Well, today has been a s**t storm so far. I was feeling so good and energized this morning.

Now, despite the fact that I've slept on and off since we got to this realm, I was feeling exhausted. It was strange how quickly the energy was being drained from me. At least it felt that way until Ahkari got hurt.

I knew the moment it happened. It was like I was the one being torn open. s**t f*****g hurt like a mother fucker. Not only did the wound itself hurt but the fear that coursed through my body when I realized it was my mate that was hurt... That pain was far worse. I know that my mate is unkillable, er, at least she doesn't stay dead. But that didn't make the fear easier.

Thankfully Bou had gathered himself fast and saved everyone's asses. I knew he was furious. Bou rarely ever got mad but when he did.. Well, it wasn't pretty. I knew my twin well enough to know exactly what he was thinking. Bou trained harder than any of the others back home. He had issues ever since that one night when we were kids.

That night that I almost got hurt and Max discovered his powers. Bou is one of the top notch members of the Bounty Hunters. You'd never guess that with his carefree attitude but I know him better. He's a beast when he fights.

I'd thought that I'd be the one to be mad that our mates ditched us like that but I wasn't. I mean I was angry but not like Bou was. I was more scared than anything and relieved that my mate was alright.

Ahkari told me what happened and I had a hard time still being mad at her. Especially with that fear that I felt. All I wanted was to crawl into bed and hold my mate. The stress of the day was too much.

As soon as Ahkari climbed into the bed with me she fell asleep almost instantly. I had fallen asleep as well for a while but I've been up for about an hour now. Ahkari was still sleeping peacefully next to me. Here and there she would cuddle up to me more and sigh. It was adorable honestly.

Now I was laying on my back with my mate on my chest. My hand was lazily twirling her shoulder length blonde hair. Ahkari had an arm wrapped around my middle and a leg between mine. I was unbelievably comfortable.

The room we were in was alight with candles that never seemed to end. There are no windows though so I have no idea what time it is. Could be the middle of the night for all I know.

This place is weird. It looks like someone has been living in every single room, yet everyone seemed to be sure that no one was here. Something was off with this whole little world.

Ahkari started to stir next to me, distracting me from my thoughts. I kept playing with her hair as she looked up at me. My mate blessed me with a wide sleepy smile. She's so f*****g pretty. "Hey." She breathed out.

"Hey." I said back, giving her a smile of my own. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine Bianca I promise." She told me.

I knew that Ahkari could feel my worry, my fear. I've never cared for someone so much in my life. Not even my own twin compared to how deeply I feel for Ahkari, I guess that's how the mate bond workds though. I think I'm falling in love with her, and that only scared me more.

What if we had a third mate out there waiting for us? I don't want to share her.

"What are you thinking about?" Ahkari asked me softly.

I gave her a bright smile. "You like always."

Ahkari snuggled more into me.

"Good things I hope." She mumbled making me giggle.

"What time is it? How long have I been out?" She asked.

"I have no idea. I think I've been awake for about an hour. It's hard to tell with no windows in here." I told her.

Ahkari sat up and I pouted at the loss of her warmth. Not that she could see with her back to me. She searched the room for her suitcase and rummaged through it for a few minutes. Finally, she pulled out what she was looking for and returned to the bed. "Your phone works here?" I frowned as I watched her look at her phone screen.

"Kind of." She said making me scrunch my face at her.

"There is this high tech guy in one of the big packs down south. My parents are good friends with them and the tech guy enhanced our phones so when we travel to other realms it still shows us the date and times of home back in our realm. That's all though, it's useless other than that. But.." She trailed off as she frowned at her phone.

"But what?" I asked impatiently.

Ahkari looked up at me, her face still scrunched up in that cute way.

"It's not working here." She told me as she turned her phone to face me.

I looked down to see the screen freaking out. Like she had dropped it in water or something. It glitched constantly, not giving us any information on the time and date. I looked back up to my mate.

"So how do we know when to check in?" I asked her.

Ahkari chew on her bottom lip for a moment. The simple act went straight to my core. I want to chew on that lip so bad. My mates eyes snapped up to mine.

