Larissa didn't want to return to that city as it was filled with memories of her and Kevan.

"I want a new change in environment. Start fresh," Larissa said.

"No matter where you go, you'll have my full support. I just have one request; after you've settled everything, you must contact me," Dylan said.

"Okay," she agreed.

It was rare for Larissa to be free, so she asked him to stay for dinner. However, he rejected her. After looking at the time, he said helplessly, "It's late. I have to go to the hospital. Let's make an appointment sometime later at noon if you want to treat me to a meal."

"Why are you going to the hospital?" Larissa asked curiously. There was no way he would accompany Ruby like he had accompanied her, right? They didn't have such a close relationship.

Dylan pouted and said, "I'm going to be the caretaker for Kevan. What else do you think I can do?"

Larissa was even more puzzled. "Isn't Ruby there to care for him?"

"Heh!" Dylan sneered, "She's carrying the only bloodline of the Rogers. How could she do heavy work? Kevan has all these peculiar requests, and since Ruby is unable to fulfill them, am I not the only one who can help him? I genuinely suspect that I may have wronged him in my previous life, which is why I have to serve him in this one."

However, these matters were no longer related to Larissa, so she couldn't comment on them. She patted Dylan's shoulder and said sympathetically, "Well, thank you for your hard work."

Later that evening, Larissa was on a video call with Wendy, and she told her about her resignation. Wendy asked, "Do you want to come here to study?"

After Larissa had divorced Travis, Wendy had always asked her to study abroad with her. At that time, Larissa had the opportunity to secure a full scholarship to further her studies upon graduation. However, she opted to prioritize earning more money to support herself, declining her teacher's offer even though her teacher had high hopes for her. "You have enough savings and work experience from a renowned hotel like the Regal Dynasty Hotel, a leader in the industry. Even after two years, you'll still have plenty of opportunities. So why not take a two year break and relax? You can enrich yourself while accompanying me." Wendy tried her best to persuade her.

"The main point was the last part of the sentence, huh?" Larissa remarked.

Wendy laughed and nodded. "Oops! You caught me. You have no idea how lonely I feel here."

"I'll seriously consider your suggestion." Although Larissa had the idea of furthering her studies, she was scared of going abroad. First of all, she was concerned about the language barrier. She worried she might not survive abroad.

Larissa had been cooped up in her house for a few days, relying on takeout meals. However, once she grew tired of the nearby food options, she finally mustered the motivation to freshen up. She planned to go out for a meal and watch a movie to pass the time.

Unexpectedly she met Lana. She had heard about Lana getting pregnant before marriage, and her noticeably round belly confirmed it. However, Larissa was taken aback by just how large Lana's belly had become. It seemed that Lana might be further along in her pregnancy than just three months pregnant. Yet, three months ago, Lana was still in a relationship with Lucas.

Larissa couldn't help but feel sorry for Lucas. Not only had he been cheated on, but he had also foolishly given money to two anchors under Lana's supervision.

"Larissa!" Lana called out before she could evade her. Larissa quickly turned away. However, Lana didn't care about the fact that she was pregnant and simply dashed forward to Larissa. Then, she pulled Larissa's arm and smiled, "Larissa, what a coincidence."
