even kept this from his own wife!

Andre said, "The blood test results are out. Jade's blood type was A when she was born, but her medical record lists her blood type as O. I know you're upset with me right now, and you think I'm a jerk trying to tear your friend's family apart. If it turns out that Jade is my sister, you won't know how to interact with her. So, Mia, don't be rash, let me explain."

Mia's fists were clenched tightly. Afraid of his wife's outburst, Andre pointed at her clenched hand, "Relax your hand, and let me explain. The Byrne family had a daughter named Jade, but she disappeared for some reason, and every year, Mr. and Mrs. Byrne would disappear for a day."

"How dare you say my friend is dead! Andre, you're pissing me off!" Mia said. Every time she couldn't win an argument and got angry, she wanted to go at it with the other person.

Andre, who was the big shot behind The Silent Ring, was getting his ass kicked by his wife in his own study. Eventually, he caught his wife's hand and looked into her eyes, "Mia, Molly had a bite mark on her left arm, have you ever seen one on Jade's?" Mia kicked her husband hard in the foot. "No!" She yelled at her husband in anger.

Andre endured the pain in his foot and held his wife in his arms.

Mia struggled but couldn't break free. Then, she lifted her leg, aiming for her husband's weakest spot. She was a brave girl, she could even risk her happiness for the rest of her life.

That was the kind of girl Mia was. She lifted her leg and successfully attacked her husband!

Andre let go of his wife in pain, bending slightly. He looked at his wife who escaped his embrace, "Mia! Do you realize what you just did?"

Mia said, "Why do you hold me when I'm angry? Do you think if you hold me and kiss me when I'm angry, I'll calm down? Listen, when I'm angry, no one touches me!"

Andre felt pain in his abdomen, he took a deep breath and looked at his hot-tempered wife. He closed his eyes and reminded himself, "I married her, I married her, I did!"

Her husband seemed to be in real pain. Mia only knew that the last person who was in so much pain was Leo. Could it be, that place was really that sensitive for men? She looked at where her husband's hand was covering, the corner of her mouth twitched, "Stop pretending, I didn't kick you that hard. It doesn't hurt."

She tilted her head slightly, then looked at her husband's pained expression. She thought, "Oh my god, I didn't really hurt my husband, did I?!"

She was a bit panicked, blinked quickly at her husband, and hurriedly came over, "Honey, honey, don't scare me. I'm going to call an ambulance now, if you can't stand the pain, we'll go to the hospital immediately."

Mia, mom is watching me from heaven. I have to bring Molly to her grave."

At this point, Mia had completely forgotten about Jade and Molly. All she cared about was that she had hurt her husband. She said, "Hun, should we head to the hospital? Leo once took two days off straight."

Andre's temples throbbed, "Don't tell me that you were the one who wounded Leo that time!"

This time, Mia slipped up. How did her husband know so much?

To express her unwavering love for her husband, and her decision to stand by him forever, Mia promised, "Babe, relax. Even if you can't perform like a man anymore, I won't leave you.
