No one would have guessed that the ever-composed Andre would end up with such a crybaby son. But with no other option, he just rolled with it.

Everyone nodded knowingly, saying, "No wonder you're the CEO's right-hand man, and we're just the junior assistants."

Noah proudly chimed in, "Take notes, folks. This is all thanks to Sister Rosa's mentoring."

In the CEO's office, Andre felt drained. Little Henry's teary eyes followed him wherever he went. Sitting in his baby walker, Henry raised his tiny arms, his face scrunched up, silently pleading to be held. After a couple of minutes, Andre gave in and scooped him up.

The cries finally faded. "Let's aim for a three-hour nap and wake up at 2, alright?"

Covered in sweat, Henry clung to his dad.

With Henry nestled in one arm, Andre settled at his desk. With his free hand, he flipped through a document, found it workable, and hastily signed his name.

The little guy on his shoulder crawled a bit before dozing off without a fuss.

It wasn't until later that Andre noticed his son, face tilted, sleeping soundly.

He gently put down his pen, cradled Henry like the treasure he was, and carried him to the back room, placing him on the bed before heading out.

Meanwhile, Mia had squeezed in some time to accompany Molly to the hospital for a check-up. On the way, Molly was glued to her phone. "Waiting for Chad to call?"

Molly nodded without hesitation, "With Chad's schedule, I guess you'll be my check-up buddy from now on."

Mia replied, "Having your best friend with you is even better than a guy, plus, I've got your back, right?"

Molly confessed, "Still, there's a tiny bit of disappointment. I thought Chad would be there for my first check-up."

Noticing her friend's rare glum mood, Mia casually tossed an arm around Molly's shoulders, "Hey, your baby's still in the early stages. You wouldn't see much on the scan anyway. Chad's being a hero, chasing down a $50 debt for me." "Mia, how do you know Chad's off chasing a $50 debt?" Molly was taken aback; she hadn't mentioned it.

Mia shrugged innocently, "Just a wild guess."

Molly started questioning her life choices.

How did Mia guess that Chad was involved in a counterfeit case?

Mia, puzzled but cheeky, added, "It was an easy guess."

Molly protested, "That's it, you're coming with me to see a neurologist. I think there's something wrong with my brain... wait, my brain's malfunctioning... no, that's not it, my brain's gone haywire..."

Mia blinked, her confusion mirroring her adorable son's, looking at Molly as she berated her own mind.

Normally sharp-tongued, Molly found herself lost for words.

"Molly, I agree, we need to get your brain checked out." So, Mia joined her buddy on a trip to the neurologist.

Over at Maple Hill, Chad's phone was locked away, and he was observing the interrogation from outside, visibly annoyed with the unyielding suspect. He was more on edge than usual.

Even though he tried to act cool, his apprentice noticed something was up. "Boss, what's eating you?"

Chad sighed, "It's the 22nd. Molly's getting a check-up today, and I'm not there."

He had imagined being with Molly for their first child's scan, seeing that little blip on the ultrasound together.

Now, he couldn't even make a call.

"Did Molly's company organize a health check? Coleen will probably go with her, right?"

Chad hadn't let the cat out of the bag about Molly's pregnancy, wanting to wait until it was more stable and not spread the news too soon.

"Yeah, hopefully." Chad glanced at the man in the plaid shirt inside, then asked his apprentice, "Caught the rest yet?"

"Not yet, still working on it. Taylor was supposed to be the contact but slipped away."

Chad, frustrated with the slow local progress, walked in, tapped a senior officer on the shoulder, and with a nod, the officer got the message and left the room.

Chad set down the folder, leaned back, and casually remarked, "Gregory, right? Quite the pricey one."

He snapped the laptop shut and lit a cigarette, taking a few drags.

Outside, some folks raised

eyebrows, thinking of intervening,

but Donnie held them back, "He's our leader, and even your bosses listen to him Sometimes, you gotta bend

the rules to get things

swnov

Chad, flipping through Gregory's file, commented without looking up, "You've had a lot of odd jobs, rough upbringing, huh?" Without waiting for a response, he mused, "Figures, no father listed."

The man finally reacted, squinting at Chad, "What's your point?"

Chad casually offered his colleague, "Want one? Not a bad brand."

His colleague caught his eye and nodded.

Chad lit one for him too.

Watching the two smoke, the suspect's craving kicked in.

Donnie, observing from outside, pointed out, "See that? The suspect's eyes are glued to the cigarettes." "Why?" someone asked, confused.

Donnie, proud, explained, "My boss

doesn't just look at their social ties or status. He noticed this guy's the leader in his group and a heavy smoker. When the boss shows up, the crew hands over cigarettes and lighters. Now, surrounded by smoke, it's eating at him. Watching them smoke while he can't is pushing him to the edge."

"Got it. That's why Officer Chad started smoking right away. Impressive, no wonder he moved up so fast."

Donnie beamed, "I aced my class, and that's why I chose to be his apprentice even though he's just three years older. Pay attention." Chad, noticing the man's agitation, offered, "Want one?"

The man replied, "Wouldn't mind."

Waiting for Chad's cue, the officer beside him watched as Chad smirked slightly, "Looks like the craving's not strong enough after all."

With that, Chad glanced out the window, checking his reflection, then told the person next to him, "Go turn off that camera, will you?" "Officer Chad..."

"Chad?!" The man blurted out, shock evident.

Chad, surprised, asked, "You know me?"
