Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance -
Chapter 531
Colleen listened intently as her daughter Molly slowly shared her thoughts, not once interrupting her.
Once Molly finished, Colleen asked with concern, "Are you sure about him? You're still so young."
The determination in Molly's eyes only grew stronger as she met her mother's gaze. "I'm sure. Besides him, there aren't many guys who can both protect me and handle me. I'm calm about this, Mom. Really sure. It's him!"
...
In the hotel, Molly, her cheeks flushed like ripe peaches, recounted her afternoon conversation to Chad.
After she finished speaking, Chad's eyes narrowed slightly. His Adam's apple bobbed as he spoke in a deep, restrained voice, fighting his inner demons. "Anything else?"
Molly whispered back, "No, that's everything."
Without warning, Chad cupped the back of Molly's head and planted a fierce kiss on her lips while they were both fully aware.
Molly's eyes widened in shock. Hadn't they agreed no kisses if she told the truth?
She had confessed!
Yet, she was kissed again!
Her hands pressed against Chad's waist, trying to push him away, but they were no match for his strength. His excitement only added to his power, leaving Molly with no choice but to accept his passionate kiss. "Mmmff..."
Molly wanted to cough from the intensity of the kiss, but found herself unable to.
She didn't enjoy this kiss at all.
If it weren't for a phone call, Molly wasn't sure how long she would have been kissed.
The urgent ringtone of a team member's call snapped Chad back to reality. He released Molly, still tasting her on his lips.
As soon as she was free, Molly stepped back, her face a deep shade of red, her eyes blazing, and her lips a more vibrant red than any lipstick could provide.
Chad answered the call, but his eyes remained fixed on Molly as she stood there, visibly annoyed. "Hello?"
Disgusted, Molly wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, spat into a nearby trash can, and muttered, "Yuck, disgusting."
She grabbed a bottle of mineral water from the hotel, took a swig, swished it around her mouth, and spat it out into the trash can again.
She repeated the process several times, all under Chad's watchful eye. "Yeah, I'll be back soon," he said into the phone.
After hanging up, Chad approached Molly, who had used half the bottle just rinsing her mouth.
"All clean now?" he asked.
Molly took another sip of water, spat it out defiantly into the trash can in front of Chad, and yelled, "No!"
Quickly, Chad caught her head again and kissed her with even more force than before.
"Chad, you jerk...mmph!"
Molly's remaining half-bottle of water ended up poured over Chad, but he didn't let go.
This kiss was shorter; Chad had to return to his team duties.
After kissing Molly, he left her fuming but with a teasing smile, "Rinse again, there's another bottle on the table."
Molly was fuming!
Chad, pressed for time, left without changing his wet clothes. Before he left, he told Molly, "Don't wander off. Wait for me; I've extended our hotel stay for another week."
Once he was gone, Molly shouted at the door, "Do I look like I have no brain? Just because you say don't run, I won't run? I'll run!"
She looked at the bottle on the table and wiped her lips again, "Disgusting."
So, she used the bottle to rinse her mouth once more, and even opened a new toothbrush from the hotel to brush her teeth.
Back at base, Chad's teammates noticed his wet waistline. "Captain, what happened?"
Chad spoke fondly, "Molly's in a bad mood. She made a mess."
In the evening, Molly returned to the Cedillo household.
Mia, now enthusiastically greeting family members at the door with her baby boy Henry, thought he looked like a little mascot with his chubby cheeks.
Before leaving, everyone had to cuddle him; his crib was conveniently located in the Cedillo's living room.
Upon returning, they'd cuddle him again.
So, Mia waited at the door with her son in her arms.
"Ah, our dear Miss has finally come home." Mia lifted her son to show Molly, "Son, pay attention to your aunt. She owes you a New Year's gift!"
Molly was taken aback, more by the mention of gifts than by the recognition.
She snatched the little bundle from her sister's arms, looking at him as he contentedly didn't cry or fuss.
"Mia, how has Andre been feeling lately?"
"Pretty good, except he's unhappy about you and Chad staying at the hotel. Leo even got a scolding from your uncle for it and was banned from buying a new car for two years," Mia replied.
Since Mrs. Byrne had taken Anya to the library for revisions in her car but hadn't taken Molly, Andre had confronted Leo. "Can't your car fit your aunt to go study with you?"
Leo's explanations were futile, and in the end, Andre forbade him from even thinking about a new car for two years.
Molly usually returned to the Cedillo household cheerful, but this time, she felt the pressure mount with each family member she met.
It wasn't long before Andre got home. Seeing his sister, he asked, "Finished with exams?"
Molly nodded, "All done, Andre."
Andre, holding his son on the sofa, suggested, "Stay at home now that you're done. Visit the Byrnes after the New Year."
Molly didn't dare make a sound.
Hansen, recently taking up online shopping, was taught by Mia to indulge in addictive activities.
Before, any needed items were simply requested from the housekeeper or delivered with a phone call.
Now hooked on shopping, Hansen spent his days with his phone, "Darling, you're back. Help your dad figure this out. Should I buy this massage chair? They say it's good for the elderly, but some reviews call it a scam. Tell me if I should go for it." Molly took the phone, and with a cautious tone, she asked again, "Dad, have you been in a good mood lately?"
"Boy, I'm feeling top of the world right now, with more than twenty packages yet to arrive. Every day's a grand day for me," thought Hank, mistaking his daughter's concern as a sign of her affectionate duty. His heart swelled with even more joy. Jade, with her head bowed, muttered under her breath, "That might change in a few days."
When Molly was away, Hank would grab any chance to consult his granddaughter Mia, "Kiddo, do you think this is a scam?"
"Darlin', come help your grandpa out, is this thing a fake?"
"Leo, get your butt over here and give your old man a hand."
But now that his girl was back, he didn't need to bother anyone else.
So, after Molly's return, Hank went ahead and placed another five orders.
Molly couldn't help but remark, "Dad, I see where I got my shopping spree gene from."