"Bianca." She said my name lowly.

f**k, it's so hot when she says my name like that. Like I'm her naughty girl being scolded.

"We should go talk to Simon about what to do next." She said but she was staring at my lips.

I leaned in slowly until I was almost touching her lips. Then I stopped. I waited to see if she would close the distance. My mate didn't take more than a few seconds to smash her lips to mine. She kissed me so roughly that I fell back on the bed. Ahkari followed me down, never taking her lips from mine. Her tongue trailed across my lips and I didn't hesitate to open up for her.

All too soon Ahkari pulled away from me. I pouted at her, making her giggle. Wrapping my arms around her neck I pulled her down on top of me. I never want to stop touching her.

"Baby, we should go talk to Simon. Then we can go explore this place if you want." She said.

Reluctantly I let go as I sighed.

"Fine. Exlporing does sound fun." I said.

Ahkari and I got up and put some clothes on. I dressed in a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a sleevless green shirt. I noticed that the hickeys Ahkari put on me last night were still covering my chest.

Throwing my hair up in a high pony, I sat down to put my tennis shoes on and then watched my mate. Ahkari is the most beautiful and gorgeous women I've ever laid eyes on. Her skin is so creamy and looks even paler next to my tan complexion. The black jeans and black tank top made her pale skin stand out even more. I watched as she put her hair up in a low ponytail. Standing up I walked over to her.

Ahkari smiled at me as I got closer to her. I placed a soft kiss to her lips and reached around to snatch her hair tie out of her hair, then I pulled away.

"I like your hair down." I told her.

A blush creeped over her cheeks making her look adorable.

"Good to know." She mumbled.

"You ready to go talk to Simon?" She asked.

I nodded and we set out in search for the trustworthy demon. We tried his bedroom across the hall first and thankfully he was there. Simon opened his door and smiled widely to us.

Despite the fact that Simon is a demon I had a really feeling about him. The Morningstar's did say that they trust him, so he can't be that bad right?

"What can I do for you ladies?" He asked smoothly as he leaned on the door frame.

"Have you checked your phone since being here?" Ahkari asked, getting straight to the point.

Simon shook his head.

"Nope haven't had a chance." He turned to walk back into his room.

Ahkari and I stepped forward as we watched him get his phone. Simon stared at the screen for a moment before frowning and looking up at us. "Strange." Was all he said.

"Yeah. How are we supposed to know when to check in?" I asked Simon.

"We keep track of time." He stated simply.

Ahkari scoffed at him.

"Did they not tell you that the creepy cave messes with time?" She asked him.

"Oh, yeah. Forgot about that." Simon said chuckling.

Ahkari just stared at him incredulously. I was trying not to laugh honestly. Simon sighed and ran a hand through his dark hair.

"We stay for three days. Then we go back. That should be plenty of time, we might be checking in early even." He stated.

Ahkari gave him a curt nod.

"Did you explore the whole castle today?" She asked him.

Simon nodded.

"I found nothing. It's strange isn't it? This place looks like its lived in by several people, yet there is no one to be found. No food either." He said. My eyes went wide.

"What are we going to do without food?" I asked.

Ahkari squeezed my hand that was still connected to hers.

"We brougt some just in case. Besides that we can feed from each other." She gave me a reassuring smile and I instantly felt better.

"Oh are you ladies offering me a three sum then?" Simon asked amusted.

Anger flowed through me immediately. I opened my mouth ready to tell him to f**k off when Ahkaris growl stopped me. She growled so loudly at Simon I was sure she shook the whole castle. Her hand unhooked from mine only to wrap around my waist and pull me flush against her side.

"Mine." She growled out dangerously while glaring at Simon.

The Demon threw his hands up in surrender.

"Okay okay. I was only joking Kari." He said still smiling.

If Simon was afraid he didn't show it. Which was kind of nuts considering the hostility that was radiating from my mate. Simon's eyes flickered to mine for a moment and I could tell he wanted me to calm my mate down. I f*****g should feed into it and tell her to attack for making that f*****g comment.

What an i***t.
