"Welcome home" Tia said to us.

"Uhhhhh thanks?" Ahkari said.

Just then Max came running out of one of the doors to join us. He wrapped his arms around his mate and kissed her cheek. Then he turned to us with a huge smile.

"It's all set." He told Tia.

"What's all set?" I asked.

Tia smiled at us. "My job was to keep you all distracted while Max moved all of your stuff in. This is your guys' new home." She told us.

When we all just stared at her blankly she elaborated.

"Max and I talked about how the rest of my siblings were going to need there own space just like us. So, we got with Mom and Dad about renovating half the manison into apartments. I'm sure not all of our siblings will stay here, just like Relly didn't. If they do we can worry about that later. But in the meantime... We have five apartments so far. Now you guys can have your own space." She told us.

I blinked at her. It took Ahkari just a few seconds to start jumping up and down with excitement. Even Acaisia smiled brightly at her sister.

"Which one is ours?" Ahkari asked as she grabbed my wrist.

"That one?" Max said pointing to the first one. "Ours is on the end." He told us.

Ahkari wasted no time dragging us to the door. She fiddled with the keys in her excitement but eventually got the door opened. We walked in and gasped at the same time.

"Oh my Gods." I breathed out.

The place is huge. This is an apartment? The ceilings are high and the place is elegant looking. There is a small entry way with a coat closet to the side and a shoe rack with a few pairs of our shoes already there. The walls are a pretty shade of gray.

Once we walked out of the entry way we entered into an open floor plan of the living room, dinning room, and kitchen. The walls in the living room were grey with one navy blue wall. There was a large white sofa with two matching chairs. A fire place opposite of them and a white coffee table in the middle with a vase of flowers in the middle. The floors were hardwood and there was a fluffy gray rug under the small table.

I followed Ahkari in as we checked out the small dinning area. There was a pretty marble table with four chairs around it and another vase of flowers in the middle. A small but stunning chandelier hung above the table. There was a large window in the room that took up almost the whole wall.

The kitchen was even better. There is an island with three bar stools on one side. It has everything we could ever need. Microwave, stove, fridge, coffee maker, plates, cups, silverware, all of it. And everything was a matching gray color. I love it.

Ahkari and I giggled as we went searching through our new apartment. The place is huge! There were stairs and when we walked up the stairs there was even more. We found three guest bedrooms, all had their own bathroom. There was also a half bath off the living room downstairs. Then we finally found our bedroom.

We walked through the door and another gasp left my lips. Our old room was huge to me. I had never seen a bedroom as big as Ahkari's, but this.. This is like three times that size. The room is painted in a deep purple color with a fluffy gray carpet. A large four post king sized bed sat in the middle of the room with a purple canopy hanging around it.

There were bedside tables and a long dresser in the room with a circle mirror on top. Ahkari walked to our closet and started jumping up and down again. I went to go look and got just as excited. We have a huge walk in closet with all of our clothes already hung up. After that we checked out the bathroom. Just like everything else, it's huge. The shower is just as large as the one we shared with our twins. And the the bath tub! It's a large clawfoot tub. I've always wanted one of these. There are two sinks with all of our toiletries sitting around it.

"Wow, they really moved all of our stuff in and everything." I commented.

"I don't even care that someone touched our s*x toys." Ahkari said the excitment clear in her voice.

"There are all in a tote anyways. Hopefully whoever just looked at it and moved it without touching it." I said.

Ahkari wrapped her arms around me from behind as we stared into our bathroom. She placed soft kisses along my neck as her hands started to roam down my body. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes.

"What do you say we break in the new bed?"

Bou's P.O.V.

******

I was beyong happy that, that little f**k Hayden was getting what he deserved. Acaisia's shock about the other Alpha's being on her side was intense through our bond. When she started asking where Hayden was now I started to get angry. Why the hell does she care where that asshat is? The more she asked, the more her sadness seeped through our bond. She was that upset about him being locked away? Sure 'dungeon' doesn't sound like a great place to be, but if it were up to me Hayden would be dead.

So why does Acaisia care so much? Does she regret telling her sister about him? Did seeing him today make her want him again? Or maybe she wanted him now that she realized he came back here for her? Our bond was not as helpful as I thought it would be. All I could feel was overhwelming guilt and heart break from her. But I didn't understand why. Hayden did all of this to himself. She shouldn't feel guilty. And heart break? What the hell is that about?

When Acaisia got up and walked out I wanted to go after her. It was an involuntary reaction to go and comfort my mate. Bianca held me back and I was glad she did. By the time they were ready for me to go get my mate I was over this whole situation. Honestly I was ready to be dismissed so I could get away from everyone. I need some air.

