Sweet Redemption Chapter 13

After I practically stormed out of the office leaving my mate without even a hello, I took my first breath. On the outside I was calm, cool, and collected. The three C's. Internally, I was freaking out.

I just met my mate. I have a mate. I have a f*****g mate. And she's a girl. A hot girl. Like, drop dead sexy, totally my type, girl.

Ahkari... Ahkari Morningstar.

Never did I think I had a mate let alone a same s*x one. Bruce was right, it does happen. And it's happening to me.

What if she doesn't want me? Or worse, what if we have a male mate too? The thought alone of sharing her didn't sit well with me.

What the f**k is wrong with me? I'm a Succubus, literally made to share my partners. Ugh, I barely understand my own feelings now.

Five minutes in a room with my mate and I was already falling apart. What the actual f**k? I need to relax.

At least I don't have to see her for the rest of the night. Even if that did make me sad. No! I'll get over it. I had to.

Laying in bed that night all I could think about was Ahkari. I was quiet most of the night trying to deal with my thoughts and feelings. Bou could tell something was off, and I was pretty sure he knew that I had met my mate. Thankfully he didn't say anything.

When I returned to my room I took a long, and very cold shower. Unfortunately, that did nothing to cool my heated core. A room this amazing, and I can't even enjoy it. Laying in my big fluffy bed all I could think about was Ahkari.

I wonder how soft her hair blonde hair is. Those deep blue eyes sucked me in. And those curves! Ugh!

I am not going to last long if I stayed close to her. Not with those big boobs taunting me. No, I'd just have to keep my distance.

I can do that right?

Ahkari seemed so nice. I could tell that she was shocked to see me. I wasn't sure if that was just because I'm her mate, or if she was shocked that I'm a girl. Either way it didn't look like it mattered to her. The soft smile, and shy hi that she gave me let me know that she's interested. I feel like an a*****e of ignoring her, and walking off. Maybe if I'm a big enough a*****e than she wouldn't even want me. I could be mean to her.

Those promises I made to myself quickly died the moment Ahkari set a cup of coffee down in front of me.

I didn't even spare her a glance. All throughout breakfast Ahkari tried to talk with me. While everyone else was having their own conversations I was shoveling food into my mouth. I was starving and not in the human food way. Which is strange because I just fed last night. Usually I could go weeks without feeding if I wanted. It was dangerous but I could do it. So, why the hell am I ravenous right now?

When Ahkari said something about Bou needing to use the bathroom I looked over at her. She was giving my twin brother a knowing smile. I looked to my twin to see him mouth a thank you before scurrying off.

Ahkari chuckled lowly to herself. It seemed no one even noticed that two of our members were missing. The boys were all too happy to be back together with their father. "Thank you for that." I whispered to Ahkari.

She turned her head to me, a shocked expression on her face. Ahkari quickly recovered though, a small smile falling on her perfect lips. My eyes flickered to them for a moment before meeting her deep blues. f**k, I hope she didn't notice that.

"For what?" She asked.

"For helping my brother with his mate." I told her casually.

Ahkari shrugged.

"Believe me, he's going to need all the help he can get." She mumbled.

I raised a brow at her.

"I'm sure Bou won't have any trouble getting in her pants." I mused.

Ahkari raised her eyes to mine. She gave me a look I couldn't quite decipher.

"I'm sure he won't either. It's her heart he's going to have to work for." She told me.

I wanted to ask her what she meant by that, but someone at the table interrupted our little conversation.

"Kari, why don't you go get dressed too and when you guys come back you can tell us what happened on your mission." Max told her.

Ahkari looked around at the table to everyone but me.

"In front of everyone?" She asked.

Tia nodded.

"Yeah it's fine. These are people we can trust. Besides Bruce and Belle already know about that thing you guys came back with you. No one knows what it is. I even asked Simon and he didn't know." Ahkari's eyebrows shot up.

"Guess Simon doesn't know everything." She said making Max chuckle.

Ahkari pushed her chair back and stood up. She looked down at me and smiled. I swear my breath caught in my throat.

"Wanna come with? I can show you around the mansion. Quickly of course." She offered.

I wanted to say no, I really did.

"Sure." Was what came out.

Not really a no.

I pushed my own chair out, and followed Ahkari up the stairs. We passed a room and I paused hearing s*x noises come from the other side. Ahkari stopped a few feet ahead, and turned to look at me. I put my hand over my mouth to hide my laughter. "My brother is so loud." I snickered.

