Sweet Redemption Chapter 37

After we got to her house and joined our twins in the kitchen I could tell something was off with Bianca. Ahkari told us how she had been acting different since having been marked. That only made me want to be marked more. I did thoroughly enjoy that my sister seemed to feel completely different about her mate now. Good for her, she deserves it.

Ahkari told Acaisia about how she was covered in hickeys and I couldn't help the smug smirk I made. I didn't tell her because I didn't want her to hide them. Not that she had any clothes at the time anyways but still. After Ahkari and B left, Acaisia dragged me upstairs. She actually grabbed my hand and pulled me along. I guess that she did let me pull her into my lap with barely a complaint.

My mate pulled me into her bedroom, shut the door, and slammed me against it.

"f**k, that was hot." I told her.

"Why the f**k didn't you tell me I still had hickeys?" She asked angry.

I gave her a sheepish look.

"You didn't ask?" I tried.

Acaisia hufffed and crossed her arms.

"Oh please." She grumbled.

I watched as my mate turned around and went to her bathroom. Following her, she stripped out of my shirt and threw it at my face. Acaisia checked out her entire body in the full length mirror. Her angry eyes turned to me. "They're all over me!" She threw her hands up. "Even my a*s cheeks have hickeys."

"Most of them are on those beautiful thighs of yours. Or are those mine too?" I smiled slyly at her.

Acaisia scoffed.

"How are they still here? Did you do something to me? Is this part of the Incubus thing?" She rushed out question after question.

I shrugged.

"I doubt it but I don't know." I told her honestly.

"You don't know?" She asked.

I shook my head.

"Well, to start with I've never been with someone like you." I winked at her. "But like you, I never really stuck around after. Sometimes for the night but usually I left before my partner woke up, so I wouldn't know if anyone had hickeys at all." I told her. Acaisia growled lowly at me.

s**t. Did I say something wrong?

"Just how many f*****g whores have you been with?" She asked.

I stared at her stunned for a moment before laughter hit.

"It's not f*****g funny." She gritted out pissed off.

I was doubled over in laughter.

"I'm sorry baby." I told her as I tried to rein it in. "Why does everyone I've been with have to be a w***e?" I asked her still amused.

Acaisia had moved on to her closet while I laughed. She was in the middle of dressing as much as I didn't want her to. My mate had put on some ripped light blue jeans, and a bra so far. She was pulling a light purple cropped long sleeve shirt over her head as she huffed. I couldn't have been more happy that she wasn't hiding my little love marks.

"Because." Was the only excuse she gave me.

I raised a brow at her but she only folded her arms over her chest.

It was then that I realized how small she was feeling. Acaisia is part werewolf, no matter how hard she tried she would always be jealous of my past.

Sitting on her bed I patted my lap and held out my hand.

"Come here." I told her.

Acaisia looked from my hand to my face. She bit her bottom lip as she hesitated. After another second she gave up her little battle and walked to me.

I circled my arms around her and pulled her into my lap. She didn't fight me, not even when I swung her legs over my other leg. Cupping her face I forced her to meet my eyes.

"You don't honestly think anyone from my past could possibly hold a candle to you, do you?" I asked her.

Acaisia only stared back at me, her bottom lip trembled slightly.

"Acaisia Gretta Morningstar, this isn't like you." I told her.

She scrunched up her nose and let out a small giggle.

"Gretta?" She asked.

"I don't know your middle name so I had to make one up." I told her.

Acaisia giggled again as her arms snaked up to wrap around my neck.

"It's Mae actually." She told me.

I gave her a nod and cleared my throat.

"Acaisia Mae Morningstar, this isn't like you. You're acting jealous." I told her smirking.

"So." She said innocently.

"Sooo." I drug out the word before capturing her lips in a quick kiss. "That would imply that you want me. Are you admitting that you want me as badly as I want you?" I teased her. Acaisia smiled at me.

"I already admitted that my p***y belongs to you." She told me.

I placed a small kiss to her nose.

"Now I'm asking if you're admitting that your heart belongs to me too." I said softly.

"I won't be admitting that anytime soon Bou." Her words were stern but soft.

I kissed her lips again.

"I know baby." I trailed kisses along her cheek and jaw. "But I have no problem admitting it to you." I pulled back to look into her deep blue eyes.

Grabbing her hand I placed it over my heart.

"My heart belongs to you Acaisia Mae Morningstar. I belong to you." I told her.

Acaisia gave me a sad look before looking away.

"You say that now." She mumbled.

I gripped her chin and forced her eyes back to mine.

"I will always say that. There will NEVER be a time that I won't belong to you. I'm yours, forever. I'm never going to give up on this." I guestered between the two of us. "I'm never going to stop touching you, or calling you pet names. I will never let you go Acaisia. I'm prepared for the time I'm gonna have to put in to convice you of this, but I. Will. Never. Let. You. Go." I made sure to enunciate every word.

Tears pooled in Acaisia's eyes and her bottom lip began to tremble again. s**t. I didn't mean to upset her.

Before I could apologize she shoved her body into mine. Her arms tightened around me as she hugged me. I held her just as tightly to me.

"I don't give a f**k what you say Acaisia. I love you." I told her.

"We just met two days ago." She told me but didn't let go of me.

"I just told you I didn't give a f**k what you say." I said softly.

Acaisia tightened her arms around my neck. She pushed her face further into my neck and inhaled deeply. A soft sigh left her lips.

"This changes nothing." She whispered.

"Oh baby, this changes everything and you know it." I told her.

Much to my surprise Acaisia laughed lightly. I couldn't help but smile. Acaisia wasn't ready to admit it out loud yet but she was opening up to me more.