If Acaisia wanted to be upset over her ex I wasn't going to stop her. Finally, after weeks of begging her to mark me she did. All for what though? If she didn't want to be with me then whatever. I knew I was acting out of character but I had my own feelings too. Feelings that never mattered to Acaisia before. I shouldn't have to comfort her over her ex.

f**k that.

When my mate had returned I moved over to allow her some space to sit. I didn't want her sitting in my lap while she cried over some other guy. Haven't I done that enough for her? I ignored the hurt look on her face and she chose to sit somewhere else. Good. On the walk back to the mansion Acaisia had tried to grab my hand while we were behind everyone but I pulled away from her. "Bou.." She whispered but I ignored her and jogged to catch up with my twin.

When Tia handed my mate those keys and explained what they had done for us I couldn't believe it. I wasn't exactly in a celebrating mood but this was still incredible. Our twins hurried off to their new place and I turned to my brother. "And which one is ours?" I asked him.

"The one next door." He said as he looked between the two of us.

I walked up to my mate and grabbed her hand. Acaisia stared up at my face as I pulled the keys out of her hands. Then I turned and walked to our door without bothering to see if my mate was following.

Stepping inside I gasped. This place is much bigger than I thought it would be. There was a small entry way with a shoe rack and a coat closet. I could feel Acaisia behind me so I took a few more steps inside to allow her room.

The apartment had an open floor plan. The walls are painted a very homey dark green with dark hard wood floors. The dinning room was gorgeous and the kitchen had everything we could ever need. I scurried around the apartment taking everything in. I found stairs that lead to three guest bedrooms and our master bedroom. Finally, no more locking the doors or worrying about being too loud.

I was in our bedroom when I sensed my mate in the doorway.

"This place is amazing." I said to her. "Look at how big this bed is." I said as I pointed at the king sized bed.

Our room has deep red walls and the same dark wood floors. A deep red canopy hung over the bed.

"The bathroom is even bigger then the old one." I told her.

Acaisia nodded and forced a smile on her full lips. "Do you love it?" She asked softly.

"Uh yeah. Don't you?" I asked her.

My mate's eyes glossed over and she looked away for a moment. When she looked back at me she had tried to cover up her sadness with a fake smile. It pissed me off.

"I'm so glad you're happy with it. I can't believe they did this for us." She said as she walked over to me.

"I

I agree. I can't wait to try out the shower." I told her as she stopped in front of me.

Acaisia wrapped her arms around my waist and looked up at me.

"We could try it out right now?" She suggested.

I stared into her eyes. I was looking for something but I wasn't sure what. She was hiding how sad she was feeling from me. Is it because she's upset about her ex? Reaching down I unwrapped her arms from me.

"You can. I'm gonna check out the rest of our new place." I said as I walked away from her.

"Did I do something?" Her voice was so soft and quiet I barely heard her.

Though I continued to act like it didn't bother me.

"Nope." I said as I walked out of the room.

Acaisia's overwhelming guilt and sadness came back through our bond. I turned back to face her as I was in the doorway.

"Can you teach me how to block you out?" I asked her.

Acaisia stared at me in a mix of confusion and heart break.

"What?" She breathed out.

"You said that we would need to practice blocking each other out. I wanna know how." I said with no emotion.

A tear fell from Acaisia's eye and everything in me screamed to go to her, but I didn't.

"Why?" She asked.

"So I don't have to feel how upset you are about your first mate." I told her casually, like it didn't bother me at all.

"Bou I'm not-" She started but I interrupted her.

"It's fine if you don't want to tell me. I'm going to go see Max, ya know thank him for all he did for me and my ungreatful mate. He can tell me how." I said and then left without another word.

The moment I got the bottom of the stairs Acaisia's presence inside of me disappeared. She must have blocked me out. It's about damn time.

I lied to her when I told her I was going to see Max. Honestly, I was pretty sure that they didn't expect to see us for the rest of the day. So, instead I went to the kitchen and raided the fridge.

An hour later I was almost done cooking some spaghetti for Acaisia and me. She had yet to come down and I hadn't heard footsteps move around at all. I'm sure she decided to take a shower, but it has been a while. Turning the stove off I ventured back up to our bedroom.

When I entered our room Acaisia was laying on our bed. She had no covers over her and wasn't asleep. My mate just laid there and stared out the window across from our bed. She didn't even look up at me as I entered or when I walked over to her.

I crouched down in front of her to look into her face. It was like she stared right through me. That f*****g sadness was evident in her eyes and I was instantly furious. Taking a deep breath I tried to calm myself down before speaking.

"I made dinner. Your favorite." I told her.

Acaisia's eyes flickered to mine for the first time since I entered the room.