Ahkari scrunched up her face.

"You're listening to our twins doing stuff?" She asked grossed out.

I couldn't help but laugh harder.

"You can say s*x." I told her.

Ahkari shook her head.

"They're not having s*x." She said, and then turned around.

The beautiful blonde goddess stopped at the door next to the one I'm standing at. She opened it, and walked in without waiting for me to follow. I did anyways though, of course.

"How do you know they aren't f*****g?" I asked as I walked in her bedroom and shut the door behind me.

Ahkari's room was large, like the size of my suite at the school. Her walls were a pretty blue that was between our eyes colors. There was a vanity on the wall next to the door, though it didn't look like she used it much. A dresser sat on the wall opposite of the door. In the far corner sat her large four post bed. A black canopy hung around her bed.

"You can make yourself comfortable while I change." She told me.

I turned my head to look her up and down. Ahkari is wearing gray pajama pants with a bright yellow cropped T-shirt. Honestly, the moment I saw her I thought she looked adorable.

"Change? Out of that?" I teased.

Ahkari blushed, and it went straight to my p***y. f**k, why do I have to be such a simp for the shy ones. She turned to smile at me.

"You like my pjs?" She asked making me giggle. What the f**k? I don't giggle.

I closed the distance and tugged on her yellow shirt. We're the same exact height which I found funny. I looked into her deep blue eyes. "They're cute. But I'll watch you change if you want." My voice came out much more seductively than I intended.

Again, Ahkari's face reddened. Her eyes went slightly wider making her look even more innocent. She shook her head and cleared her throat.

"I was, uh, gonna change in the bathroom. I, uhm, didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable." She murmured.

Shock hit me, and I hoped I covered it up quickly. Being that I only had one night stands nobody ever cared about making me comfortable. Not over something so trivial anyways. I guess usually I was the one pushing things forward. Smiling at her I tucked her hair behind her ear.

"I appreciate you considering my feelings." I told her, and then turned to sit on her bed. "You just change where ever you feel comfortable." I said smiling.

Part of me hoped that she would strip down in front of me. That part of me wanted to watch her squirm under my gaze. Not to mention I desperately wanted to see her naked.

As much as I didn't want a mate, I do want to f**k her. Bad. I bet her p***y tastes divine.

Ahkari hesitated for a moment before taking a handful of clothes, and walking into the bathroom. She shut the door softly, and I released a loud, frustrated breath. I really need to get mine before I exploded.

I laid back on Ahkari's soft bed. s**t, this bed is even better than the one in my suite. Mmmm, I could fall asleep right now. Not like I got any last night anyways. A small giggle had me peeking my eyes open.

The Blonde Goddess that's supposed to be my mate is standing next to the bed staring down at me. She has a hand covering her mouth trying to hide her giggles. I couldn't help the smile that crossed my own lips. "You looked like you were sleeping." She said laughing.

I closed my eyes again.

“I could fall asleep here. You're bed is comfortable." I told her.

The bed dipped down next to me, and I opened my eyes to see Ahkari lay down next to me.

"You can take a nap if you want." She told me.

"And miss out on hearing about your mission? No way." I said.

Ahkari giggled.

"I can fill you in later if you're too tired." She said.

I rolled onto my side, and propped myself up on my elbow. Peering down at her I thought about her words. While they might not have meant much to her they meant a lot ot me.

Growing up surrounded by macho men left them always looking at me like I'm weak. I spent the majority of my life working my a*s off to prove I was strong. Still to this day a lot of the guys back home didn't include me in things. Bruce had gotten into it with a lot of them for with holding information from me.

My mate took one look at me and didn't even hesitate.

"Thank you for the offer." My eyes trailed slowly down her body.

Ahkari changed into black leggings and a tight white cropped T-shirt. I wish she wasn't wearing a bra so I could see her n*****s poke through her shirt. f**k, she's sexy.

"But I think I'll come back down with you." I said as my eyes settled on her face.

Despite her face growing redder she smiled at me.

"Okay." She said, and we both stood up.

Ahkari paused at her door, and turned to face me. She bit her bottom lip, and played with her hands before looking at me.

"Uhm, maybe after we can go for a walk?" She asked. "I can show you all the best spots that no one else knows about. As long as Tia doesn't want me to do anything that is." She rushed out.

I gave her a pained look.