After another minute she finally pulled back to look at me. She leaned in to press her perfect lips to mine. Our kiss was passionate but quick.

"Maybe we should get some food and head out." I told her breaking the kiss.

As much as I'd rather eat her again I needed to hold back. Again, we made another step in the right direction. Acaisia needed to know that I wanted more than just that p***y of hers. And I needed to prove it to her.

Acaisia smiled at me.

"Okay." She mumbled out.

About an hour later Aciaisa and I were sitting in her sisters office waiting for our twins to show up. I was sitting on the couch and had pulled Acaisia onto my lap. She tried to pull away at first but stopped fighting me after she noticed the death glare I was giving Simon.

As soon as we entered the office that stupid dillhole was waiting. My mate greeted him so warmly it made my blood boil. Not to mention the flirting he was doing and little wink he gave her.

Now, I had my arms possessively around her as I glared daggers at the demon. Who only smiled in return.

"Acaisia I didn't know you met your mate." The dillhole said.

Acaisia only shrugged in response. You'd think that her not flat our denying it would make me happy, but no. I was honestly sad that she hadn't come out and told him yes. And I used that sadness to fuel my anger.

"You aren't marked yet." He said making my hold on my mate tighten. "Wait... Are those hickeys?"

"Yes. They are." I answered for her.

Simon smirked at me.

"I thought they were supposed to heal quickly."

I shrugged. "Guess it's because I'm her mate."

Simon looked from me to Acaisia. "Didn't think you'd ever settle down Cais."

My body froze. He has a f*****g nickname for her? I could barely get away with calling her baby and he gets a whole a*s nickname.

Unbelievable.

My hold on her tightened even more.

Acaisia wasn't paying much attention before but she is now. She turned slightly in my hold so she could look at me. I was still glaring at Simon. Acaisia put her phone down and wrapped her arms around my neck. She kissed my cheek and I felt some of my angry dissipate.

"Isn't he just the sexiest Si?" She asked him as she pressed her cheek to mine. "I can barely keep my hands off of him." She said making me smile.

I turned my head to kiss her cheek.

"Then why isn't he marked Cais?" Simon asked her making me return my glare.

Acaisia grabbed my chin and forced my head back to her.

"He's been too naughty for that." She told him, never taking her eyes off of me.

Acaisia smiled at me and I couldn't help but return it. Then she let me go and turned her head back to Simon.

"Don't think I missed your little mark Simon. You and Korono are getting serious I see." She said.

Who's Korono?

Simon smiled. "Well. We are mates."

My eyes went wide.

"I didn't know you guys were mates." Acaisia said.

Simon shrugged. "Neither did we at first."

Acaisia opened her mouth to say something else but then our twins came walking in. They were holding hands, a silly smile on Bianca's face.

Gods, I hope I act like that when Acaisia marks me. Ahkari's eyes scanned the room.

"Where's Tia?" She asked.

Simon was the one to answer.

"She is busy. There isn't a need to discuss the mission. We all know. I'm going to teleport myself since I still have the Moon Stone Aureaila gave me. I think both of you should teleport your mates. The Fae said they set up more tents in front of the cave. I had to there yesterday to inspect everything." He finished, and then looked up at us.

"Ready?" He asked.

Acaisia stood up and beckoned me over to our suitcases. She had me grab both of them and then hooked her arms around my neck. I smiled down at her.

My Gods, she's so f*****g beautiful. Without another word, in the blink of an eye everything around us changed. I barely registered it at first. No sight would be more breathtaking than looking into those deep blues.

My mate slowly slid her arms down my chest and looked around. Finally, I was able to tear my gaze from her and look around as well. My eyes went wide as I tried to take it all in.

We are in the middle of what looks like a forest. It kind of reminds me of the movie Avatar.

The plants and moss growing on the trees were glowing in the night. Mushrooms were growing out of the trees. All kinds of plants I didn't recognize were around us. There were tents set up but I didn't care about those.

My eyes wandered up to the night sky. The sky was more purple than blue here. Three moons hung high in the sky. One so close I swear I could touch it. There are so many stars here.

Turning to take in everything I saw the cave they were talking about. A chill ran down my spine as I looked into it. Now I know what they meant when they said it was off. I noticed the thick black root that was coming out of it. It seemed to s**k up all the life of the forest that it touched.

"There are three tents. I figured that would be enough for us." Simon said smirking. "I'll be taking this one. You guys can fight over the rest. We will take turns sleeping tonight. First thing in the morning we will be going in. I'll take the first watch." He said. I looked at my mate.

"What tent do you want?" I asked her.

She narrowed her eyes at me and opened her mouth to what I could only assume was argue that we wouldn't be sharing, but my twin interrupted her before she could start.

"Ahkari and I will be taking this one." Bianca said before grabbing her suitcase and mate, and disappearing into the large tent.

I turned back to Acaisia and smiled slyly. She huffed before entering the last tent. The inside was not what I was expecting at all. Outside the tents looked flimsy, there wasn't even a zipper on it.

The inside though.. It was much bigger on the inside then out. There was a full bed in the corner and a heater next to it.

"Wow." I breathed out.

Acaisia took the suitcases and placed them on the other side of the tent. She opened hers up and pulled out a few things. I just stood back and watched.

Acaisia ignored me as she changed into a pair of sweatpants and tank top. She looked over at me and raised a brow before walking to the bed and crawling in it.

"You might want to get some sleep before our shift starts." She told me.

I wasted no time stripping out of my clothes. When I was completely naked I crawled into the bed with her. Wrapping my arm around her waist I pulled her flush against me.