"I thought you were leaving." She said.

"I decided I wanted to spend time in our new place instead." I told her.

Acaisia's bottom lip quivered. "But not with me." She stated sadly.

I instantly felt guilty, but I had every right to be mad at her. For once I wasn't going to bend over. I beat the s**t out of that false mate of hers, he got himself in deep s**t, and she still felt for him. I had spent enough time trying to convince her that she deserved better. Now I was over it.

"You were sulking." I told her.

Acaisia scoffed lightly as tears started to roll down her cheeks. "What did I do Bou? Why are you so angry with me?" She asked me.

"Nothing. I just refuse to comfort you when you're upset over him." I stated.

Acaisia sat up and swung her legs over the bed. "And when it's you that I'm upset over?" She asked.

I sighed and ran a hand through my curls.

"I've done nothing wrong Acaisia." I bit out.

Acaisia nodded. "I know." She said softly. "I just need to try harder." She mumbled.

I decided to ignore that comment. "Are you coming down to eat?" I asked.

Acaisia nodded and gave me another fake smile. I was getting very sick of those. She held onto my arm as we decended the stairs. Despite being angry with her, her touch soothed the rage inside of me. Once we got to the kitchen I told Acaisia to sit down and I brought her a plate of food.

"So how do you like our new place?" She asked me.

"It's amazing." I replied.

"We should definitely thank Max and Tia though." Acaisia said.

"Mhmm." I replied between mouthfulls.

"This is really good Bou. Thank you for cooking me dinner." She said.

I shrugged. "I was hungry and we had the ingredients. It was no big deal." I told her.

"Bou are you okay?" Acaisia asked.

I looked up to meet her eyes. Acaisia's were full of worry and pain. I know I didn't put that pain there. She's still thinking about that f**k face.

"I'm great thanks." I bit out.

Acaisia stayed quiet the rest of our meal. I ate faster than I think I ever have before. When I had shoveled the last of my food into my mouth I leaned back in my chair and looked around. This place really is beautiful. It's a shame I have to share it with someone that doesn't even want me. I looked at Acaisia to see her pushing noodles around on her plate.

"Do you not like it?" I asked, noticing that there was barely any gone.

Acaisia's eyes shot up to mine.

"N-no, it's great." She said with a fake smile.

"Then why aren't you eating?" My question came out a bit more angry than I intended. Acaisia winced at my tone but I ignored it.

"I'm not that hungry." She mumbled.

I gave her a short laugh and rolled my eyes. Getting up from the table I grabbed my plate and threw it in the sink. Then I turned back to my mate who was staring at me.

"You can do dishes since I cooked." I said then headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" She asked me soflty.

"Out." I replied. The emotions that hit me through our bond had me doubled over in pain. I tried to push them out but I couldn't. f**k, it feels like my heart is being ripped out.

"Bou are you alright?" Acaisia asked as she rushed over to me.

I pushed her off of me and stood up. "Keep your emotions to yourself Acaisia." I gritted out at her.

Acaisia furrowed her brow at me. "This is what you wanted Bou. To be connected to me." She argued.

I gave her a dry laugh. "Well you know what they say, be careful what you wish for."

A slap sounded in the room. It took a few seconds for me to realize that Acaisia just slapped me. Holding my jaw I turned my eyes back to her.

"I hate you." She whispered as tears feel from her angry eyes.

"Same babe." I replied with a laugh.

Acaisia seemed shocked by my words but I didn't care.

"What the hell is going on with you? This isn't like you." She whispered.

"Why? Because I'm not fawning all over you as you cry over another guy?" I threw at her. "I went through a lot for you Acaisia. It's time you go through some s**t for me. I'm allowed to be mad at you. You do not own me and I am not some lap dog for you to cry to." "You're right. You're my mate. You are supposed to-" She started to yell but I interrupted her.

"To what Acaisia!? I'm supposed to do what exactly?" I yelled back.

"To care." She whispered as more tears fell from her eyes. I stared at her blankly as she stared at me with more sadness than I've ever seen in her eyes. After a few seconds of my silence she spoke. "You're right." She sniffled. "I deserve this."

Then she turned around and trudged up the stairs. A few seconds later I heard the faint sound of our door close and sighed. Why was I being like this? What is going on with me? Acaisia was right, this isn't like me. I just told her that I regretted being mated to her. How could I do that?

Taking my shoes off I turned to rush up the stairs and apologize to her, but something stopped me. Or should I say someone.

Omen was standing in front of me looking exactly the same as the last time I saw him.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Sorry boy, but she needs to wollow in order for me to take her." He said.

"What are you-" I tried to ask but Omen pressed his long boney pointer finger to my forehead and everything went black.
